They were flexible and responsive to work through out realtor for scheduling of measurements. We had a tight time frame for installation which they were able to accommodate. The material we originally chose for the floors unfortunately was back ordered, Summers was able to find a suitable replacement that we actually liked better than our first choice. The installation team were professional, high quality and treated our home with respect. They arrived on time each day, and even worked Saturday to complete the project in time for us to move in. I had my mind set on doing end grain flooring and had already done a bit of research on it before we connected with Summers through Heidi Byrnes Design Group. She assured me Summers would be the guys to make it happen and after emailing back and forth a bit with Michael Summers, we agreed to have them do the job. I know the install was a bit out of the norm and required more effort (drying, sanding, and staining on site) than engineered flooring and also needed to be done right. I worried whether they would be up to the task, but I can't say enough how beautiful the floors are and how happy we are with them. The team that was assigned did a great job communicating timing of the project, expectations from us, and completed the project on time and under budget. Wow! Stay away. This place schedules appointments, reaches out to reschedule with less than 48hrs notice so they can take unplanned vacations and if you don't reschedule the owner harasses you with voice mails and texts. Summers Flooring has TERRIBLE customer service, they don't stand behind their service and apparently don't take pride in their work. Our floors started cupping 6 months after Summers replaced them from a broken pipe we had. Michael first blamed us for more water damage, then the restoration company saying they didn't dry it to Industry Standards, which is not true and properly documented. After removing four boards in our home yesterday, Kim is telling our Attorney that Summers didn't replace any of the cupped boards and that 25 feet of cupped flooring is the original flooring that was in the house. We just have one question Kim, Michael and Leroy, "What exactly did you do in our home for 10 days if you weren't replacing the floors we hired you to replace?" Summers has no intention of replacing the boards they took out yesterday or fixing the floors at all. Apparently, when you are handed a business and don't have to work for it, you don't need a good reputation! Don't use Summers Flooring, they are not worth the hassle! read more

We looked at almost every hardwood floor dealer in Bend and Summer's had not only the best selection, but the best price. We had at least 1000 sq ft that needed to have the disgusting old carpet pulled up and replaced. They communicated with us throughout the process and completed this big job when they said they would. Our new (to us) home gets lots of light, both morning and evening, and the hardwood floors have had a pretty tough life. The floors were faded, in one room to 4 different shades based on the furniture and rugs that had been placed over the floor in the past. The finish was worn through in the Kitchen and high traffic areas, and there was a spot with water damage. I met with Michael Summers, who took measurements and gave me advice on different finishes, though we opted to go with the original oil based finish to keep the costs down. He warned me that their company focuses on quality instead of price, and he wasn's sure they'd be able to get the work done by our move in date. I have never refinished hardwood floors before, so I was surprised by how much it costs, but I spoke to two general contractors who both recommended Summer's before they knew who I was going to use, and both told me the quote was reasonable. With that, I put my trust in Summers and that they could get it done before we moved in. They really pulled out all the stops! Matt & Kim Summers ended up coming out with Jeff and doing the masking and sanding themselves. I left town, and didn't return until move in day with my wife and kids, who had only seen the floors in their previous, shoddy condition. Our jaws dropped when we saw the amazing job Summers did. I have been in the house two days now, and still haven't found a flaw - the floors look as good as they would have had we replaced the hardwod. I know where the water damage was, but I can't find it. I have found no ding or scratches to baseboards or built in cabinetry from the sanding, and no blobs or streaks of un-sanded finish. Basically, they did an absolutely perfect job. I don't anticipate needing them again for a long time, but when I do, I know where to call. read more
