Checked into this office online with a quick registration, was texted shortly thereafter that they were ready for me, and drove in. Got there, paid my $20 copay, and 15 mins later was called into the back for vitals and to be moved to the room, where I waited maybe another 10 mins. Not bad at all. Nurse practitioner was kind, jovial - great bedside manner. She diagnosed the issue, stepped out briefly and returned with my Rx. In the end, I was in and out in a little over a half-hour - no fuss, no muss. read more

Word of advise. If you've already home tested for COVID, don't go here for a confirmation test or see a doctor. Insurance won't cover another test and they wouldn't see you. This is the second CareNow location I have gone to today for a sore throat. The first one, although it looked extremely empty with only two people on the waiting room was not accepting any more walkins even though they were open for two more hours. OK, I don't know what's going on they must be busy. So, I called the next one at 5 PM. I asked the lady are you accepting walk-ins today? "yes we are". Great, I say I have to get gas and I will be over there probably in 30 minutes. I am there at 5:28 PM. I told the person at the front desk that I spoke to the woman and he has me fill out paperwork. I'm sitting in the waiting room waiting for my turn. Then he says, you need to go back out to your car and we will do the best we can. I say I don't really know what that means but, OK, I'll go to my car. So now I'm waiting in my car. 10 minutes later he comes out and says the woman you spoke to doesn't do the scheduling and we're not taking walk-ins. We'll do the best we can but we can't promise you you'll be seen today. Now mind you, this is 35 minutes after I've been there. I was talking to the same dude the entire time and he does not tell me until 6:05 PM. What kind of idiots are running this place? If she doesn't know the schedule why do you have her answering the phone? Why don't you have her double check to make sure she gives out the proper information in the first place? Ridiculously bad customer service and the guy seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder the entire time. read more

I was denied a covid test after scheduling one online because it had been 4 days and not 5-7 since I was exposed to a known case. I'm showing symptoms and omicron has unknowns that could be developing faster. This type of treatment is dangerous to our community. read more

There's only been one time we've been there that we had a good doctor and she was awesome and every time since then nobody's there but I have to wait three hours today for example and still couldn't tell me what was wrong with. My experience here at CareNow was one of the best I've had at an urgent care center. I moved here recently and got sick with I thought was a cold. I felt miserable and it wasn't getting better. I decided to make a stop in at CareNow to see if I was dealing with something worse. I got signed in and seen by the nurse practitioner in under and hour. Turns out I had a nasty sinus infection and needed some much needed antibiotics. They prescribed me some meds and literally by the next day I felt WAY better. A night and day difference! Walk-In Clinics are always hit or miss. Are you gonna be there in and out, or sit there for 2 hours? CareNow in Donelson not only seems to have the system down to get you in and out, but they do it in a friendly and professional manner. My wife got sick recently, and rather than going to another CareNow spot we've gone to before, we decided to give this one a try since it was close to the house. Since she was feeling bad, I didn't want her to have to sit in a lobby feeling miserable for a while, so I did the online check-in on their web-site. It's simple, and an amazing time saver. Input your information, tell them when you want to come in and how far away you live, and they'll call you when they can get you in. IT'S THAT EASY. We drove over, were greeted with a smile, and went through the same routine of new patient paperwork and insurance, which was still very simple compared to other places. Almost at the exact moment we were finished with the paperwork, they called my wife back and were already ready for her. The nurses and doctors were extremely friendly and legitimately seemed to care rather than wanting to just get her in and out as soon as possible. They prescribed her medication, which was easy to pick up with the Publix Pharmacy being right behind them, in almost the same parking lot. Not 100% sure how much it is to walk in here without insurance, but our co-pay made it virtually nothing, and we're very thankful that they work with our insurance company. If either of us are feeling under the weather again and don't need emergency care, this will be the first place we stop! read more

