Showed up for my appointment and the guys at front desk took 5 mins. for someone to greet me and they came off a little rude. I did ask to switch my tire alignment to a rotation and he said that was no problem so that was nice. Wasn't horrible but also the bathroom is so small my legs were pushing against the wall the whole time, and the vent above the toilet was disgusting. The actual technicians were very polite and friendly. I appreciate your professionalism Jeff and the other gentlemen with the long brown beard. However Aaron who works the phones and front desk is a disaster. First they rescheduled me a week later which is fine. Then when comes to my appointment I walk in greeted by Aaron who appears to hate life sitting in his spin chair. Monotoned quiet and rude. I came for just a simple oil change and am required to wait 3+ hours. Which was never discussed. I understand if you're busy, short staffed etc. but don't make a specific time to bring my car by just for it to sit in your parking lot for hours. This is a scheduling poor management situation. If my time is 10am that should mean within a reasonable time my car gets worked on at 10am. Otherwise I would have arrive 2 hours later when you are ready to work on my car. Even with that being said, it's your business run it how you want. If I had more time I would wait. But it's the interaction we had Aaron. You should be in the pit away from public if you want to be a d*ck. Clearly I know this is not a Jiffy Lube. I could easily go to where I normally go which is my dealer. But I chose a small business which I had a discount with to give my business instead. You ruined it and now you get an entire story about how much you failed at your job. Next time. Greet your customers, don't insult them. Look presentable. Most of all respect your customers time. Overall I will never be returning. I've been coming to this place for years, and I am coming back to say that they are STILL AWESOME. The standards are high, the mechanics are nice, and they don't condescend to women and/or people who don't know much about cars. I'm also writing this after coming back from an extensive repair. I definitely grew frustrated toward the end of the process, and they were lovely and patient with me. Definitely might have verged into Young Karen territory. LOL, wth?? I received a voicemail from James, the manager at Good Neighbor about my previous review. He told me he was 'baffled' by my review and said that reviews like mine hurt businesses, at which point I just deleted the voicemail. Thank goodness I didn't pick up the phone when he called or I might have just hung up on him. Listen, I don't slander businesses for kicks. There are some yelpers who are never satisfied and just 1 and 2* everything. I am not one of them. Hell, go look at my review history - my most common reviews are 5* and 4*. That said, I stand by everything I said in my review: 1) Yes, my car did have a leak. 2) Yes, Good Neighbor did find it. 3) Good Neighbor said that my leak was 'massive'. It was not. It wasn't close. Fortunately I knew this couldn't be right, but perhaps future customers would not. For me, two of the most important qualities necessary in a 5* mechanic are trustworthiness and competence. When you tell me a leak is massive when it isn't in order to scare me, there are two possibilities: 1) You genuinely thought the leak was massive when it in fact wasn't, which speaks to a lack of competence, or 2) You knew the leak was not that big a deal but you said it was massive anyway to try to get me to agree to a repair, which speaks to a lack of trustworthiness. On top of that, I'm honestly so weirded out by James's phone call that I want to just give a 1* on the update, but hey, I'm not THAT petty. In any case, Good Neighbor, you don't have to worry about any future reviews because I certainly will not be coming back here, and I will tell all of my friends and family about this experience. If you are reading this and still want to give Good Neighbor a try, I'm not going to try to discourage you - I mean, it's not like they're going to wreck your car or anything - but I would just warn you to be very cautious if they tell you something expensive needs fixing. read more

I can't believe all of the positive reviews. I feel completely mislead and would never recommend this repair shop and will never use them again. They told me I needed a new batter and alternator and overcharged me for both ($1,430). The next week, the car still didn't start again. I had it towed in and they told me again, there was no problem. The car again didn't start this week, had it towed in and now they're telling me I need a new starter for $687. Brought in my truck to check the transmission fluid. Specifically said on the phone AND when I got there all I wanted was that one fluid check. 3 hours later they hand me a list of recommended services totaling $2300 when my truck was $3400. I'm sad to think a lotta people fall for this stuff. Sure, some of the parts are worn out, but are they gonna go before my next oil change? Just got done with my first visit in and the service was 10/10! The communication, friendliness and trustworthiness were all there. I'm skeptical about taking my car in to places because I feel like I always have to fight with the sales guys that try to upsell me, but these guys were up front and honest about what needed to be done, and the cost. I even overheard them talking with other customers about what might be recommended but not needed right now. I also appreciated that they did a free tire rotation and diagnostics with the oil change service. I had called another place for a quote and they were like $35 more than this place. After the purchase I found the exact same tires $40 cheaper EVERYwHERE Event at the tire manufactures site! When I called to ask for an adjustment I was told no they can't do that . I. While waiting I went to the local market for roasted chestnuts, received a text back when it was completed. When I returned to the clean, warm, inviting lobby, I noticed some Popcorn freshly made in their popcorn machine which was next to a fully stocked and clean coffee bar. Wonderful! Told them my problem, they said diagnostics would cost 50-180$. No surprise it was 150$ for the diagnostics reader but they cold not find the problem. They recommended changing out a part and that they needed to do an alignment upping the cost. They didnt say, but they had already done the alignment and were looking to charge me already. They then had me to lock in a prepaid charge on card to make sure i would have them replace the part they recommended but didnt know if it would fix it. Nothing is fixed, they got 600$ out of me and people wonder why mechanics are such scumbags. Go to a certified auto dealership service department. I learned that I needed new brakes and knew that I needed to replace my tires so I was planning on shopping around. Just in time, I received a coupon in the mail for precision s and thought I'd give them a call. When I called I felt so comfortable with the team that I didn't call any other places. Justin helped me out and was so awesome. I was switching from mud tires to a/t and was nervous about the look, drive and performance. He spent plenty of time explaining my options and was super knowledgeable. When I dropped off my car, they had a loaner for me. Nothing special but it got me around and didn't put me in a bind by not having a vehicle. While they had my car they sent a text message with a link to my inspection results. The inspection was comprehensive with photos and videos. The couple extra things recommended made sense and the photos /videos proved they weren't just trying to get more money out of me. Plus I now have a comprehensive inspection with photos on record for the future! My vehicle was ready on time and she looks so good with her new shoes. My car was bought new in a state that does not require license plates (tags) in the front so my car did not have all of the proper equipment needed to affix my tag. I didn't know this was violation of any law or I would have fixed it as soon as I changed states. I have been happy driving with my license plate on my dash until I got a ticket from a parking officer for not having my plate attached to the front of my car. It was a Saturday and I was looking for somewhere open to help me fix this so I could avoid another ticket.
