Most homeworks are done online where help is available to the child. The principal, assistant principal, teachers are all extremely welcome and there is an open door policy. The school is in a very safe neighborhood and the school is packed with cameras, which is amazing for the safety of the children. Unfortunately a charter school isn't for everyone. If you can't learn to follow RULES this school would not be a good match. If you like to socialize, engage with the child's education and volunteer then this is definitely a great school. The greatest amount of information is devoted to fundraising activities. The designers of the physical plant created a building more fortress-like than school-like. The classrooms, the office, the computer lab, and the media center are all undersized and the whole building is claustrophobic. The playground and field are too small for the population. Perhaps the worst part is the location on a very busy street between two businesses. The parking lot is cramped. Since there is no transportation provided, all students must be picked up in the afternoon making the car line a nightmare while leaving the campus is extremely inhibited because of traffic. The only light in this scenario is the gentleman who directs traffic into and out of the campus. He does a wonderful job. The rules at the academy are arbitrary and lack common sense. For example; when it is raining parents must park and collect their children from the cafeteria where they are being held. On dry days if a parent happens to be a couple of minutes late and doesn't make it "behind the gate" even though the car line is not finished, they are required to park and proceed to the crowded office where their children are then summoned from the cafeteria. This exchange could be accomplished the same way as for rainy days, but that wouldn't punish parents enough for not making it behind the gate apparently. I find that much of the staff is aloof and unfriendly and a large percentage have little experience. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

I am very pleased with kids cove academy in comparison to some other daycares I won't mention. Let's just say I switched five daycares in one year because I didn't see these other daycares meeting my children's needs. I wasn't just a parent who drops off and picks up I saw within as a worker and as a parent before kids cove became kids cove there was also Little Giants off Big Bend and Kids Cove Academy are probably the top two in the Riverview area & everything else is pretty average. I can say this because I either sent my children there or I worked there in the past ( five years ago or so) so I don't know how other child centers are now, but I want to compliment these two centers. Ms. Maribel & Ms. Chethana are excellent teachers & I'd recommend them both to anyone in the Riverview area needing VPK services.

I speak to the owner today and I tell him it's only right he makes this situation right with me. The owner tells me I should feel bad for the driver because he fired him... Are you kidding me?? This guy literally kidnapped my kids for a little while he went on a joy ride to his house and I should feel bad that he got fired?
