Usually my visits to Summit Primary Care and my primary caregiver there have been absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, their computers have been "down" for almost 2 weeks now. It's impossible to get a call through to either make an appointment or speak to someone because no one answers the phone. Our patient portals don't work because their system is "down". Not a very secure feeling when one is in need of attention or interaction from our primary care people. Very scary. read more

I had a very disappointing experience as a new patient with Dr. Bridget Middleton. My appointment was scheduled for 9:05 AM, and I arrived at 9:03 AM and had to wait in line to sign in. After checking in, I completed all required forms, only to be told that Dr. Middleton refused to see me and wanted me rescheduled because I had not arrived 30 minutes early prior to my appointment. This was not clearly communicated to me as a strict requirement. To add to that, my original appointment in February had been rescheduled last minute (1hr prior to my appointment time) due to the provider calling out, which I accommodated with flexibility. Given that, I was looking forward to finally being seen. While I understand the importance of intake procedures, turning away a patient who arrived on time and completed all required documentation felt unreasonable and not patient centered more like an inconvenience. I do want to acknowledge that Jodie at the front desk was extremely kind and did her best to assist me she was the highlight of the experience. However, based on these experiences, I didn't feel comfortable establishing care with this practice. read more

Amanda Fallos is a "square business PCP. I am blessed to have found her while I am battling a botched transplant. She is kind and extremely knowledgeable and follows through on everything you need post haste. She shows a genuine interest in her patients and listens to their concerns. I have never had a PCP as good as her in all of my life. She is a credit to the medical community and Summit Primary care. She bends over backwards to get her patients the help that they need. I wish to acknowledge Amanda Fallos and her staff for being there when their patients need them and doing what all she can to attend to their needs. We need more PCPs like her. We had sone tests done, it took over 6 months to get results. We paid our bill, a month later they sent another bill for $300. No one can tell me why??? Billing department doesn't answer the phone... I do not recommend. read more

I went in to a scheduled appointment on 05/31/2024 and the women at the front desk was EXTREMELY Rude to me and very much disrespected me when I expressed how say my insurance which is Curative not Cumuliative and she gasps "EXCUSE ME YOUR RUDE". I have been a patient here for MANY YEARS and have never been so shocked by this that they would actually have someone who treats others with such disrespect that they dismissed me from the practice without even asking what happened. Avoid this place if you are not feeling well. The process of getting an appointment is a nightmare. Most of the time you have to leave a message. My daughter had an appointment cancelled by her physician who had COVID. Then for the reschedule, my daughter had COVID and she called two days prior to the appointment and left a message that she could not make it (because typically no one answers the phone). When she called back to reschedule a week or so later, she was told that she had done a "no show" for two appointments and could no longer be seen at this clinic. When trying to call back to speak to the office manager, again, had to leave a voice mail. No one has returned the call. This is not a caring clinic that is concerned about patients. It has caused lots of stress and anxiety. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. read more

I just found out that they are no longer taking my type of insurance while scheduling this months appointment for my medication they have had me on for the past 5 years. It could be life threatening to stop taking cold turkey. I was never informed of this change durning my last appointment last month. Now they won't help me and act like it's my fault. I have been there a few times now and I am not pleased. I feel like they do not listen to you or ask you questions about your health. Dr. Milligan is not someone I would ever go back to again. He never asks you about your health, eating habits, etc and what's going on. I'm thoroughly disappointed bc I went from ppl raving about this place on Facebook. The visits are like 10 mins and that's not enough time to get to know what's going on with you and to diagnose you properly. He also acts like a know-it-all type of doctor and kinda rude. Doctor Pak and his office staff don't seem to have any idea of how to run a medical practice. From telling my fiancé to go off of a SSRI cold turkey to mandating a paid visit to just refill a prescription, it is an absolute mess. An appointment was made and they filled out a reminder card for him for an upcoming Friday, only to find out they scheduled it for a Monday in their system and gave him the wrong day. He called asking to speak with his doctor briefly, yet never received a call back. His nurse was condescending and would not help at all. It seems they are mire interested in making a quick buck off their patients rather than actually concern themselves with the health of the patients. Incredibly disappointed! The most unprofessional so called medical facility I have ever encountered. Had an appointment at 11:25am, was told Dr Milligan gives a 10 minute grace period. However, I admit I was six minutes late, and was told by the front desk person that Dr Milligan left at 11:30am because he had an important meeting to get to. I'm like really, what about the 10 minute grace period, "he usually does give 10 minutes, but he had a meeting to get to, you can always reschedule for tomorrow". My response was ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! My issue is, if he only waited five minutes and had a meeting to go to, how was he gonna be able to see me for my visit anyway, it takes a minimun of six minutes to get checked in to provide proof of insurance and pay your copay. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are inconsiderate and unprofessional and with that, I wouldn't trust them with my medical health. read more

