I was referred here for a possible root canal from my dentist. They were able to get me in, in about a week with a cancelation The office is located at the Summit Mall close to Vans. Parking was a breeze. The office is modern and very inviting. The office gals were very sweet and efficient with forms ready for me to fill out. The exam room was really nice. Everything seemed so high tech. Dr Adams came in and examined the xrays and did a few manual tests to verify his findings. He was very transparent and told me there was no need for a root canal and showed me why. I appreciated his honesty and glad he didn't perform any unnecessary work. read more

My dentist referred me to Dr. Adams for a root canal and his team was able to get me in the same day. Everything was so straight forward: the cost, the procedure, xray, etc. Dr. Adams and his staff are super friendly, professional, and were a pleasure to interact with. My Left upper back molar was infected and I was dealing with a really bad toothache and headache for a week prior to getting this root canal. My overall appointment was roughly 1 hour. We decided to pick a dentist closer to our house and with flexibility in hours and weekends. First, their website easily accessible to book appointments and to pre fill the new patient forms.. The only dislike was a long , repetitive medical form.. Availability was offered within a week or two.. just to have the new patient exam before booking the cleaning appointments. The office environment impressive, clean and new equipment. Staff friendly and informative. The Dr. professional, friendly, and laid back. Apparently, my crown from the previous dentist was not placed correctly, (back in October), there was a slight open margin. So now a cavity is developing.. ugh... I'm glad he caught the error, (which was obvious in the X-ray).. so now I either go back to where the error occurred to get fixed, or just pay and have it done correctly... Hubby has an afternoon appointment here as well. We will schedule our teeth cleanings in the summer. Glad we Yelped Update :1/7/2020 Here for my 6 month cleaning. Lucky we have dual insurance. My appointment was rescheduled to earlier in the day, so I had to change my work schedule. I was shocked to find out after my cleaning, that the Dr. Britain was no longer there.... they would always schedule your cleaning with your dentist. But this time I had a new female dentist, and she did a great job cleaning my teeth. I think the whole office staff is new, so quite surprised after my last visit. read more

I was referred by a local dentist office, which has lately been baf as well, trying to double charge me for the same cleaning that they didn't complete the first time because they "ran out of time." At Summit, before my procedure, the assistant stated that they would begin injecting jumping with the needle without applying any topical numbing first. Confused as to why they would try to do that, I asked, do they use topical numbing for prep. The assistant said that they do have topical on hand, but that they don't use it. I asked for some topical and they obliged. But, less than 2 minutes later, before the topical had fully set in, the Dr. walked in and began the numbing process using the needle and injecting in places the topical hadn't even been placed and then had the nerve to say I was sensitive from the pain I was feeling. This was aggrivating. I have always been stated to have a high pain tolerance from doctors that apply numbing the proper and patient considerate way. As if he wouldn't feel the same way with someone sticking a needle in his mouth with no topical numbing prep. Long story short, I initally went to get rid of an abscess from what the Dr. said was an infected root canal. After the first retreatment for my root canal failed which cost me over $1,300, I was going to just remove the tooth and get an implant. The doctor, however, advised me that an apicoectomy might be the better option longterm. $2,900 later and that procedure has failed too. So I've spent nearly $4,500 dollars on the same tooth and the doctor hasn't fixed the initial problem at all. I still need to have the tooth removed and an implant placed in. And that is going to run me another $3,000 or so. This office will never see another dime of my money. And, at this point, I'm not even sure that the problem has been diagnosed properly. I'll be traveling back to my home state to see my old doctor and see what actually needs to be done. This was the absolute worst experience I've had in a doctor's office by far. read more

Whole experience was unacceptable for a professional medical office and procedure. I am 76 and have had dental work over the years including root canal. There was an infection in a prior root canal causing unbearable pain thus my dentist referred me to Summit Endodontics for treatment. What I experienced in care and service was unacceptable. Yet, I did go through with the procedure. Never including the dental work while in the Marine Corp had I experienced this level of rough uncaring treatment. The Dr. didn't speak at all during the procedure. Chipped with splinters flying everywhere in the mouth, drilled, hammered without once checking in asking how I was doing! The Dr. had allotted 45 min. for the $1,700 job and fled the room with out a word when my time was up. Minutes after I left the office the pain began to set in with the inside of the mouth feeling as though I had chewed on glass. The pain level went so high there was no sleeping that night. After checking my check your EOB (explanation of benefits) from my insurance co. I found that I had been overcharged hundreds of dollars. After calling the office on Friday I was told the person in charge would call first thing Monday am. No call , so after visiting in person Monday around 11:30 am I was told "I've been on vacation for a week, and I'll get to the Ins Co EOB soon & when the payment clears my bank account I will issue a refund." Showing her the EOB she continued to be rude, condescending & smirked when I explained I understand how to read a EOB , having worked in a Dental office myself for 18 years. "oh, good for you" was her reply. No apologies, N o I understand your concern & I will address the problem ASAP You're only as good as your front office...BTW when I arrived she was outside chatting up the construction men working on the vacant office next door.... wish I could give them less than 1 star. read more

Never went to this Dental office, I contacted them on a referral from my own Dentist. I canceled the appointment when I found out a simple root canal was going to cost $1700. ( $1400 insurance, $300 out of pocket. ) I'm sure they do good work but that's excessive. read more

