We had lots of concerns with our stay that we tried to address with them and they won't even let you talk to a manager! And tell you that you can have 15% of your next stay who is going to come back to a place that ruins, their vacation and won't even take care of are concerns this time !!!! First off when we got there it was hot as ever in the apartment!! They had a window ac and didn't even have it turned on for there costumers how awful who wants to arrive to a hot place !! Next the door was left wide open so it was as hot as the Florida weather! Next there is a kitchen with no dish soap but a sponge to wash the dishes? Didn't make sense to me! Are sink was leaking and they let us know that the plumber would come next day to look at it between eight and 12 the next day so we change are vacation plans to be out of the apartment when they where going to come because the kitchen is small and we wanted to give him room ! We came back at 2:15 to eat lunch and they are in there late and with the door wide open !!!!! He was in the way and we could not even make lunch!! He was there for a really long period and still said we could not use the sink and put a pan under it And made a big mess! No one told us they where coming late at all !!! We missed are $70 dollars tickets for a boat ride due to this ! They also used pans that your going to cook out of to catch the stuff falling underneath the sink that people are going to eat out of !!! no one contacted us to let us know the time had even changed!!!!! She informed us not to use the sink because it will still leak and do to this we were not able to clean the dishes. There was a mess left behind from the Plummer!!! Next there was no hand soap in the bathroom and no bag in the trash can ! When you sit on the toilet your knees tuch the wall in front of you . There was no mirror in front of the sink in the bathroom or any! Lamps were not even plugged in and didn't even have lightbulbs in them ! Don't wast your time or money with this place because they will just ruin your vacation and not take ownership for doing it! read more

Would not recommend this place as they cancel the reservation after the check in time. Drove 18 hours and was ready to relax and enjoy life, but had no place to stay once they canceled the reservation. My partner and I booked this motel last minute for a weekend. We are avid travelers and have stayed in numerous hotels/motels, this experience being the worst by far. As far as cheap owners go, this place wins the prize. A deposit is only taken in cash, to avoid a 40 cent processing fee that someone was too inconvenienced to put into their business plan? The room was very dirty with visible debris all over the floor. The comforters seemed unwashed and used. The toilet paper roll was half-way gone and obviously used by the previous tenant. There was no hot water during our entire stay. There were small bugs crawling around all over the bed, room, and bathroom. Just a big fat NO. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE. It is unsafe, unsanitary and smells of mold. I booked a few nights for my daughter and I sight unseen and was greatly disappointed upon arrival. We were extremely tired from traveling and gave it a chance and the staff was nice enough to try and switch rooms but each was worse than the last. None looked like the one we booked online. Finally when i was fed up they showed me the updated room that magically became available. I was not pleased with their bare and switch business practices and did not stay the night. Eww. EXTREMELY DIRTY, very old, small, and guy at desk wouldn't let us check out 2 to 3 hours later, even though we checked in after 10pm (SEVEN hours later). He was also a jerk when we were leaving. So dusty - lamps, shelves, AIR CONDITIONER - OMG. Hair various places, things felt nasty; cleaned with Lysol wipes once we arrived, before I could even use the bathroom, as I was too grossed out. We chose this based on reviews that it was so clean compared to the other options in the area. If this is "clean"... I refuse to believe that Clearwater, FL is that dirty! People have very, very different standards. Worn bedding, stained chair seats, worn shelving, soiled baseboards (especially in bathroom - of course!), DRIPS and nastiness on wall by kitchen, on counter, wall behind counter, and... wait for it... on BLINDS in BATHROOM. To take the cake, guy behind desk seemed "friendly," but is unhelpful, inflexible, rude and defensive. His wide, fake, predatorial smile is also something you read about in Stephen King books. He claimed this room was "reserved" so we had to be out at 11am, although we arrived after 10pm checking in. We just wanted the ability to freshen up before our flight instead of having to roam around town for hours. Maid "leaves at 1pm," he says, and they have to rent this room. ??? At 10pm there were a total of FIVE CARS in the parking lot. This is NOT the type of place you "reserve" a particular room at. When I asked him, he shared there are 21 rooms. This isn't a busy season - there's no way they're full to capacity. However, once we got inside the room and saw it... we did NOT want to spend any more time there than required. When we were sitting in the parking lot to GPS our next location, he comes out saying how he hates to lose us. He asks how we liked it... I ask does he mean the room or Clearwater? He says both, so I tell him that Clearwater was nice, but we didn't like the room. He asks why we didn't tell him, and what was wrong with it - I say because they wouldn't have done anything about it, and it was very dirty, there were bugs, and the A/C was dysfunctional. He responds only, "No bugs." I said yes, bugs: numerous gnats, ants, and little black roach-like bugs. He launches into a tirade about how it's FL and there will be bugs "even in the Marriott." He then walks off, laughs, and gets back on the phone. Then, a minute later, HE COMES BACK to the car window to say we "should be appreciative and not come to him complaining" (??!!) about the room. What?! YOU asked ME how the room was, dude -- I'm not going to lie to you just to make you feel better! This was exactly why we didn't say anything in the first place! That, coupled with the fact we'd paid in advance through booking.com which was nonrefundable, and we'd gone to the store at 11pm after check-in -- before I'd even use the bathroom -- to get Lysol wipes and rubber gloves to wipe everything down we were going to touch. We didn't want to risk having to go through all that again as we couldn't imagine that any alternate room would be better enough. Eww, eww, eww. If you can, spend the money on something better, do it. Worst experience in years. I hope the next occupants of that room don't get stung by the wasp building a nest RIGHT across from the room door! read more