The doctors are hit or miss, but the front desk staff is appalling. They discussed my private health info in the front desk area in front of a number of waiting patients. They refused to fax my records to my specialists--even though they were the ones who REFERRED me to the specialist. The front desk staff talks about other patients after they leave, complains about their job, bullies patients about payment... This is the most unprofessional doctor's office I have EVER been to. read more

I have always loved seeing Dr. Major. I was 14 minutes late for my appointment. I was not greeted at all at the front desk upon arriving. I actually had to announce my name and who I was there to see. After I wrote my name down on the pad and sat down the front desk gal said. "Did you know your appointment was at 3:10?" in the most condescending tone as if I was a kid in the principal's office rather than a paying customer. It was 3:24pm. I said yes I did traffic was bad getting across town. She then said there was only a 10 minute grace period and they could only get me in after the last patient of the day. I am a reasonable person and understand the intent behind a grace period and guidelines...but her condescending delivery and tone were rude. I've rarely been seen immediately at Summit Primary care after check in. A nurse has always checked me in and then I sit in the doctor office waiting for the doctor. I had to inquire about their walk in policy and see if another doctor was avail to see me since my issue was minor. There was another doctor avail and I was able to get my appt done. It costs me a couple hundred dollars for a Dr. Appt. What has happened to customer service? The lack of greeting, her condescending talk and overall way she made me feel is enough to make me want to switch practices. Considerable difference in the new front desk staff, or who happens to be on staff when I call and come in. Courteous, friendly and helpful. As I mentioned previously we have been coming here for many years, we love our Doctor but also the RNPs and nurses. Typically easy to get an appointment within a very reasonable timeframe and at a time that is most convenient. My wife and I have been very pleased with Dr. Pak and his office staff. We have scheduled appointments whenever we needed medical assistance. The wait time has been very acceptable. Dr. Pak takes adequate time to discuss any health care issues we have. He always asks if we have any additional questions before we leave his office. I have been to Summit multiple times over the past 5 years and can say with objectivity that I have never had a fully pleasant experience there. The second to last time, I went in to see Amanda Fallos (the PA), upon arriving I began to sign in and the grouch at the front desk barked at me that I should be signing in upstairs. Not off to a great start. The nurse called my name, took me to the back, and settled me in a room. Once we discussed the issues I was coming in for, she sent me to the lab with paper work in hand... without telling me where the lab was or what to do once I got there. I finally find the lab, and sit, holding my paper work, and after 5 minutes sitting in the waiting area, a nurse walked out and grabbed my papers. After an unpleasant experience in the lab, I saw the PA who told me she doesn't diagnose what I came in for and berated me about why I was just now coming in for a long-term health condition, because "I thought my experience was normal until now" wasn't a good enough answer apparently. I left in tears. Should have learned my lesson that time. I went again months later for a routine physical, opting to see someone other than Amanda Fallos, and Dr. Scott Major was the only one available. Dr. Major first decided to list out the reasons I should change what I plan on getting my Master's degree in. I tried to change the subject multiple times but he kept telling me what he thought although I never asked. He then asked why I was having sex if I wasn't on birth control. WHOA. That's not any of your business. Again, tried to change the subject. He wouldn't let it go. I explained I wasn't sexually active. Still wouldn't let it go. Finally I explained that I wanted a STI screening because I was sexually assaulted. That's when he finally realized he should mind his own damn business and stop being a complete dick. He apologized and I again left in tears. Why the hell are these physicians in medicine if they don't want to help people? I don't understand how you can so acutely lack empathy or even basic communication skills and exist in this profession. Maybe if you see someone other than Dr. Major and Amanda Fallos, you'll be good to go, otherwise I would recommend avoiding the place at all costs. I have new doctors in Nashville and Mount Juliet now and couldn't be happier. I'm glad that after years of thinking that all doctors were assholes, I finally found a medical team who is kind. read more

My first review ever: The staff is ill prepared and make sure you know that you are an incubance and not a patient. Judy likes to lecture you without taking the time to even know what your problem is or who you even are. The medical assistants, Lynette in particular, will argue about a request for a fax of lab work as that isn't her job and takes offense to being asked. I hesitate when I call Tamera Broadhead a doctor. She doesn't care about you as a person and recommends the worst doctors when she doesn't know (which is more often then not). Tamara wouldn't even explain my lab results on my second visit because she said I wouldn't understand, but I was charged as if she did. DO NOT go here unless you have the most basic flu or cold. It's an unhealthy environment and if you already don't feel good they can make you feel worse, which almost seems like their goal. Bottom line at this office is that the employees will do the least amount of work for the most pay. Good luck if you make an appointment. read more