I've gone to CareNow Donelson several times just this year for care. The PA, Brian and his staff are incredible. I always felt like I was I in great hands. Brian's bedside manner and knowledge of medicine is so comforting. He goes over everything slowly and is incredibly knowledgeable, and he actually has a personality! His nurses have always been kindhearted and gentle when I needed a shot. There's a closer CareNow locates to my house but I chose CareNow Donelson because the staff has earned my trust and respect. I've never been there for more than an hour and the care and treatment they provide is top notch. I highly recommend for any of your urgent care needs you check out the folks at the Donelson location. read more

So it is advised that you go to their website for web checkin. They contact you via text with a time and you still have to wait once you arrive. I'm not sure why this process is not efficient. They have been turning people away as walkins, but I'm still sitting here for an 11:30 appointment and it is 12:05p. Another patient had an 11:00 and she is still waiting as well. WTH!! read more

People arriving at the clinic for non covid reasons should be given a specific place to sit. Sick people should wait in their cars, or even let the healthy people wait in their cars, but I am EXTREMELY upset that I was not aware that the lady sitting right next to me was symptomatic, while I was there to take a drug test for a new job. If I do become symptomatic and get covid, I will not be able to start my new job and I will have ONLY Care Now to blame. read more

The doctor I saw during my troubles with the stomach flu was Ms. Lockridge. She was very professional, kind, and thorough when it came to my symptoms, what we could do to take care of my diagnosis , and even made sure I was checked up on a day later. The front desk person was also very nice to me, I do not know his name however he was a black male and made my experience enjoyable when I was otherwise having a hard time. I would rather have this place be my doctors office permanently, as I felt like this place cares more than my primary physician! Thanks for the help and experience! read more

My wife and I came to this location for an x-ray. The gentleman at the front desk while initially robotic and not particularly friendly was not unpleasant. After filling out information we asked that the movie on the screen which was loud and violent be turned down or off. The only other patients were a child of about 3 to 4 years old with a parent. It seemed a reasonable request and the gentleman at the desk who didn't appear to be busy with anything other than processing our forms which we had fully filled out said he would get to it. We waited a few more minutes with him doing nothing and I looked for a switch to turn the television off. He became agitated and said leave the set alone and you can move to the other side. The other side had a screen with the same movie playing. When I asked if he could turn that off he essentially flipped it on me and said you need to calm down at which point I said I haven't raised my voice and I have asked very reasonable questions. We were deciding whether to stay or not when I asked if there was actually a physician on site to see us as sometimes I've waited at urgent care until the doctor showed up. He offered no apology and nothing but very unpleasant attitude indicating that we were the problem and that we basically could either have a refund or be quiet and comply with whatever they asked. It was a very strange situation to have him escalate it in that way. That's not customer service, that's not reasonable social skills, that's stunningly manipulative and controlling behavior. I would highly encourage you to find another urgent care location as this one is likely to be incredibly frustrating at best. read more

Going to get a physical for school, something very simple. Patient support staff up front didnt ask for me date of birth, last name, or insurance until I was in the back being examined. Doctor was unprofessional and uninformative. Patient support staff did NOT contact me to receive my results. Went back to get TB shot checked two days later, they wrote down the wrong arm and the woman called me a LIAR! Overall upset with the respect and professionalism shown at this facility, Will not ever go back, and will not EVER recommend to friends or family. read more

I've had more problems with re-infections, billing issues, and poor customer service since this place became CareNow (HCA). More than once they've tried to charge me extra for follow-up visits. Calling their billing line is an ordeal in and of itself. It takes forever for anyone to answer. I only go here because it's the most convenient place when I'm in pain. I probably won't return in the future. I don't recommend it to anyone. Stay away! Update 2/23/18: When I went for follow-up visits, the people at this facility told me there wouldn't be extra charges. That turned out not to be true. They had me return several times and sent me a $200 bill six months after service. I spoke to them and my insurance company. They did take off $150 after I challenged it. I paid the remaining $50 because it wasn't worth the fight. Their billing policies are inconsistent at best. They want your money. That's all. This experience ensures that I'll never return to this place. read more

Took a tumble off a bicycle while I was visiting home. My family saw how I couldn't use my right hand and pretty much forced me to seek medical attention. Came here and was seen promptly. After a few x-rays, I was diagnosed with a wrist sprain (ouch) and given a wrist brace. The care and attention I received from the staff was efficient and thorough. I would go back if needed, but hopefully I won't ever need to go back. read more

