I met Michael years ago before he was a realtor through our kids, who were all in the same preschool. It had been years since we hung out, but my wife and I had a pretty good idea of who he is as a person and how he conducted himself and raised his family so we knew we wanted him to represent us. Michael is a very kind and enthusiastic person, he is extremely hard working and puts his soul into whatever he is doing. From sports, to art and to his profession he is someone that pays attention to detail and ultimately outcompetes the competition. I assumed Michael was good at his job but he exceeded my expectations. It was a pleasure to have him represent us and he was extremely useful in the sale of our home. I was having such a hard time starting the process. It was very overwhelming and he was pivotal in helping me with his calm demeanor, logical approach and confidence. His recommendations for the contractors always paid off. From the pest and home inspections, to the roof and gutters contractors, the painters, the HVAC or even the gardeners, there was always level of competency, a quick response time and they were fair priced and professional. Whenever I tried to get competing bids, there were delays and everyone was so busy it was difficult to get them to even show up. It made the whole process move along smoothly. There was never any issue of communication or anyone on his team. I have sold a couple of other properties and Michael did a better job than the previous realtors I have worked with and I would highly recommend anyone interested in buying or selling a property to consider him first. read more

I am so thankful to have worked with Michael this past month. He took what could have been a very intense stressful time (buying our first home, in a pandemic, with a newborn baby) and made it smooth and streamlined! Throughout the entire process he was incredibly patient, showing us multiple houses in our price range and alway accommodating our hectic schedules. He always was sure to include his expertise in a very genuine and helpful way. His knowledge of the different neighborhoods and relationships in the real estate industry helped him help us find our perfect home! read more

After changing careers and having children, our family decided to move into a mid term rental in Petaluma to get to know the area in hopes that we found it to be a place to set down some roots. Both sides of the family are close by and we wanted to be near as we grow our family. To get the kids out of the house, we had been checking out open houses on the weekend to get a boots on the ground feel to the housing market. As a amatuer real estate investor armed with some knowledge and experice I enjoyed meeting several realtors and hearing what they had to say about the market and just simply getting to know them. The one that set himself apart from the rest was Michael Murphree of Compass. While showing an open house we visited, we got to talking and hit it off. He came across as a knowledgeable and experienced real estate professional with data driven objective views on the market and honest, friendly, and low pressure demeanor. Not planning on making a purchase for at least a year, I took his info, shook hands and left. Surprisingly we came across a listing that looked like a perfect fit and my wife and I decided to go for it. Of the 10-15 realtors we had spoken to, I immediately thought of Michael and we went from there. He provided professional guidance to a family, and as an investor himself, a business approach to the transaction. He was able to help strategize and negotiate on what became a competative property. As a people first type of person, he gained our trust and respect and utlimately worked to secure the dream house our family had been looking for at a more than fair price. Through this experience I think it is safe to say we gained not only a valuable real estate ally, but also a friendship we hope to foster well into the future. Thanks Michael! read more

Michael Murphree is the best! My wife and I relocated to Petaluma from San Diego. This was a very stressful time in our lives. Michael made buying a home in a new city seem simple. He was with us every step of the way, answered all our calls and texts, and explained the process so we could understand and feel at ease. He got our offer accepted, which in this market is short of a miracle! We trust Michael to represent our interests, so much so that we referred him to our parents to buy their home. If you need a realtor to buy or sell, I strongly recommend Michael. read more

My partner and I are first time home buyers and were in and out of the home search process for well over 6 months before we were referred to Michael through a colleague. From the get-go, Michael was supportive of our search efforts without pushing us through the process any faster than what we were ready to move. Michael was extremely responsive and willing to coach us through the process and provide advice and immense expertise when we were finally ready to make an offer. I can honestly say that we would not have landed our absolute dream home if it weren't for the help and support of Michael. The home buying process is emotionally exhausting, but having a realtor like Michael mentor us through the process was truly a blessing. Thank you, Michael!! read more

Michael was the absolute best to work with when it came to selling our house. It was wonderful to work with Michael. He helped us sell our home during the whole COVID-19 crisis when the shelter in place was just mandated. He is a very invested real estate agent from the moment you make contact with him all the way to the closing of your home. He gave us input and suggestions of how and what needed to be fixed - things one does not even see because one is familiar with the house. Just before we were supposed to close with the new owners the bathroom upstairs sprung a leak. He helped us find a plumber within two days the problem was fixed and he had already people lined up to refinish the drywall and repaint it. This was a lifesaver, we were able to deliver a home that was immaculate and with everything working. I have to say he makes a stressful time less stressful. He is professional, caring, and has a great sense of humor. read more

My husband and I were in the process of beginning our search for our first home, and couldn't have been more lucky when we met Michael at one of the first open houses we visited. Not only was Michael incredibly attentive and supportive of the seemingly huge endeavor we were about to embark on, he reached out to us after that first open house to check in and see how our search was coming along. At our first meeting with Michael, he explained the ins and outs of the current housing market, was attentive and encouraging when it came to the type of home we were looking for, and sent us a daily list of available properties. When we found our dream home, Michael moved the process along quickly, keeping us up to date every step of the way, and making time for us even while on vacation. Thanks to Michael's hard work and perseverance, we got the house! As many people know, buying a home is a lengthy, emotional process. Michael was available for us to answer any and all questions in a very timely manner, and worked diligently with both us and the sellers to keep our best interests at heart, while maintaining a positive and professional relationship with them. We couldn't have asked for a better realtor than we found in Michael. We trust him wholeheartedly with this process and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to become a first time home buyer, or those who have been through this process before. Michael went above and beyond what we ever expected in a realtor, and his passion for finding the right home for the right buyer is evident in both his level of expertise and his ability to connect on a personal level. read more
