We stayed he for a few days and really enjoyed the place. The resort offers several amenities which we took advantage of. The grounds were nice as well. After a long day of traveling and visiting several places we were able to go to the swimming pool area and enjoyed a nice swim and some time in the jacuzzi. The warm water was a perfect way to decompress from a long ride and walk. After soaking in the pool we felt refreshed. We also were able to take advantage of the workout room they had. The workout area was not that large but they had enough to get a decent workout while on vacation. The rooms are a little dated but everything was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a room which could easily sleep 6. Two rooms, one with a full size bed, another with 2 twin beds and a sleeper couch where 2 more could sleep in. The room had a full kitchen which was good. We used it to warm up some leftovers and have breakfast in the morning. We also had the option of watching TV in the living room area or in our room. Oh let me not forget we had use of two bathrooms as well. I would have given them 5 stars if not only for the people staying on the second floor who seemed to be having a full court basketball game up there. From like 7:00PM to about midnight it sounded like they were having a scrimmage. Constantly running back and forth without stop. We called the office about 9:00PM and got no answer. Then we called the night security and no one answered as well. If not for that they would have gotten 5 stars.

Overall we liked our stay here, although it was a raining. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with kitchen, living area and deck. The inside of the condo was nice although we did have a problem with ants. When we called the front desk and they sent someone over within the hour. The pool area is awesome. Huge Jacuzzi, kiddie pool, and very large main pool. They also have a bar inside the pool area which is amazing. On the grounds there is a smaller playground which is great for a stop, would definitely go here again.

Pretty much every unit has a leak from either bathrooms or the poorly constructed roof / outlets / sills

Complete tourist trap and buildings that are not up to code. Has that "someone puked here" smell in every building. If you enjoy thin walls between rooms, outdated appliances, over chlorinated pools - then look no further.

Groupon did me wrong!!!!!! Got a lower basement suite. These places are not even close to sound proof. We could hear every step. Even worse, one night unit above turned on their jacuzzi tub at around 1AM....OMG!!!! The entire unit was vibrating! Anyways, it seemed like the block we stayed in was up next for renovations. Hence the Groupon deal// yet Groupon never mentions you will rwceive the resorts worst suite! Guess what, I would never take my family to this dumo again! I will also never buy a Groupon vacation again. In January we had same experience in Florida resort. They basically put you in a room that could not and would not be rented. P.S. I hope you like ants!!!!

The condos are beautiful - 2 bedrooms.the living room has a pull out sofa bed and theres a fireplace. The kitchen is full service too.

I had a great snowboarding getaway to Gunstock Mountain in New Hampshire a couple weeks ago. Got hit with a winter snowstorm giving us almost a foot of snow every 2 days. Lots of snow. Great conditions on the mountain. I stayed at the Summit Resort time share condos. Only 20 minutes away from Gunstock. The place is a little tricky to find - and even more tricky is finding your condo. It was snowing when I got there which made finding this place and my condo even worse. But I was fortunate enough to run into one of the grounds keepers/plow drivers who was super friendly and cool and helped me find my condo. Followed him to the building. I never would've found this on my own lol but like I said he was super helpful and nice which made everything cool. Got into my condo on the lower floor - totally beautiful and spacious! Very cozy and warm. Nice kitchen, fireplace, 2 bedrooms, bath with hot tub, big living area, wifi, cable, nice view and lots of space. As I was unpacking my snowboards and gear and put a pizza in the oven the guests upstairs were back in their condo. I'm a pretty easy going guy but dude....you can hear every footstep, every door slam, every television channel change, and every muffled conversation. This condo has zero insulation or soundproofing between floors!!! And these people weren't trying to be noisy. They were just walking around and doing what you do when you move into your condo for a week. I swear - you could hear everything! EVERYTHING! Ruined the peaceful impression I had when I first settled in. Forget about sleeping in the master bedroom. You could hear there TV in THEIR master bedroom, drawers open and close, the water running upstairs....it was insane. I had to sleep in the little guest room up front to get away from all the noise from upstairs. The guest room was nice, but come on man... Like I said the place is beautiful - the staff is super friendly and very helpful, and the place is close to the mountain. In a quaint town. But if you're looking to read, relax, get work done or actually sleep... forget about staying on the ground floor level condos.

