The day before escrow was due to close, the underwriter requests a "comfort letter" from a CPA. Even though the underwriter had the schedule Cs needed to verify my self employed business has been ongoing 3 years ca. 2016! When most CPAs I talked to bulked at the idea, Chris humbly and expediently used a secure digital portal to execute my underwriter's request in minutes! My Mother and I scheduled an appointment with Marisela Crabb. We drove for an hour to get to her place of business, to find out from her husband and associate that she was not there! She did not even have the decency to call me and let me know she needed to reschedule the appointment, that she had a previous engagement she needed to tend to. Her husband called her and told her we were there waiting for her. I heard him tell her, "you need to make a decision". I am assuming to come home and honor her commitment. Even knowing we were there, she did not have the courtesy to pick up the phone and apologize. As if her time was more valuable than our time. It was a complete lack of disregard. Also, last year my niece went to Marisela to file her taxes. Three months later, she went to the IRS to check on the status of her refund and was informed that the accountant who prepared her taxes failed to file one of the forms. As a result, my niece will need to resubmit her taxes. My niece called and left Marisela multiple messages and e-mails that went unanswered. She had been my family's accountant for years, and I am shocked at her lack of professionalism. Her behavior has been so dismissive and unprofessional! read more

He answered with "deal with it with your new tax accountant", " if you don't understand, then why are you asking" and even hung up on us. Later on, he finally realize he was wrong. But still was passive aggressive and wanted me to mail in the paperwork, which is 1 year delinquent. He could've avoided this rating if he was just respectful because, even with his error, I would've just moved on. read more

This review should have been written sooner but is in regards to last year's tax season. I did our own taxes at home, as I do every year, and ended up owing a certain number. I thought taking our taxes to Crabb might save me some money(especially because he came recommended from a co-worker), so I did. Upon making an appointment and visiting him at his home, we assumed we were going to owe (as we do every year). We had to bring our two toddlers with us, we did not have any other choice, and he didn't seem too pleased with that. They were coloring in their own corner and were overall well-behaved. Anyways, Crabb finalized our taxes and to our surprise, his amount that we owed was significantly less that what I came up with. So we paid him for his services and paid the surprisingly less amount we owed. That is...... Until we received a letter in the mail about a month later that indicated we owed about TWICE THE AMOUNT HE QUOTED US FOR!!!!!!!!! What was the point in paying for his services if he was going to make errors on our taxes? I should have just completed them at home (because the number I came up with was the exact number we ended up owing in total after receiving that letter). We were very disappointed in his errors.
