I hesitate to give this review because it means admitting that my constant contact with Summer has come to an end. Summer was one of three agents referred to us by my realtor-brother in San Francisco. My husband and I were looking for the "Just Right" property in Petaluma. Her introductory email sealed the deal; she admitted she didn't have loads of experience in raw land purchase, but also proved she had *lots* of area contacts and a 'go get 'em' attitude. Summer quickly learned that her role with us would be atypical and she totally rolled with it. There weren't a lot of options, but each parcel required in-depth research. Nothing was standard. Summer is a quick study, and was always there with the best expert to help us analyze the property; Conversations with The Well Guru, the Septic Guru, trips to the county records department, Legal Experts, and Environmental Experts made up our last few months together. We finally found a great place, though not in Petaluma, and not what we had originally had in mind. Summer made the whole process easier and more importantly she made it FUN! I am considering selling my home in Ross and downsizing. To support the analysis to make that decision I needed to do three things: 1. Choose a town in the Bay Area to relocate to 2. Choose a town in the Bay Area to relocate to I reached out to Heidi Rickerd-Rizzo who helped me buy our home in Ross. Heidi is the co-founder and co-owner of Terra Firma Global partners. She showed me what was available in Napa County, and connected me with her colleague, Summer Stubblefield, for Sonoma County, and to a friend for Contra Costa County. I chose Sonoma because of its proximity to sons and grandchildren. Summer introduced me to her town, Petaluma. She got me excited about her butcher, Thistle Meats; one of her organic vegetable sources, Green String, her artisan bread baker, Della Fattoria, her gym, Synergy Health Club; her favorite restaurants, and researched some horse boarding alternatives; and and and.... OK she SOLD me on Petaluma. 2. Identify the features I'm looking for in a house there and what it will cost. I used Terrafirma's website to set starting point parameters for #Bedrooms, # Baths and Listing Price and asked Summer to take me out to see the properties. As we went through each one I was able to identify what things were important to me by complaining what was missing. I learned that what I really liked was a single level, with a great kitchen, 4 bedrooms, a master with an en suite bathroom, and really like a "bonus room" that I could use for an office, and a sunny backyard, and having an interior that had "soul" which often translated to flow. I learned about East Petaluma and West Petaluma and city vs. country in the West. Most realtors want to know up front what I want so they can show it me. Summer was willing to invest the time to do it my way and discover what I liked and didn;t like. Now I'm a customer for life. 3. Identify the features that my bride is looking for in a house there and what it will cost. We learned that she wanted a living room and a dining room and tons of storage. Wood, not carpet on the floors, a classic exterior, and a certain size of rooms. And no bump leading to the garage and to hang her period overhead lamps. And thanks to Summer she discovered new places to lunch, and new places to shop. Summer sold me on Petaluma and has exceeded my expectations for a realtor. Now I know have a clear idea of what we do and don't want, Summer is able to line us up with places we'd like. I can't recommend her highly enough! Kudos to Heidi for establishing the right partnership for me. Most agents focus just on moving houses (and maybe some cookies). Summer focuses on moving a family to a place they love and creating a customer for life. I prefer the latter. read more

We just recently closed on a house with Summer's help.  Summer was our realtor for a year while we were looking for a home.  Our experience with her was top-notch, and if we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't hesitate to call her! Summer is on top of everything and is so easy to reach if there were any questions/concerns.  She was also patient with us since we weren't looking for any singular type of home or locale (we were going back and forth between Petaluma/Penngrove/Cotati), so it was hard for her to narrow in on the style/type/location.  Even so, not once did we feel as though she was pushing us towards any particular listing out of the many that we saw.  She has so much experience and is very well-connected in the area, so she was also very helpful and knowledgeable, and a great source for advice when the need arose! She is also very personable and genuine, and we felt she really cared and was rooting for us on our house hunting journey. However, what really resonated with us was when we finally did find "our" home.  Our closing date was around the same time as our baby's expected due date.  She helped us with setting up inspections and appraisals in a timely manner that worked around our delivery schedule, and even used her connections to pull some strings and got an electrician to come out to get some "must-have" electrical work done before we were able to move in, even though he was booked out months in advance!  Even better was that she was at the electrician's consultation appointment on our behalf as we were in labor!