Plus they left me outside in a wheelchair til husband came . He was running a bit late and hurrying .. But very inpatient and of course don't care much about patients covid or not. Excellent experience! My primary dentist referred me on an emergency basis- they were able to see me immediately, and performed 2 emergency root canals. The teeth are located under a bridge, and Dr Adams was able to do the procedure and save my bridge! He explained the process to me every step of the way and was very kind and considerate. Jenny at the front desk was incredibly helpful-she explained my insurance payment, my co-pay, and my payment options (Care Credit) and we were able to get approved for Care Credit immediately, 12 months interest free! She was very kind-didn't bat an eye when this situation brought me to tears. Very supportive. The location is also convenient-very easy to hop right on the freeway, which is helpful after a procedure. I highly recommend Summit Boulevard Dental. I had my first check up scheduled to establish care and a week before that appointment my tooth chipped. I called early Monday and they were able to see me later that morning. They facility is beautiful and has up to date technology. Vicky at the front desk made sure to collect all my information and then returned before the procedure to let me know my cost, no surprises. Dr. Jelena was kind and gentle but also very fast. Kyle the hygienist was very caring and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I was in pain one morning and being new to area, didn't have a primary dentist. I called Summit Blvd Dental and even though they were booked and typically take patients who have been referred by their dentist, they agreed to fit me in and take a look at what was causing my pain. Staff was very thorough in letting me know cost and Dr. Adams was also very to the point about my issue. He showed me the xray and I needed a root canal. He didn't try to sell me other treatments, just addressing the one tooth. I really appreciated that. I think that lots of people avoid going to dentists because they want to simply address the problem tooth, not come out with a long list of what else is needed, costing thousands of dollars. What brings people back over their lifetime is someone who listens and understands what the patient needs and how much they can afford. I experienced that last week with Dr. Adams. read more

I had to have a same day emergency root canal and was referred to Summit Boulevard Dental by my own dentist and they were able to get me in within 2 hours after visiting my own dentist. Though a root canal is quite a complex and sometimes painful procedure, I experienced it to be completely painless. Dr. Tim Adams is very professional and highly efficient and I was waiting at most a few minutes between procedures. Dr. Adams checked on me quite frequently during the procedure to make sure I wasn't in pain. The procedure took less than an hour minutes and I was very impressed with how efficiently things were organized. The dental assistant was super friendly and kept me informed throughout the process. I have been to several dentists in my life as I have moved around a lot but Summit Boulevard Dental's office was very modern and has state of the art equipment (super nice 3D tooth scanner and I saw they also have a 3D tooth printer?) I needed an emergency root canal and my regular dentist referred me to Dr. Adams, who saw me the next day at 8:30 am. A root canal is not a fun way to spend a Saturday morning (thank goodness they have Saturday hours!), but after meeting Dr. Adams, I felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. He carefully explained the procedure and asked frequently if I needed a break and even told me to signal by raising my left hand if anything hurt while he was drilling. Dr. Adams did a re-do on my 17 year old molar root canal. He and his team explained all that was happening and answered all my questions. Relatively low post surgery pain and none during the procedure. The office manager Vikki was responsive via email, plus they are in-network for my insurer, and hence moderately priced too. Dr. Adams is a board certified endodontist, which is not the case with most endodontists. A re-do is tricky from what I read, so I preferred this certification. Highly recommended. read more

The office is impressive, new, well decorated and very clean. I was referred by my dentist to this office to see an Endodontist, I was contacted shortly after and had an appointment the next day. The dental assistant (I am sorry I forgot your name, I will get it next time) was very nice and very attentive to my needs. Dr. Adams is a nice guy, he explained what needed to be done and went right to work. He is very gentle with a needle and seemed to take his time to make sure the job was done right. He used equipment that I had not seen in other dental offices, the entire procedure was done through a microscope. Near the end of the treatment, he explained what to expect in recovering. The assistant explained everything after the procedure and is so nice. A special mention for Tawny. My dentists receptionist said she was very nice on the phone. I can totally agree with that statement. When she called she was very friendly and polite. She even called me back to reschedule to an earlier time and explained the situation. She was the first one to greet me and she was the same in person, even at 8:00 in the morning. She has a genuine smile and she is easy on the eyes too. I went here to have a root canal done. They said they did 3D panoramic ex-rays. The dentist there told me the root canal probably would not last, so I decided to go and have it removed. When I went up to the check out desk they told me my insurance wouldn't pay for 3D ex-rays and I owed them $175.00. They said they would submit the bill to insurance just in case. They never did. I called them to request my ex-rays to be sent to my dentist and was told they would put them out in that days mail. Almost 3 weeks later my dentist gets a computer print off of the one tooth. I call and complain and Summit Blvd. Dental said they would sent me a disk of the ex-rays. They never did. Called two more times with promises of "I'll put them in the mail today." I told them either the ex-rays or my money back. It's been two weeks, a total of over a month, and still nothing from them. The front office looks nice, but when they take you back, the floors are bare cracked cement. I would never recommend these people to anyone! read more

I had a wonderful experience with the office and Dr. B. The hygienist noticed that I was cold (I'm always cold) and brought me a blanket to keep me warm during the x-rays and exam. They took the most x-rays I've ever had to get the most detailed look at my teeth. The dentist went through all my x-rays, talked to me throughout the exam and explained everything to me.
