He is very empathetic and kind and gentle with his students, and I would find myself listening in on the class, just because he was so sweet and funny and so very kind. If he was offering tutoring services here in San Francisco, both of my children would be enrolled. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him as a person and as a teacher.

Sending him to Keeping Pace was like opening a door that had been closed for ages, and when the light and fresh air comes in, it is just the best feeling! I had been struggling with my son for quite some time, and he has always worked very hard. In recent years, schoolwork became so frustrating for him that there would be tearful battles on a near daily basis. He still works hard, and he still gets frustrated. Also, turns out that there was a miscommunication with Kaiser. They only do hearing tests, not testing for Central Auditory Processing Disorder. So, I am going to go to my alma mater Sac State for CAPD testing for $200.00 rather than the $750.00 the woman Carol Hess recommend. Big savings for something my daughter probably doesn't have anyway.

It's clean, modern, well lit, and the people are friendly. Occasionally a group of loud annoying people show up to hang out and make noise, but on average it's a great place to study. I've noticed some complaints on Yelp about the quality of the education. I went to a private school for my undergrad degree and it was academically challenging. My graduate degree (MBAM) at UOP is *hard.* Fortunately, the school provides tutors in many areas, and I've had great experiences with them. You also have the option of taking a class locally if you are in the online program which I am in. This is great for students like me who prefer lectures when taking math-related courses. I wish I took Statistics locally but you know what they say about hindsight. I love the flexibility of online education but it requires a lot of self-motivation. The only reason I left a star off my review is that the Elk Grove learning center doesn't have any math tutors which are the ones I need. I drive to the Gateway Oaks learning center for my math tutoring.

Other than location, the only thing I don't like about this place is that the kids walk to the park during the day and in the summer time, it's super hot and this is probably why I won't put my 4 year old here this year. We'll just have my son come here in the summer. During the school year, I understand they have before/after school and they will drive the kids/pick up the kids. Moore's uses an app to check in and out. I got so many adorable pictures of my girl throughout the day with updates on what she was doing and what she ate that made me feel at ease. Ms. Yasmeen is the assistant director, always at the site. She is so sweet and helpful. She loves the kids, always getting them little trinkets for special occasions and helping out in all areas. Moore's curriculum is very organized with themes changing each month like space, sea animals, cooking, and so on. The art is actually made by the students themselves to encourage creativity. By the end, my girl was drawing her whole family on many of the art projects she brought back. Quite a bit of focus on handwriting as well, which I appreciated. The kiddos get an abundance of playtime outside with all the cool obstacles and activities they have out there. We're really happy with our time at Moore so far with my 2 year old. At previous schools we'd get…read morenonstop phone calls about him not staying on his mat during nap, not handling transitions well, not interacting with kids the same way other kids do, playing with the dirt or bark too much while outside, etc. The teachers at Moore have done a beautiful job meeting him where he's at and providing an environment that lets him be himself while still learning how to be in a class environment. From day 1 with Moore we noticed a big difference. He's much more regulated, he actually naps (!!!), he's made friends and he genuinely enjoys going to school each day. The app allows for direct communication with his teacher if needed and we get updates all day on what he's up to. The teachers are friendly but still firm with the kids when needed which is great. They do a ton of activities including learning numbers, letters, their names, doing sensory activities, practicing fine and gross motor skills, etc. Moore isn't going to be your standard daycare center with pristine rooms and strict schedules. They're a daycare center with a home daycare feel. My son often comes home covered in dirt with shoes full of sand and we LOVE it. We like that you can tell the kids have played all day because it means they got to be kids.

The early introduction to these skills continue on to help prepare for kindergarten. We decided to keep our kids at Harvest House until they started kindergarten, and credit the curriculum and dedication they set in place of reading, sight words, and math to setting them up for success. My 8 and 5 yr old progressed at different paces but both felt more confidence going into kindergarten. In the eight years we have been with them they haven't been closed outside the Holidays and Vacation days outlined at the beginning of the year, providing us working parents with the reliability and stability needed. We have been a part of Mathnasium of Elk Grove for a year now. My daughter, who was in 4th grade at the time of enrollment, wasn't struggling in math, however, with the new common core math program, we as parents were struggling with helping. Luckily for us, Mathnasium has been able to keep my daughter up to speed, which provides us with much relief at the end of each day. Mathnasium will also help your child prepare for a test, help with homework and spend the time to help the child if they are not fully comfortable with how to solve a problem. The harder the child works, the greater the reward can be. Great incentives for the children! The staff has been wonderful. They help take what could be a scary and difficult subject, and turn it in to a positive experience for the child. Heather (the owner), has been so great! She makes the effort to check in with the parents, gets to know the child and has a great open door policy. She is very personable, which we appreciate tremendously! My Daughter has struggled in math ever since elementary school and is now a Junior in High School. We have tried many different tutors over the years to include the very expense learning centers without significant improvement. She started Mathnasium in August right when school started. She goes on average 3-4 times a week. We were ecstatic when she got her first B on a math test... Then the A's followed. She ended with an 89% for the Semester and will be striving for that A in the Spring. Both my sons have been regularly attending Mathnasium. My older son for 2 1/2 years and my younger son for 2 years. Although neither have struggled in math, coming here has strengthened their skills and given them absolute confidence . There is a lack of cultural diversity as I am one of the only Indian moms here. I get weird stares from the workers and the manager as everyone is Caucasian. Very upsetting and my child gets weird glances for bringing his fresh curry in a metal Batman tin. read more

Math has always been his favorite subject, so I wanted to find something that would challenge him and nurture that passion. From the first visit, he loved it. He actually love the center more than his math class at school. The atmosphere is welcoming and positive, and the tutors are incredibly patient and kind. They know how to make learning fun while still keeping it structured and challenging. That balance is so important at this age. What I really appreciate is how they start with a placement test and create a customized learning plan. It's not random worksheets; it's intentional. They truly map out how to strengthen foundations and build confidence step by step. We signed up for two sessions a week, but they gave us extra 1 sessions (optional to join) but my son asked to go three times because he enjoys it that much. To me, that says everything. If your child loves math or even struggles with it, I highly recommend checking them out. Strong math foundations early on can make a huge difference later, and I believe this is an investment that's absolutely worth it. They help kids from K-12. So grateful we found a place that makes learning exciting instead of just screen time.