EXTORTION! I received a call from the hotel two days prior to my reservation (made several weeks earlier) demanding that I give them additional money or they would cancel my reservation. After I refused, they did indeed cancel the reservation and relisted the room for triple what I had reserved it for! This was in the middle of Major League Baseball spring training and spring break, and with the two-day notice, I had to pay double to reserve a room much farther away. Book a room here if you dare, but just know that your reservation means nothing if the owner thinks he can get more money out of someone else. read more

WORST PLACE TO STAY EVER!!! If you are by yourself with no friends or family it is perfect. My mom and I just got kicked out because we had an "unregistered guest". You need to register your friends and family in order for your visitors to be within 50ft of the pool! Ridiculous!! She even said she wasn't renewing our friend we met here for "getting involved". We were just having harmless fun by the pool! Speaking of pool, they don't even vacuum it! It is so dirty and the owner is a nosey individual. I walked in on a Wednesday and paid cash for a room for Thursday and Friday night. My residents did not check in until Thursday. The owner kicked him out on Friday morning and called the cops because he claimed that room was for Wednesday and Thursday night. They did not check in until Thursday. It's a '50's motor court motel for $80 a night. Cheap, but still over priced for what you get. The Good: Friendly manager. Firm bed. Clean. Surprisingly quiet. Wifi speed and signal strength were good after a reset of the router. The Not so good: Tired old place. Looks like the bathroom had been remodeled at one time, but had no exhaust fan, no sink stopper, and the towel rack was pulling out of the wall. Kitchenette was sparse. Microwave, fridge, double hot plate. One pot (without lid), one fork, two knives, no towel or coffee. No closet in the room. TV had a remote that only worked to change the volume. There is no breakfast. No housekeeping. But clean towels were available on request. But it was clean. read more