Best doctor ever! I went in with a bad ear infection and hurt shoulder. Brian took his time and listened to my concerns, diagnosed me, and got me some antibiotics that made me feel better in 24 hours. They do X-rays there too so I was able to get my shoulder and elbow examined. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. It was a nice change to have a doctor ask if I had any questions before I left. I even got a follow up call to see how I was doing the next day. If you have to go to the doctor, go to Care Now! You will be glad you did! read more

This healthcare facility is clean and easy to get to, and seems to have friendly enough staff. But the issue is that I don't go to the doctor when I am feeling chatty, I go when I am not feeling well. This location had a doctor that didn't seem to want to take my pervious experience with my own body seriously. He seemed to write off my opinions, which led him to prescribe a medication that didn't actually help me get rid of the sinus infection that I came in to treat. This was not the only time I had the issue either. I went back 8 days into a 10 day prescription to let him know that I wasn't getting any better and to voice my concerns about the previous doctor not listening to my previous experiences at all. This time all I got was a suggestion that I get more rest and if I was really concerned they would give me a steroid shot. So, not only did I have to pay the $50 copay twice, but neither doctor listened to my concerns that they might have the wrong treatment plan in mine. Again, the story does not end there. I waited out my prescription and then some, but this time I was determined to have a plan. I called in advance to try and set up an appointment, and voice my concerns again to anyone willing to listen. Can you guess what happened? I bet not, I was put on hold for 15 minutes, and then told someone would call me back shortly. Four hours later I receive a call concerning setting up an appointment that day. I was told that the location did not actually have a doctor on sight for that day and I would have to schedule an appointment for another time. Please, someone, what good is a healthcare facility without a doctor on the premises? If I were to walk in that day, what would they do. Have the receptionist guess at what was wrong with me? Over all this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any medical professional ever. P.S. the kicker after all of that is that not only have I not tackled my sinus infection, but because of going un treated for two weeks it has also developed into an upper respiratory infection as well. read more

Took my 4 year old in shortly after they opened on a Sunday, he had a little respiratory distress and fever. He couldn't wait for Monday doctor's office hours but I didn't want to go to the hospital ER. They saw him (wait with 6 people ahead of me was about 1.25 hours, which to me is normal, especially when a lot of illnesses are going around out there), were very nice and thorough, he even got a chest x-ray there as well as flu test, strep test and a pneumonia test. My son vomited in the office, too, and they were nice about that (to me, they have to expect that sometimes :) ). My own pediatrician, in follow-up, wasn't in agreement with this doctor's prescription length - turns out this clinic's physician's research and practice may be more up-to-date ;) . And the follow-up with my own doctor was this doctor's advice. The office and waiting area are clean and simple. If you're bringing kids I suggest bringing something to occupy them. Web check-in was simple and easy and secures your place in line, but I still had to check in at the front desk when I got there and fill out 2 more papers. You can check in online from home and they will call you when it's time for you to head to the clinic. That clinic has a grocery store and a few restaurants right in the parking lot and a block or two away from other places. They got my prescriptions to the pharmacy immediately. I would go again if I needed this kind of care. Its services provided go slightly beyond the pharmacy "mini clinics" because they have an x-ray and maybe a few more services. Because my son had a respiratory issue and he is a child, and TriStar has a children's hospital, I chose this place off of what I Googled on the internet, and, they opened 2 hours before Vanderbilt Children's Urgent Care clinic opened :) read more

I've been going to this clinic since it was Carespot. Ever since they were bought out, I've had nothing but trouble with the office staff and billing office. The office staff either has no idea how insurance works or is purposely charging people triple your copay saying that you need to meet the deductible. I fell for that scam a few times waiting months to get my refund. Today I took a chance going back to this clinic cause its close to home and I feel terrible. I had to argue with the receptionist about the copay and ended up walking out. Urgent care clinics are a dime a dozen, I suggest going elsewhere. read more
