I was pleasantly surprised when Benjamin replied to my email about 20 minutes later. I had a lot of questions so we began emailing each other back and forth. Benjamin was very quick to respond. He was also very helpful and provided all the information I needed. I was not able to go to the office in person due to work, however, I was able to send over all my documents through their secure portal. Once I sent the information, Benjamin took care of everything. However after that the communication totally broke down and she pretty much ghosted us when we had questions about our tax return. As someone using a CPA for the first time, I found myself wondering why am I paying when I feel like I am trying to figure this out alone (basically felt abandoned). We asked some basic questions back in March, she responded once, and that was it. She then emailed my husband that she's been on a trip to Japan. Going out of country right during tax season as a CPA is a choice and that's fine, just COMMUNICATE WITH US. A friend recommended I get them done through a professional this year just to see if I am getting the most return. I did my taxes online, but did not submit them. Then I had Aguilera & Associates do my taxes and they saved me $1000!!! I was shocked. It is only $130 for first time customers for basic returns. Only a little more than doing them online and cheaper than have a professional at H&R Block do them. So worth it!!!!!
