Lots of open parking, part of the newly developed homes for sale. Really thoughtful with the dog-height water fountain. The place was seemed clean and…read moremaintained, and had separate gated areas for small and large dogs -- which is always appreciated (especially by the big dog parents who know their pup doesn't realize he's 80 lbs). We didn't go in -- this was purely a socialization mission. Lobo stayed just outside the fence, observing the chaos like a wise old man watching neighborhood kids from the porch. And you know what? He crushed it. Calm, cool, and collected. Gold star. We don't plan on doing dog parks for play since he goes to daycare and thrives in a more structured setting, but if dog parks are your thing -- this one could be a winner. Clean, not overwhelming, and right next to the R Street Corridor, which means you can treat your pup to a full Midtown adventure after. Grab a walk, some sniffs, and maybe hit a patio if your dog's in a chill mood. Or do what Lobo did and just stand outside the fence like a refined gentleman, silently judging everyone inside. 10/10 outing. No paws were stepped on. No chaos ensued. We love to see it.

I usually hang out for a couple of hours at Partners dog park (which is temporarily closed starting May 2026 for major construction project) - but my dog and I were ready to leave this park after 45 minutes. Reasons for my poor rating 1. It is very close to the freeway (check on Google Maps) and a 6am on a summer weekend morning all I heard was traffic - no birds. 2. The tunnel featured on websites was blocked off. The tunnel is what made me think, 'this park is cool, I should check it out'. 3. Across the street from residental housing. (My dog is a husky mix and, if another one had shown up, they could have broken into song waking a few neighbors.) 4. Not frequented at 6am on summer weekend by other dog owners (Luckily one guy showed up with 3 dogs that played with my dog, but they only stayed 15 minutes.) 5. Parking was on street. I prefer a parking lot in order not to disturb neighbors.

So I am writing this review because I can see that there was only one review all of last year…read more(which was aptly a one-star review) and no one has reviewed it so far this year, so it's possible that this used to be a good park deserving of its four-star rating, but that is not the case anymore. I brought my dog here the other day and this park is disgusting. The park is incredibly small and muddy and not well taken care of. It's one of few parks that I have been to where there are no poo bags offered, which is not a problem for me because I bring my own, but it is probably contributing to the horrible state of the park itself. Along with the dog feces everywhere, there was human feces as well as an actual jug full of urine. There are tons of unhoused persons who clearly stay around here in the adjacent canal and have taken over this area, which is not a problem in itself but the state of the park feels unsafe and dirty. This park needs real community involvement and improvement. We did not stay long and I would not recommend this park to anyone in it's current state.

It's not always crowded here and they have a decent size playground which I personally loved when I was a kid. The grass field is big, which was good for some soccer practice; it's also good for a run around the block. There's a set of three picnic tables and 2 grills. There is bathrooms as well so you don't have to "water the trees."
