My daughter was very excited to attend her first day camp this summer. I filled out her medical…read moreinfo, letting them know that she had been diagnosed with separation anxiety and asthma. I expected and received a phone call on the first day. I discussed with the counselor what coping skills worked best with her. On the fourth day of camp, I received a call saying that she has attempted to assault a counselor. I rushed in to discover that she had been crying, wanting to come home and had just been told "no. You have to participate with the rest of the kids." I was told by the counselor that she had been wheezing all day, and vomiting. When she went to hug the counselor (counselor told me herself that she opened her arms to invite her in for a hug) for some comfort, she was mouth breathing at this time as nothing was done about her asthma even with an air quality alert. They accused her of attempting to bite and refused to allow her to finish the last day of camp. There are 3 times they should have called me before this moment, 2 of which were medical emergencies and could have resulted in hospital visits. I made the mistake of thinking that because they call themselves "Christian based" that my seven year old would be treated with love and kept safe. Instead she was out into a dangerous situation and then criticized and accused of things she never did.

BEAUTIFUL!!! Not sure what led me to this new (to me) off the beaten trail park up in Sidney, but…read moreI'm SUPER glad I made the "pilgrimage" up there a few weekends ago, on a gorgeous fall day, to check it out!! There's definitely something for just about everyone here, including a MASSIVE public pool for the summer months, beautiful trails, multiple playgrounds, picnic areas, scenic waterways, ball fields, and even a lovely covered bridge. You'll need much more than one day to see everything, but I was able to see a good bit of this wonderful community park, including hiking most of the VERY user-friendly Benjamin Trail, ending at the covered bridge (I think the trail continues, but I stopped/returned at that point) and driving around the perimeter of the park to see several other trail heads. There was a pretty good number of people here the day I visited, but it never felt overcrowded. Life's ups and downs have led me to do some serious "exploring," in every sense of the word, up to and including some of the lesser-known parks in the area. Tawawa was a WONDERFUL discovery, and I hope to return SOON!! CHECK IT OUT!!!!!

We didn't realize a staff member is with you and correcting you the whole time. When he gave the initial tutorial we were grateful but then he just stayed and but a damper on the whole time. Everytime we missed a shot he would tell us what we were doing wrong until I lost motivation. Plus my target was falling a part and you would think he would fix it instead of throwing axes on our time but he never did. Despite his presence we had a really good time throwing the axes. The main park entrance, then, is in the center, at this address. A decent lot, a small shelter, a small playground, restrooms, etc. Also a kid-size basketball court, which is cool, and some playing fields. No amenities at the northern entrance, a few at the southern one. There's a walking trail the whole way through the parks, along the creek, and along the highway. There's the bridge to the high school at the southern end, of course. There are playing fields that always flood in the south. A nice park, along the edge of the development. I'm wondering if there is a park in the center of the neighborhood, since this is a bit of a hike for some residents.
