I had a hip replacement and have had problems with my follow up appointments ... i can honestly say its been my fault. I went to the surgery center instead of my Doctor office and missed my appointment. I received several text asking me to schedule a follow up appointment while i was on vacation and took to long to get an appointment... now my appointment needs to be resubmitted to the insurance company . Everyone is super nice and have no complaints... Just dont seem to be doing a good job communicating with these awesome people.. My hips been clicking and burning when i walk so i hope someone can help me. read more

The staff here are amazing and really hype eachother up. You can tell everyone loves working there! My only complaint is with billing. I met my out of pocket maximum in September 2024 and this office keeps demanding I pay a copay for my last few visits. I've called my insurance who confirmed I have reached my out of pocket maximum. I have submitted proof from my insurance and they still say "well our system says you haven't reached that so.." I've gone in person, I've talked on the phone, sent emails and many secure messages through the portal with proof I don't owe and they are still claiming I owe. I see a lot of doctors and take a lot of meds. None of my other doctors or pharmacy are "seeing that I owe". It's starting to get really frustrating. read more

My wife needed an appointment for an evaluation for her fractured knee cap. Our doctor sent a referral to Summit. I phoned them and heard the recording saying to wait 3 days for the referral to process. I called again after the 3rd day and was sent to their voicemail. No one returned my call. I called again (4th day) and once again was sent to voicemail. When I finally got through and talk to a life person (on the 5th work day, 7th calendar day) I was told that they do not treat fractures! The biggest issue I have with that was why did it take them 5 days to tell us that they won't see my wife? We could had begun to look for another surgeon much sooner. The next issue I had with them was on their webpage they state "No treatment is too big or too small". So someone isn't telling the truth! Don't believe everything you read. I feel sorry for believing in them. I just wanted to put the words out so no one else will fall in the same trap. read more

I have been a client of this office since this time last year. Had a great experience with Dr Sasaura, I had a total hip replacement in November (5 stars!). My interactions today were far from the great service previously received. For well over a decade, I have been receiving hylauronic acid injections in my knee for pain relief. None of my prior practitioners have required annual xrays. My last injection was November, 2023 at this office. The Issue My insurance is not accepted at this office any longer, so I am self pay as it is a continuity of care choice by me. The PA Estephania Velasco, provided me the first of the three injections last week, and upon my return from holiday today, I was informed by her that if I did not get an x-ray, my future appointments (one of which was today) would be cancelled. I have already paid several hundred dollars for the pharmaceuticals and as mentioned, not needed x-rays for this service from other providers. Not to mention the time it takes to get these appointments. I was denied care today because of an x-ray that has absolutely no bearing on my knee injections. From a clinical perspective, I can understand the need for an x-ray when warranted for new or worsening sympotms, that however is not my case. Soap Box moment....This is why healthcare is so incredibly expensive, needless test, and in this case, with no logical reason. Saying that the office requires annual x-rays is not a reason to drive up the fees and to expose me to more x-rays. I had several x-rays for my hip at this office pre and post op. While the impact is only to me (the office is not impacted), and it is a significant hassle, I will be finding another provider for my orthopedic needs. I will simply not accept being bullied into getting tests that are not needed. If there was a clinical or safety reason for this approach by the office, I would be inclined to support the request, however, in this healthcare environment, in which I have worked for 30 years, this is simply inappropriate to pressure patients into getting tests that are not needed and provide no clinical value.. Patients have a say in the care we receive, please don't ever think your wants and needs are less important than a practitioners, push back, advocate for yourself and find a place that you are valued and respected. read more

I am happy when I am able to see Dr. Green, but I have a had time getting appointments with him over the past few months. The person scheduling appointments repeatedly tries to get me to agree to setting up an appointment with Dr. Cameto for some reason. I definitely only want to be seen by Dr. Green not someone else, and it is frustrating that they make it difficult to do so. The last time I called for an appointment the person answering the phone was very unprofessional and spoke to me as if she were admonishing a child. During my very first visit, Dr. Sasaura, who came highly recommended to me by my physical therapist at Faqua, was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable about my condition with my knees. The Physician's Assistant, Estephania Velasco, is unrushed, efficient, and takes time to answers all of my questions. The x-ray tech, Medical Assistant, and the receptionist are all friendly and good at what they do. I'm looking at surgery on my left knee (meniscal tear repair with Dr. Greene) and possible revision surgery on my artificial right knee (not originally done here) with Dr. Sasaura, although they are checking on other things first before rushing to do surgery. Well have to say, one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered, I have had 27 major surgeries, my knee that I had replaced 17 yrs ago, keep popping out of socket, tho the X rays said it was ok, and MRI said nothing was wrong, and that is all he went by, even tho I can not walk or put pressure on my leg, I had to see another ortho Doctor who did a CT scan, an said lets scope it an see what is going on, major problems with the knee replacement, I would not take my dog to these people, they just don't care !!! an should not be working in that field, yes I am angry. do yourself a favor an do not go to summit ortho for anything. read more

