My husband enjoyed his brisket breakfast burrito while I would proudly say the ham and cheddar croissant is waaaay better than starbucks. So, why the 3* rating? I would say the cafe is geared specifically for coffee lovers and for maaaybe, young people or single folks in general. There is unfortunately one item in the kids menu that my toddler and I personally didn't enjoy. The coffee itself is good and better for coffee connoisseurs but definitely not for everyone. Oklahoma summer moon is a terrible representation for summer moon in Texas. The coffee is consistently cold- it's embarrassing. You can ask for extra hot and they will tell you some random temperature "oh it's 180, can't go higher than that." But it's not even lukewarm still. I love Summer Moon's signature Moon Milk. We found Summer Moon in Frisco, TX a few years back and always try to stop by whenever we are in the Dallas area. I was over-the-moon when I learned the Summer Moon brand was coming to OKC...even though they were a bit of a drive out to Yukon. Moon Milk is their proprietary sweet cream inspired ingredient which when added to their fire roasted coffee is liquid gold. I'm a "black-no-cream-no-sugar" kinda coffee drinker. I'm not big into sweet coffee drinks. Drinks at the most recognizable coffee shop across the country are usually too sweet for me. When going to Summer Moon for the 1st time I wasn't sure I was going to be able to find a drink that had the right balance. I have found the Quarter Winter Moon Iced Latte is the sweet spot for me. Good lattes, although be careful when you order from here. This is the 3rd time they've gotten my order wrong in the past couple of weeks. After making my order online, when I got to the window, the girl tried to hand me the wrong order. I told her I had an online order for an iced latte and she said, "Oh for Tamara right?" and slammed the window before I could correct her. Then, she spent an extra 5 minutes (after I waited for 10 min in line) making Tamara's drink and came back to give it to me. I told her it was wrong and my name is Misti. She then said, "Oh I thought you said Tamara?" I said, "No. YOU are the one that said Tamara." The sweet cream may be almond, oat or coconut milk. We retired 3 versions and the amount of moon milk may vary. You may want to start with less and add more inside is this is possible. My sugar cookie was tasty but had almond extract which I love but my mom hates. The summer moon is a hot winter moon. They were a little busy when I got there, so the manager took my order. I had a 1/2 winter moon latte. The half-moon means that the drink will be 1/2 sweet, whereas a quarter moon will be 1/4 sweet. It was a smooth, well-rounded, creamy, rich cup of coffee, with subtle notes of cinnamon and chocolate. However, the coffee had a bitter aftertaste. This review is purely based on my drive-through experience. First time here and we were able to figure out what we wanted to drink from their website before we pulled up to order. The line was maybe 4 or 5 cars long but it went very fast. Less than 5 minutes or so from when we ordered to when we got our coffee. My husband got an iced 1/2 moon latte with 2 sugar free vanilla pumps and 2 sugar free hazelnut pumps and I ordered an iced 1/4 moon latte with 3 sugar free vanilla pumps. His was correct (and DELISH) but they gave me a 1/2 moon instead. It was very sweet (sweeter than I usually like) but so so so good. The guy at the window who gave us our order was very friendly and worked fast. For reference on sweetness of the moon milk lattes: I would compare a 1/2 moon to the sweetness level of a vanilla latte with 2 extra pumps of syrup at starbucks. We will definitely be back!