As somebody who has stayed in various Airbnb's in multiple countries, this place is an absolute disgrace to the entire Airbnb experience. When the CDC discontinued the mandatory 10-day quarantine for traveling across state lines, we booked a last-minute vacation to the Clearwater area. As special educators, we simply wanted nothing more than a relaxing week at the beach as this was our first post-covid shutdown trip. This experience was more revolting then relaxing. Imagine my surprise when we arrived to check in and were informed that out room had 1 king size bed. The Airbnb listing stated that the room had two double beds and when I pointed this out to the woman at the reception desk, I was told that I was wrong. When I pulled up the listing to reiterate the promised accommodations, she continued to tell me that I was incorrect despite the listing clearly specifying two double beds. When I inquired if it was possible to be moved to a room with two beds, I was told that the motel was booked. We stayed at the summerside inn for approximately 6 days and the sign continued to read "vacancy," the parking lot remained empty for the duration of our trip, and we never encountered any other guests. After this experience, I clearly understand why the listing remained open despite the spring break crowds. Upon entering our room, the mildew smell was overwhelming, the towels reeked of must, and there were spiders/spider webs in multiple corners. The ONLY reason we stayed was the entire beach and surrounding areas were booked because of spring break and all we needed was a clean bed and shower. Rental cars were impossible to come by, but thankfully we had a friend close by in Tampa who was more then willing to drive us around when he was available. After a night out, our friend responsibly crashed in our room as we had been drinking. When we woke up the next morning we were harassed by the receptionist who demanded we pay $150 for breaking the agreement and having somebody else stay in our room. When I inquired about what agreement she was referring too as there were zero rules listed on the airbnb profile, she repeated that Airbnb was very strict and had emailed her. I asked to see the email from Airbnb and her story quickly changed to it being the host who was upset by our guest and that they would call the police if we didn't pay the money. When I asked to speak to the host, I was told that he was not available. I used the contact host feature on the Airbnb app tried to explain the situation. The host refused to even let me speak, instead he called me a liar, said that he deals with "people like me" all the time, told me that my friend should have driven home and demanded we pay $120. I told the host to just charge my card and he insisted that we pay cash. Instead, the host called back angry, insisting that we pay $5 additional dollars because he told me 5 times on the phone that the fee was $125. This so-called fee changed three times within a 15-minute period. We paid the money and received no receipt, guaranteed that money was pocketed and remained off the books and untaxed. Moral of the story, please learn from my mistake and DO NOT STAY HERE! This entire operation is a scam. read more

Stay away from this horrible place. I booked a reservation through Expedia. I chose to pay at the time of check-in. The manager called the day I was supposed to arrive and demanded my payment right then over the phone after I said I would arrive later that evening. I refused, and he grew extremely nasty. I ended up calling Expedia, who canceled the reservation for me with no penalty. I would not recommend this rat trap to anyone and would sleep in my car first before spending one minute or one dollar at this hideous excuse for a motel. read more

The owner was very nice and accommodating as we got in very early in the morning the first night we stayed here. Some of the rooms need a little updating and are a little cramped (especially in the bathroom) but I saw that they are updating rooms now. We were able to bring our dog which is one of the reasons why we chose this place to stay. Unfortunately our room was a dog room and smelled like it. We just dealt with it, realizing it is a dog room but wishing that it didn't smell so much. The pool area was very nice and it is within walking distance of our new favorite cafe. The staff was very nice to us throughout our stay. Overall a great price and it was a good time. read more

Amazing find! Right in the heart of downtown Clearwater, close to the beach, and great prices. You never know what you're going to get with the mom & pop places, but this happens to be a family-owned motel that I will visit again and again. Yvonne is the owner and a fantastic host! Her staff was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. All the modern conveniences including free wifi that never bumps you offline. I had a fantastic 4 day stay. The room was $350 for 2 nights so saying that you can determine if you think it's worth the money. Let's start with the beds you only get 1 pillow on each side of the bed and 1 sheet with a thin "comforter" to sleep with. The beds are comfortable but with so few pillows and uncomfortable blankets it doesn't feel so great. In the bathroom we were provided 2 towels, face soap, hand soap, & a bottle of shampoo that looks as if it had been used by the previous people & just kept there because it wasn't yet gone.... No conditioner. In the "kitchenette" there was a decent sized refrigerator but it reeked of fish, whenever it was opened the whole room smelt of it. We couldn't get the microwave to work, I didn't feel comfortable using the silver wear we were provided, the toaster oven was unplugged and there was no outlet near it to use so we had to move it to the other side of the room to use it, we were provided a coffee maker but no coffee or tea or anything for that matter, you get an ice bucket but we couldn't find the ice machine if there was one, there was dish soap & a sponge that had already been used by other people who had been in the room before us. The table cloth on the table seemed to have particles of food on it as well. Overall, it wasn't the cleanest, they don't provide you with much at all, it is overpriced for what you get (in my opinion), & it is right by the road so we heard sirens every hour if not more. Although, the workers are pretty friendly, the shower gets nice and hot, & it is close to the beach. I would give it a 7.5/10. I would stay there again but not for the price & would definitely enjoy it if I were provided with everything it was missing & if it were cleaned a little better. read more