The doctors at Summit Primary Care have been helping me since I moved to Nashville over a decade ago. Even now, while I live in East Nashville, I still make a trip out to Hermitage whenever I have any medical-related needs. One of the things I like about Summit Primary Care is their online patient portal. I can always access my treatment records, past visits and medical history, which makes it easy for filling out life insurance docs or similar items. My primary care physician (Dr. Hamby) is always friendly and great, but I often use the walk-in clinic or make an appointment with Dr. Pak for the everyday, run-of-the-mill maladies. I have yet to have a bad experience here, and the added benefit of the on-site pharmacy eliminates the usual follow-up trip to Walgreen's (or whatever pharmacy is closest). read more

Severe lack of professionalism at the front desk. The administrative lady at front desk said that she "did not have access to the internet" when I needed to get the 1-800 # for my insurance {?}- she instructed me to use my phone!? {turn around and there is a sign that they have "free wifi"!} Then after filing the appropriate paperwork, she called me to the desk and told me it would be $150 upfront. I told her that I did not have that much - that I could pay only a portion now, she curtly said "Do you want to speak to my manager?" and she proceeded to call the manager. Then as the manager "lady" approached- the administrative lady told the manager that she "didn't have the time" to instruct me about the "ePayment" method- WHICH WAS NEVER MENTIONED AT ALL when I said I could only pay a "portion"! Then the manager was very rude because the admin was acting as if I was being the "rude patient" but the admin lied in front of her "manager" and told me that I "did not give her time" to explain the method of payment {great acting job by the way- body inflections were "flailing" and passive when manager approached}. She did not explain the "method" at all- just flatly said no- that she needed payment upfront. The manager acted immediately on the administrative's word and started "preaching" to me that "any facility" follows this same procedure, then recommended that I should go to the Emergency Room- because they cannot refuse treatment. Do not go to this facility- it is a horrible misrepresentation of healthcare. What neither of these ladies did not know is that I worked in healthcare for years and it is unlawful to refuse treatment for any reason {even with a facility}. Never go to the emergency room {unless you ABSOLUTELY have to} or you could be paying thousands for a minor health issue. I could have forced the issue but elected to find a more ethical, professional practice minutes later- I would not want this staff handling my money when they lied immediately to me in the first place. read more

I could not see my regular Doctor so I had to make an appointment with Dr. Pak. This so call Physician is very rude and un-empathy towards patients or maybe just me. I Told him what was going on and he started shrugging his shoulders and had a smug look on his face stating "what do you want me to do you tell me. I could run 100's of test and you are self-pay so you tell me what to do." He likes to shrug his shoulders and is very condescending . I left without any help from this man. I tell people I paid ninety dollars to be insulted. Would not take my dog to this man. read more

I would not recommend this office. I have tried out multiple doctors here and none of them cared to take time and answer my questions. When I tried to ask questions through their patient portal, they told me they couldn't help me. I am a first time mom. When they told me I was pregnant, the doctor didn't even want to stick around for the questions I had. He kept running out of the room while I was trying to ask question and the nurse had to keep going to get him. I was in the back office for maybe 10 minutes not including my pregnancy test. Also, the lab techs have always been rude. I have never had such horrible medical service. If you do use their services, make sure not to ask for a doctor or nurse to call you because they won't. read more

OK, so first review ever of anything. I can see that the "greet" staff aren't all giggles and smiles, but, having personally been on a switchboard without the added pressure of walk-ups also, I can forgive a little better here - people . . . take a breath and slow down just a little. You have to recognize your own personal tension is not isolated from everyone else's tension. (multiplication is a mathematical concept, but applies here just the same) I saw Dr. Gist - no problems there. I may simply refuse to see an alternative physician unless I'm in a medically critical state (it's at the worst $60 to "cancel" a visit with less than 24 hours notice - I'm worth $60 of anyone's money). Lastly, other reviewers panned this office for not "calling back" or being critical of clients for being at the "wrong desk." All I can say here is READ. As you walk in you are directed by signage to the proper "desk" for your physician. When you fill out your paperwork it clearly states that if you enter an Email you WILL NOT be called. This may be in response to previous reviews, but it's there now, so going forward criticism of this practice should be solely on the party who fails to read his/her paperwork - slow down and enjoy life, even at the Dr's office read more

Until now I have been a patient there for over 10 years and they have went so down hill. I started with Pak who is actually the best of the group. Was then switched to a man named Frankenfield because of scheduling conflicts who wanted to give me adderol for a diet pill. I later found out he was fired for dating his nursing staff. Dr. Fallos was OK but Dr. Major was horrible. He would spend a full 30 seconds in the room with me, send me to have lab which he never explained. I was told to go to the online portal. (Like i know what those numbers mean) I paid a $75 copay to see him and he never answered any follow up questions or anything. Horrible physician and morals for a $75 30 second visit. Very fake person. They have also started asking for a credit card to keep on file so they can charge you for anything 'missed' during a visit without you knowing. That is NOT ok with me.
