Even though I work for this hospital, so I enjoy going around to other branches to see if the world class is consistent. I had to stay for a week in the hospital, they calmed me and took care of my pain and kept me informed of everything that was happening and going to happen. The floor I was on it was full, but when I tell you they treated me like I was the only person on the floor. I can't say enough good things regarding the staff from a reasonable wait time in the ER (about an hour), to my discharge. EXCELLENT SERVICE

My 17 month old daughter came in with a forehead wound that required stitches. The bleeding was…read morecontrolled and we waited for over an hour to actually receive stitches. The doctor told us they were not going to use the needle numbing medicine because it would cause more pain/fear for our daughter, we agreed to this. However no other numbing, pain or calming medicine was offered to our daughter. So once the stitches began she was wrapped in a blanket and held down on the bed while a very shaky handed doctor did he stitches.. She scream bloody murder the whole time and it was the worst thing I have had to watch as a mother. After speaking with her pediatrician and other ER doctors around I have learned this is not standard to not have some sort of pain or numbing medicine given to her prior especially her being so young and it being on her face. The doctor who did her stitches is named Matthew Rump, he was friendly to us and even said it would be difficult to give his own young son stitches and then proceeded to not give our daughter anything to make this already hard experience any easier. I would avoid this ER for anything related to this and avoid that doctor for stitches 10000%.

Incredibly, the $445 bill is nearly double what Piedmont Hospital in Cartersville charges. My appointment consisted of a weight and blood pressure check and I informed them of my medications. After calling Dr, office I was told you have to call the Imagining Dept. After waiting on hold 10 minutes, I was told the Doctor has to schedule it (because I canceled a 2025 appointment). Why would this rule help to "SERVE" the patient (who is the customer)???
