The staff has also been wonderful with our daughter. They engage her in areas of interests (like star wars!) and then draw her into the lessons with ease. Though she does not like school our daughter loves coming to her "pace" appointments. We saw small benefits of the treatments and lessons very quickly and continue to see a gradual and steady improvement in her areas of need. Her teacher at school has also noticed the changes. Also, turns out that there was a miscommunication with Kaiser. They only do hearing tests, not testing for Central Auditory Processing Disorder. So, I am going to go to my alma mater Sac State for CAPD testing for $200.00 rather than the $750.00 the woman Carol Hess recommend. Our daughter completed a competency test so they could see what level she was performing at. From there they reviewed a plan to not only bring her up to her grade level but advance it. It was an 8-month program and after the first month we saw significant improvement. They worked alongside her teachers. They had fun challenges and reward that made her have a love for learning. It's clean, modern, well lit, and the people are friendly. Occasionally a group of loud annoying people show up to hang out and make noise, but on average it's a great place to study. I've noticed some complaints on Yelp about the quality of the education. I went to a private school for my undergrad degree and it was academically challenging. My graduate degree (MBAM) at UOP is *hard.* Fortunately, the school provides tutors in many areas, and I've had great experiences with them. You also have the option of taking a class locally if you are in the online program which I am in. This is great for students like me who prefer lectures when taking math-related courses. I wish I took Statistics locally but you know what they say about hindsight. I love the flexibility of online education but it requires a lot of self-motivation. The only reason I left a star off my review is that the Elk Grove learning center doesn't have any math tutors which are the ones I need. I drive to the Gateway Oaks learning center for my math tutoring.
