Since Tropics has been working with us, it has been all "smooth swimming". Brian is always a phone call away and he and his brother Chris, who actually comes every week are extremely PROACTIVE and always lets me know if something is needed WITHOUT doing unnecessary work that wastes money. In fact they always find ways to save us money. Well, taking it a big step further I asked Brian if he could redo my pool and spa which had needed work for the longest time. Surface was worn, heater broken to the spa, 18 year old lights that did not work, and a filter system that did not adequately clean the pool. In addition the tile and grout was a mess. Hardly ever used the spa, until now. Brian is a very responsible and straight forward individual that I knew I could trust. I really had a budget in my mind and was honest to let him know what we could spend. There is always a fine line between trying to save money on a project like this and maintaining quality. Because Tropics work with the same people to do these jobs, we met in the middle without sacrificing quality that years down the road we would be sorry for. In fact I was able to add a couple features I never planned on after seeing his showroom in Pompano to pick out and price to make the pool even more desirable. By knowing the people he has worked with for bigger jobs on pools and spas, Brian was able to recommend features that over the years have been developed to make the workings of the pool, heater, lights and pool features more convenient to use, without the hassles of intricate wiring problems. In the recent years, technology has changed and he is quite in the know of what the options are. For example, there has always been issues with controlling anything that had to use wiring, and the new technology now can be integrated with Wi Fi and can use with your Mobile Phone. From anywhere, I can turn on and off the pool filter, the spa, the lights and water return features and heater, and set the temperatures. Brian is very close with the company that does the work and I was surprised to find how less expensive it was than installing manual equipment to control this outside, and the convenience of doing it from anywhere is a plus. Brian will meet you at the showroom to help pick out tile, mosaics, and anything that a pool would need if it needs to be redone or upgraded. Relationships mean everything, and Brian has them. Regarding pool service, there is no question about dependability. In South Florida, there is always a negative attitude about the work ethic here, but Tropics is one that stands out, away from that. The monthly fee to service the pool is extremely reasonable and when I come home, I can definitely tell that Chris has been there. If I had to recite one sentence that describes Tropics Pool and Spa, it would be this. TROPICS POOL AND SPA DOES WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO. If something goes wrong? Brian is a phone call away and does not waste any time coming over. Tropics services mostly Broward and Palm Beach County, so if you are moving here and looking for a pool service or need a change, they are 5 stars all the way.

George Gomes answered the phone and offered to come out to my house on 08/28/24- that day wasn't good for me, so George offered to come out same day (08/26/24) since I was already home. George turned up right near the beginning of the 3-4 p.m. window that he advised, he looked at our pool and pool accessories and discussed options with my wife and I. He answered all of our questions, he was not in a rush, and he explained whatever we didn't understand initially. We asked for a written quotation and got it later that same day. We previously made numerous phone calls and received other estimates and experiences as a reference. Eagle Pools was the best experience and so, it was a quick/easy decision to go with them. We made the 50% deposit on 08/27/24, the pool heater and concrete slab were delivered to our house on 08/28/24 for the 08/30/24 install that I requested. On the evening of 08/29/24, George let us know that the technicians would be at our house between 08:30-09:30 a.m. on 08/30/24. They were in my driveway at 08:45. They double-checked where we wanted to install the heater, discussed options and got to work. At 10:00 a.m. they were done. Initially, when they called me, I thought that they had a question or needed something. I was pleasantly surprised that they were calling me to give me a quick tutorial and to hand over the paperwork for the unit. We have lived in multiple states all over the U.S. and this experience would have been excellent anywhere. However, it stands out even more here in South Florida where people don't turn up when they say they will, or do what they said they would, or turn up without everything needed for the job. Eagle Pools turned up when they said they would, they did what they said they would at exactly the price that was quoted initially. The technicians turned up for the installation with all the parts and tools needed for the job. A few hours after the installation, I had questions about the unit and messaged George. Fifteen minutes later, he called me on a conference call with a technician and they answered all my questions. I haven't needed to call since. We are thoroughly impressed!

Finn's Pool did a complete removal…read moreand replacement of the waterline tile in our 40+ year old 15,000 gallon pool, replaced the old manual pump with an automatic energy efficient model, installed an underwater multi color light (previously non existent), dug out and connected an overflow drain system, replaced all electric connections to the breaker box, and plastered and stuccoed the pool. All of the crews that worked for us were polite, friendly and very patient of our many questions. The "Pool School" at the end of the process was a nice touch. I have a much better understanding of all the new equipment. Finn's was not the cheapest estimate-they were all pretty close- but it was $14,200 well spent. We will definitely call them again.
