I wrote back that the work order they gave me included an install, so they must be able to do it. I got some more BS excuses, like "boss 'had the virus' and "just" came back in and said they were too busy" etc. uh-huh. I'm sure the secretary did not have authority to send out a work order on her own. and too busy, at the end of pool season? *rolleyes* also, the price they quoted me for system + install was $1100 more than what I paid for the system at retail. I'm pretty sure they knew they couldn't just charge over $1000 for a simple install (swapping in an identical unit, wiring all in place). Seems this company just wants to soak you and figured they couldn't get away with it this time. AVOID

What happened was a complete confusion, since I had already asked another service to do the work. This Start Pool Cleaner showed up when I was not present, let himself in through the side gate, without any prior announcement, and proceeded to do the cleaning without ever being asked to do so. I found out two months later that I owed them for cleanings that were never agreed to, and the owner came and changed my filter without my presence, which might have been better had he made it known in advance the actual day and time so that I could be there to pay attention to it. I paid another pool service the same two months, so I was double charged by Star even though I did not sign any contracts, or even meet them in person.

Do not be fooled by Felipe's soft spoken easy going manner. He is ruthless. In my opinion he is not qualified in pool restoration and uses fly by night sub contractors. I gave him a credit card authorization for a one time small down payment only because he was having trouble depositing checks with his bank. Felipe charged me a 7% credit card fee which he promised to return but never did. He made two other charges using the card without my authorization and I didn't find out until it was too late. I had to report the card as lost. The worst part of the project is that Felipe of Premium Pools charged my account and walked away with the sloppy tile work that was never fixed, the fire-up which was never completed and a burned out pool motor which his subcontractors caused and never disclosed. If you hire this company to do your pool restoration and wind up with money and quality work issues, I told you so. Beware.
