If you are reading this review for Summit Reading Center, I can only assume you are looking for tutoring for one's child.
If so I urge you not to wait for you local school distract to do an assessment looking for learning differences. Please do not hesitate until your child's teacher reports back serious deficits.
Instead I greatly encourage you, as a parent to advocate for your child as soon as possible to get any academic help they need, even if doing so feels early or preemptive in their schooling.
My now ten year old son has been seeing Nic weekly from the age of four working on what were once a problem area in reading, now moving on to accelerated math and science.
As a dysgraphic adult I remember the lack of support I experienced as a child and wanted better for my son. Nic has been a huge help in providing the direct instruction that my child needed to learn to read and write with confidence, and informed me when he thought my son needed to be further assessed at Boulder Valley Vision Therapy, another resource parents should be aware of.
Nic has a kind, patient presence that children gravitate towards. He instills a sense of confidence much needed in children that have challenges. For these reasons, I highly recommend Summit Reading Center to all parents who feel their child is in need of academic support, as well as those who would benefit from advanced subject matter.
Although one may not look forward to the added expense a tutor will incur, it is without a doubt that parents will spend more money getting their child back on track the longer they wait to intervene. Your local public school is not going to do so in a timely matter. Instead I could encourage families to contact Summit Reading Center before their child falls further and further behind. read more