I stayed here at the Opechee Inn (8 years ago) and raved then about my beautiful room! I don't know…read morewhat happened but the management seems to have gone downhill. And why is the hotel found on Yelp as Tranquility Springs because the spa is inside the Opechee Inn, but okay. So tonight, after several different visits to the restaurant and hotel gift shop (since Chaos and Kindness moved downtown--this is the only gift shop within walking distance to us), unfortunately, I am not thrilled with the hotel. Typically, while we wait for O Steaks restaurant to open, we sit quietly in the 'lodge room' or outside of the hotel entrance (under cover) for a few minutes. The restaurant opens at 4pm and since my husband had a stroke three years ago, we have to take our time walking. We have never had an issue, nor are there any signs saying "hotel guests only," so we rest in the lodge room (which is adjacent to the side door to the restaurant inside the hotel)--until today. We are reasonable people. And because I knew we got there even earlier than usual today, I specifically bought something at the gift shop ($15 Christmas gift for a family member), as a gesture of gratitude for being able to sit in the air conditioning in that EMPTY side room. So, here comes some hotel woman in just as we were getting ready to leave the room and enter O Steaks and asked if we were staying at the hotel. I replied no, that we're locals and were just waiting on the restaurant to open. THEN she informed us that they want to save the room for hotel guests! Ugh. Okay. Save the empty room! I was shocked and annoyed. We went to the restaurant immediately. But I will never go back into the Inn again. Believe it.

I found Lake Opechee on Expedia and went for it. The room was really big and nice. Two queen beds for me and me, a refrigerator, TV, seating area, desk, etc. On my first morning I had to be somewhere at 8am so I stopped at their free breakfast. I'm not sure what others are complaining about. There was coffee, tea, muffins, cereal, milk, yogurt, etc. It was fine. The employees I interacted with were all friendly. Cons would be the shower was a bit small, the water pressure was a little low, and my room was on the restaurant side of the building and there was some noise from that as the restaurant gets quite busy. One more thing I would add is the window coverings do not offer to blackout the morning light so plan on not having full darkness. All in all a very nice stay. Not cheap but nice!

You cant do everything in one building but one building does have more amenities than the other... We were in the other building. What does that mean? Its winter break and we are here for the pool area. We had to drive over which means we had to drive back in the cold after being wet. I did not like this. It also meant wearing slides in the snow (cold and super wet toes!) The other building also has the shop, grilled, game area and pin pong tables! What did we have? A smaller pool area with an outdoor hot tub and the hilltop restaurant. I can share, overall we did like the smaller pool better. People were friendlier and it just felt more fun. Also, taking our little guy in the hot tub in the snow was fun! A few things that need improvement: - outdated room decor $300 a night - at check it was not shoveled and there were like 5 inches on the ground - at 10am the stairs to the pond were not shoveled (hours after the snow ended) and the benches for skate zip up is walk down a snow covered small hill into the abyss to the pond. Aka what are you walking on in skates? Is it safe? We have no idea. We ended up tredging down on foot and sitting on the ice to put our skates on. Nice amenity but not well thought out or taken care of - where is the sledding on property? We don't know we just made our own paths down to the pond. - the Hilltop is not worth visiting (check reviews)

Blue Bistro Restaurant…read more My husband and I are celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary this month and we are recreating our honeymoon in New Hampshire. Although we didn't dine at Blue Bistro back then, they came highly recommended. They did not disappoint. We booked the reservation and told them that we were recreating our honeymoon and unbeknownst to us Trishana, our hostess had decorated our table with confetti hearts and "happy anniversary " confetti pieces. She also made a card for us wishing us a happy anniversary. I was in tears. From there our server, Shaven was amazing. He made sure that our experience was special and gave great recommendations for our meal. We want to take our hats off to our bartender Anna whom my husband said she made the best smoked old fashion cocktail he ever had, and that is a pretty good compliment because he enjoys a good old fashion drink. And the night was even more magical when their streaming playlist happen to play "Sailing" by Christopher Cross. That was the song that was playing when my husband told me he loved me over 40 years ago and again on this night. To end the evening one of the severs, Topal, came out with our desert that had sparklers on top and sang a love song to us. Her voice was so angelic. Then Cynthia the owner came over to our table to congratulate us. We were so moved by the experience. I wanted to be sure to thank the full staff and the chef for making this getaway memorable. Patrick's across the street has a great dinner. There's a laundromat and a wine store in that same mall. The suite we stayed in was older but very big with a full kitchen, living room and bedroom which is what I was looking for. The sofa bed was kind of bent out of shape but they have brand new plush mattress toppers. This is like staying in a condo, with a physical metal key. Elaine (I think that was her name) was so nice and I felt like I was visiting her house, she was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast is grab and go; breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fruit cups, instant oatmeal, cereal/milk, muffins, granola bars etc, all prepackaged food. Honestly it was great that they even offered that. There's a convenience store across the street that you can buy food if you have a kitchen if you want to make hot prepared food.
