Once I signed her lease for Idora Ave she refused to buy a new fridge even though ours had smelled rancid and she said we would figure it out (dead rat was later found stuck beneath fridge) so we had to buy OWN FRIDGE and THEN she made us wait a MONTH before buying us a new stove because ours not only had a gas leak but eventually stopped working all in all :) I lost tons of weight and was eating a nasty amount of fast food, also made the air fryer work even thought it caused power surges. We soon found the unit had rats in the ceiling, bad electrical- and i'm talking one breaker switch to power EVERY room in the house including kitchen & living room- plumbing issues with tree roots in tiny corroded pipes shared with the other unit, mold in the garage with no assist to even open it (takes a very strong man or 2 people to lift the door up- my back hated that thing) I sent her many letters regarding these issues from the start of my stay there , in return (after my 2nd mailed letter and many texts) she gave notice to move cars she said we could keep on the property ... 3 day notice that is - she waited until I paid one last rental payment before serving me A NON RENEWAL LETTER basically saying to leave on or before lease end date because I didn't move the cars. BS right ????? Law breaker at its finest . Glad i'm out of there and not giving her a single penny. Oh and yes I still paid a FULL AMOUNT OF RENT on time each month :)

Moved into an apartment in May of 2015 as she was literally the only place I could rent from. Dealt…read morewith the rat apocalypse of 2017 (ended up fixing all the holes myself even in a foot cast after ankle surgery), tried to get her to reimburse me for the 300 dollars of food the rats ate was told thats what renters insurance is for. Had our toilet back up into our apartment and had to clean up the mess after the plumber left as she didnt pay for them to clean it. Upstairs toilet started leaking on us (nice sitting to use the bathroom and having toilet water leaking on you) and it took a few months for her to send someone to fix it (first time they didnt even check the upstairs toilet to see why it was leaking just fixed our ceiling) again we had to clean up the mess left by them tearing down the ceiling as well as throw everything away as it was covered in not only ceiling but human excretement. Had the same thing happen months later and they FINALLY fixed the toilet upstairs (mind you after the neighbors finally let them in to check it out). Had to move out last year as the apartment we lived in as well as the apartment above had MAJOR structural damage. In August I applied for assistance from the state for rental assistance as being on a fixed income I couldnt afford the fees to find a new apartment and pay her at the same time, and was still waiting at the time of my move out at the beginning of October for her to submit her info so it was approved (it was finally approved this year months after I had moved out of state and she finally applied herself for the same program on my behalf). Due to this I knew I wouldnt get a good review and with the cost of rent doubling and tripling in Cali I had to move out of state with family (mind you its so much better then what I had to live in at her place) She was not in town when I left so there was no final walkthrough. I am still waiting as of this writing for her reasoning on keeping my full deposit and now she has me blocked on both email and phone and refuses to give me my deposit back. I have not received anything from her with regards to why she feels entitled to 1500 dollars. Now I live in another state and do not have the means to fight her in court to get my money back and she knows it. She is known to keep the deposits and force you to go to court to get them back. I have not known anyone in the entire time I lived there to actually get their deposit or even a partial deposit back from her without a court fight.
