Complete crooks! For the last few years, Summit has convinced us to itemize our returns, then charged us 400 plus after having to pay fed and state each year. I did our taxes this year using Turbo and discovered that the standard deduction has been more than itemizing for the past few years. FURIOUS!! Almost 4,000 back this year in state and fed. 1st refund in years! MY mistake for trusting Summit Financial Group! Never again! read more

Still not getting 2020 tax refund. Signed over Power of Attorney two times to two different tax preparers at Summit. Still no refund received from the 2020 tax return that Summit prepared and filed. Very frustrating that I still don't have the refund from 2020. read more

Della is the absolute best there is! She has been doing my taxes for nearly 20 years! If I hit the lotto, she is my first call!!!

I have been using Michelle to prepare our personal taxes as well as two corporate returns for a few years. The communication is terrible, she never responds to any emails or phone calls. This year the IRS gave an extension but we still needed our taxes filed for personal reasons. All documentation was provided to Michelle and Summit 3/1/2023. Mid May, one full month after traditional taxes are due I began to call and email w/ absolutely NO returned emails or calls. My last email stated that if I did not hear back from her that I was going to pull the business since I needed the returns completed. Below is the response that I got. Chris, I am sorry we are not meeting your expectations by preparing your tax returns in a manner that is acceptable to your time frame. We wish you the best in your future endeavors. They messed up the dependency section ( for the second time!) on my ex-wifes return, so my filing got rejected and she had to file an ammendedment and I had to manually file. My accountant, rightly had to charge me extra to correspond with the other accountant ( not a CPA or EA ), (Diedre), as well as having to manually file etc. Not only did she refuse to do the right thing and reimburse me for HER mistake, I got no admission of wrong doing and not even an appology. My ex didnt get a discount for the inconvenience she was caused. Obviously customer service and their reputation is not important to them. There are plently of good reputable accountants around, so steer clear of these people. read more

Very expensive! They charged me and my husband $448 to file our taxes! Plus there is only 1 CPA in their office so when you see someone there they are not a true CPA so then you have to pay $58 for audit protection which CYA's them because they aren't CPA's! We won't be going back next year. They don't do anything different then anyone else can do. They have the typical computer program. read more

Just to update - Summit told me I would have to pay over $3k in taxes but I found their error and I'm actually supposed to be getting a refund! Because they had to file amended returns I still have not received my refund! Thanks for taking my money, messing up my taxes and not even bothering to say I'm sorry. What a lousy way to do business! Nancy @ Summit Financial has been doing my taxes for 4 years running. This place is great- especially for people in the medical, fire and police fields. They have it all "dialed" in as to what you can deduct on your taxes and every year I walk away pleased... A little on the steep side in terms of cost, but well worth it. read more

I used David Taddeo from this location. Friendly person but not the greatest in follow up or communication. I called multiple times to the office with no response. His front desk would say that he's not available when in fact he was at the office (friend of mine called and he answered). Furthermore dates that he said forms were filed were indeed not when they were filed according to the IRS. I cannot speak about the others at the group but would want someone that feels communication is important. read more

Upon recommendation from a friend, my husband and I had our taxes completed at this business for 2017. We were told that taxes start at $300. We were referred by a family friend that stated their taxes come to about $150, so we budgeted for $300-400 for the two of us. We do not have children or own a house, so our taxes were very straightforward and the person completing them was finished in 45 minutes. We were charged $720 and filed March 21. Today is June 16th and we still have not received our full refund. There have been issues on both the state and federal side with the IRS needing more time to review. When we called the Summit Financial Group to get assistance, they quickly told us it's our of their hands and there is nothing they can do about it. We have never had any issues with receiving our tax return quickly, and we are very frustrated at the Financial Summit Group's lack of concern or assistance. We do not recommend this business to anyone. read more
