I didn't receive a call from the teacher/school about it. Grandpa went down to the school to speak to the principal but she was busy, so he spoke to the teacher and she said she was only aware of the student kissing my son on his shoulder. I was upset that they did not tell me. I didn't get a phone call back from the principal until I called the district, she called about an hour or 2 later. (2 days later). I told the principal my son is uncomfortable and to move him classes and she told me now. I went down to the district and they said they would call me within 24 hours. It's been a little over 2 days now. No one has returns my voicemail since they don't answer their phone.

The next day Ms. Santana questioned my daughter about what she had told me regarding what had happened (leaving her without recess and accusing her of pushing another gril) she involved Ms. Lopez (lunch lady) the lunch lady got mad at my daughter and grabbed my daughter by her wrist leaving two small bruises. I noticed the bruises the next day in the morning and went straight to the principal (Dr. Carilo) I told her everything that was going on she couldn't believe it and told me she would investigate and call me later. That same day Dr. Carillo questioned my daughter about the situation the principal intimidated my daughter and made her cry and told her she's the one coming to school she needs to fix her own problems and not involve the parents!!! I went straight to the cops and of course had to let the district know too! The principal and staff changed the story and stated my daughter got the bruising from the monkey bars which she doesn't play that and also stated that one of my daughters friends pushed her and made the bruises, and when the cops asked for the videos from the school cameras they stated the cameras didn't capture the location of where the incident happened. The case was dropped!

The administration at this school is fully aware of how poorly they've treated their staff. Instead of addressing the issues, they seem more focused on hiding the truth. For this matter my daughter will not enroll in this school. The front staff are so rude! They need to be trained on proper customer service. And the principal is rude as well. They all need better training! But what's done in the dark always finds its way to the light. To any parents considering this school please think twice. I went to this school from kindergarten through fifth grade and here are my thoughts. it's been…read moreyears since i've graduated but there's this thing that has been bugging me. when i went in to third grade, there was this thing during lunch called "silent time". we would have 15 minutes to talk to our friends while eating, then the last 15 minutes it NEEDED to be dead silent. we can't make eye contact or laugh with our friends if we wanted a full recess time. i get it the school wants children to focus on eating, but even if you're finished eating you can't even play rock paper scissors with your friends if you don't want to get in trouble. smile, not a full recess. what am i supposed to do when im finished eating, slump with my head down like a depressed child?? why couldn't i just be homeschooled if i didn't want to talk with my friends ?? Sure the education was pretty good until it came to the point where most of the good teachers left. i hope the new principal turns this school around.

Can you believe that! not to mention the principal at the time was very rude to myself and to other staff including parents! and I had to get my attorney involved! she than quickly shut-up and ignored me. But I think what I want to review the most is that other teachers are still scared to speak up about things. I was an rsed teacher at 3 of their San Jose schools, now I am a public school district employee and I belong to cta (california teachers association) and the benefits from my public school district are for more superior than anything that i had while working as a rocketship teacher. and by unionizing you can have more rights as public employees, because we all want the best. And the biggest benefit of belonging to a union is *tenure and job security. Just remember you cannot be fired for wanting to unionize. And this school and other San Jose RSED schools were threatening my freedom to speak and voice my concerns. anyhow while i was a teacher for rsed we were all sent an email from our ceo! about how *"unionizing prevents being able to accomplish our rocketship mission statement". i know now thats not true! what i was really being told was that the higher-ups didnt want me having a middle-man to protect me. its as simple as that. please know that i support what rocketship does for our children and their families! teaching at rsed were some of the best years of my teaching career. I fully support education but we are only human and we are all teachers who deserve protection, we all have the same goal and want only the best. but at the same time its important to think about our rights as public employees.

I will only talk about the baseball fields in the back of the school…read more The issues here is that the fields look exactly like they did when I was playing baseball years back, the field are full of weeds, which is what makes it look like the grass is on the baseball field. The dirt is one big kitty little box for all the neighborhood cats, which not only leaves all the poop, but I am sure all the pee. This is a great thing to be trying to teach the younger generation how to play baseball with all this out there. I know there is not much money in the school funds to keep up baseball fields, but let's be real there has to be something more than trying to pay people to do something they are not doing. I would like to see some extra money be put in to the up keep of the field nothing more. In the mean time, I will have my rake and shovel to help out from time to time to keep the field in good shape for playing.
