I have had lower back pain for many many years, pretty much right out of high school. And during…read morehigh school my back would tire easily. I've gone to chiropractors before with complaints of back pain, and adjustments did offer some relief but nothing long lasting. . It wasn't until about a month ago, when I started getting headaches daily, did I go to a chiropractor and have them look at my neck. At Alpine Spinal Rehab they take x-rays before you start doing adjustments to make sure that they know exactly what they're getting into. . And what do you know, they found out that I have congenital block formation in my neck. Basically a natural spinal fusion that happened when I was in my momma's belly. Those vertebrae just decided they didn't want to split. . Due to this fusion I have limited mobility and a reverse curve in my neck. My body compensated for this with an excessive back arch, causing more pressure, strain, and pain in that area. It also makes me more prone to misalignments, as you can see in my x-rays my spine leans a little to my left, and my hips tend to be misaligned. . I've been religious about trying to ease my back pain (rolling and stretching my hip flexors, focusing on strengthening my core and glutes, constantly monitoring my posture and struggling to maintain the proper pelvic tilt). It's been a battle to say the least, but I am hopeful that with the help of Alpine Spinal Rehab I will be able to relieve some lower back pain and maintain better alignment in my spine. . If you are looking for a thorough chiropractor then look no further. They are not an in and out kind of place. They make sure to look into all the details, and provide some guidance for physical therapy as well. They want to make sure the adjustments they do last by addressing the muscle imbalances surrounding those joints. . ***Update: I've been coming in 2x a week for about a month now. I still get the occasional headache and back pain, but no where near as often or as intense.

I rarely leave reviews, but this was literally the best chiropractor visit of my life. I was…read morereferred by a family member who sees Dr. Ben Gunn and speaks highly of him, the staff and his clinic so I reached out. I was treated by Dr. Ryan Clark, who really listened to me and went above and beyond to help me with several different treatments for a pinched nerve--adjustment, massage gun, Ozone therapy shot, and spinal decompression. I went in looking for relief from a pinched nerve that I had had for weeks and left ending up feeling amazing all over and didn't have any pain anywhere. I live with chronic pain caused by disc and spinal degeneration, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and a fried nervous system, so I'm really excited that I've found a great chiropractor and super helpful treatments to manage my pain and help heal what I can.

I had what I thought was a groin strain that had been nagging me for 3 weeks, and my coach told me…read moreit was time to get into Dr. Nelson and figure out what was really going on. He immediately had me take some x-rays, which I thought was going to be a huge waste of time and money because it was obviously just a muscle issue. I wouldn't be walking if it was bone, right? I was so wrong. Turns out that the injury is actually a broken pelvis. Dr. Nelson's intuition and on-site imaging technology changed my entire season over about the course of 5 minutes. I'm so grateful he didn't just do the basic physical that most doctors would have done and just assigned me some strengthening exercises. He got to the heart of the issue. What impresses me most about Dr. Nelson, however, is his bedside manner. He was so kind when I burst into tears and has been patient with me when I have argued (again and again) about what exercises he'd let me do. He knows I'm extremely competitive and is good at harnessing that to help me be the "best healer" I can be and get back to racing as quickly as possible. The whole staff is super kind and courteous. It's easy to get an appointment. Although I can't quite say it's been a pleasure being their patient, they couldn't make the experience any better.

had an extremely upsetting experience with Advanced Sports Medicine Clinic…read more I came in experiencing significant lower back pain, and I specifically told the doctor that I was also having abdominal pain and symptoms that were concerning to me. The Doctor still proceeded and gave me two steroid injections in my lower back. Shortly after being seen there. my condition became significantly worse and I ended up in the ER. I went into urinary retention, required a catheter, developed severe weakness in my legs, and eventually lost the ability to walk normally. I was ultimately hospitalized while doctors tried to determine what was happening. What has been especially difficult for me is knowing that I was trying to communicate that something felt seriously wrong with my body before everything escalated. Regardless of what ultimately caused my neurological symptoms, I wish my concerns and the combination of symptoms I was reporting had been taken more seriously and that I had been advised to seek a higher level of medical evaluation. After everything I went through--the ER, hospitalization, skilled nursing home, loss of mobility, bladder issues, and the ongoing recovery, I was honestly shocked that the clinic had the audacity to call me and still pursue my copay as though this had been an ordinary visit after what they put me through, given the circumstances, I would have expected significantly more compassion and consideration. This experience has had an enormous impact on my life, and unfortunately I would not feel comfortable returning to this clinic or recommending it to someone experiencing complex or rapidly worsening symptoms under this clinics care.