I had end-stage osteoarthritis in both hips, with a diagnosis of 2 full hip replacements (THA). I could not have been more pleased with the entire outcome: Pre-op for the first hip: - Staff did all the work and basically gave me the time and location to show up- went off without a hitch - Staff is highly available via phone or portal - Staff is professional, courteous and service oriented Surgery: I was put under for my first THA 3 months ago, and woke up post surgery in heated blankets in the recovery room, with a nurse/PA checking on me every few minutes. Was given juice and a sandwich and one the grogginess was gone, walked about 150 feet with a walker, and went up/down 3 stairs, and was cleared to recover at home in my own bed Post surgery: went to physical therapy a couple of days later, and my PT said that they see a lot of Dr Sasaura's patients and they all seem to be in incredible shape and have fast recovery times Post surgery: I had 2 post surgery meetings, the first was with a PA about 7 days after surgery, the bandages were removed I was cleared to drive and cleared to graduate to a cane vs a walker I am now less than 24 hours post surgery for my second hip. I have had ZERO pain after both surgeries. I have not need any of the prescribed morphine- just a couple of Advil. Note that I opted for the software/robotics alignment after doing research, and second to a very skilled surgeon like Sasaura would highly recommend this option. (My I insurance did not cover so it was out of pocket to me, but still recommend it. Payment options were available to me) So 2 hips later, I have had zero pain, in fact both hips felt better the day after surgery than they did the day prior to surgery. I can not say enough about the entire experience from the first meeting to the second surgery and highly recommend this skilled team! read more

My little sister has seen at least 4 orthopedic doctors for her ankle. She has had two surgeries with Dr. Gavin Ripp. And no success from those surgeries. She had another surgery out of the country with also little success. When coming back to Dr. Gavin Ripp after the third surgery, he told my 18-year-old sister that she needed to have an ankle fusion. We sought multiple opinions, including Dr. Greene where he told my sister, she did not need to have an ankle fusion that conservative treatment options would be a better option due to her age and that we need to remove the hardware in the heel and ankle that was put in by Dr. Gavin Ripp. Overall it was a great experience at this office. My sister is looking forward to her surgery. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Greene's going back to early 2010's. I was less impressed with the practice as a whole back then, but went back because I believed his skill as a surgeon outweighed the other parts at the end of the day. This new practice seems to have a better overall structure and setup. Everyone I interacted with from the office to the outpatient surgery center was 100% invested and friendly...not something I felt I could say previously. And Dr. Greene's skills as a surgeon and his ability to get me back on my feet are still top notch. He met with me and my wife post-surgery and for the first follow-up, something he did not do the first time. Without hesitation, I will continue to ask my PCP for his care if I should ever need it again. read more

3 years ago, Sasaura replaced my left knee with some clickety, clunky contraption. I saw him a year later to demonstrate my uncoordinated, uncomfortable gait, hyperextending then buckling. He seemed annoyed and said "Come on, it's not like it's a real knee". He then shuffled me off to some other PT. I like my other "bone on bone" knee much better 98% of the time. read more

I absolutely cannot believe this place has 3 and a half stars! THEY ARE PHENOMENAL!! I'm retired HR and I know excellence when I hear it and see it. They have been overwhelmingly professional, thorough and kind. They inform you of each and every step before, during and after surgery. They did a knee replacement on my husband on December 6th and have continued to take care of him since. You need something? They're on it. You want to ask a million questions? They'll answer with grace. If you have an issue with absolutely anything? They help almost immediately and that's unheard of these days. Please take note on why this company (not a helping service) get low ratings from so many people. Let me clarify... The staff gets three stars. The assigned orthopedic doctor: Dr. Robert Cameto gets zero stars. On October 6th, 2022, I met Mr. Cameto. I say Mr. because he does not deserve the title doctor. On the first appointment, he evaluated my arm as having elbow bursitis. He told me that I needed to have surgery and also to have a PM&R doctor for rehabilitation. He also recommended to use an arm splint which he can write a prescription. He said that he will get to work on it. The appointment was less than 10 minutes. A month goes by and I never got a prescription and when I called a few times, all I got was "he said that he's working on it." I make an appointment to I see him on December 6th, 2022. Mr. Cameto told me that he was unsuccessful in finding a PM&R doctor and reiterated that I needed to have surgery. That's okay, but I asked that while I'm there if he can drain the fluid from my elbow (which other doctors have done in the past). He said "no." I asked if he can at least do a blood test to check for infections. He said "no." Confused, I asked if he will be the one doing the surgery. He said "no, he semi-retired and doesn't do surgeries anymore." So no antibiotics and no nothing! It's as if he wanted my arm to get worse so that I needed surgery. I told him that I will find somebody else. They pretty much gave me a retired doctor who wants to make a few hundred dollars a day doing nothing! When I went to the front counter to request an appointment with the doctor who will be doing the surgery, the staff told me that he doesn't see the patients until pre or post-surgery. What?! I couldn't even get a second opinion from the very person who will operate my arm. So I will find another office with doctors who care. This office is obviously a business! A quick and a very important note: I called my insurance company the next day and I found a PM&R doctor right away. This tells me that this Mr. Cameto truly did nothing in 2 months of me waiting for him. read more

These people are shameful liars. They told me that home health is no longer covered by Medicare. That is flat out lie. I called Medicare and found out it is included. So why would they operate on a 75 year old woman and deny a much needed form of care? Well, I found a new surgeon for my mom and they said Summit is telling me that home care isn't covered because Medicare pays the surgeon more if they don't order home care. These are greedy horrible people. These doctors should have their license's revoked for caring more about money than patient care. Shame on you Summit Orthopedics! read more

This review is for the staff and in specifically "Cindy". I called to make my grandmother an appointment since she already had a referral. I gave her information and they told me nothing came up. They were asking me if I was sure that this was the right place. Yes it's the right place the same address and phone number on the paper. The woman was giving me a huge attitude and seemed like if she didn't want to help at all. She eventually found my grandma with the same D.O.B that I've been giving her the whole time. Fast forward to a month later she calls to give a reminder for the appointment. Oh gosh it was even worse this time. By the end of the call she said "have a better day" and hung up. I called back because I wanted her name and no answer. Eventually after the third call someone else answered and I asked if they could find out who I spoke with and they did it was Cindy. If she knows she has to speak with people everyday she should get a new job because the way she speaks to people is horrendous. read more
