Summer has extensive knowledge of the body. She is so thorough and takes excellent care of both me and my husband. We have attended her yoga classes, both have had massage and cupping. This review is for Summer Greenlees. When my wife was wrapping up her first trimester, she sat me down and told me that she'd like to go through childbirth naturally. As a guy, this went against every instinct, noting that I'd prefer a c-section or to be "numbed from the nose down". Understanding that my support for this decision was a must, immediately I told her to find a doula. Soon later, my wife met with and enlisted Summer Greenlees' help. Her services included [but are not limited to] pregnancy massage, water massage, breathing exercises, aromatherapy and [of course] an active presence in labor & delivery. Fast forward to the third trimester, this is when I met Summer and one of her protégés for the first time. I was immediately struck by Summer's calming presence and uplifting personality-- even her laugh relieves tension! A few weeks later was our due date, but we had that time to practice techniques as a couple in preparation. I'd also like to note that while natural labor is encouraged as the ultimate goal, Summer both understands and acknowledges that epidurals and the like are additional tools in our belt rather than great evils or instruments of failure. When finally in the labor & delivery room, Summer was there from the first moments, setting the stage with calming music, scents that had already shown to calm my wife, foot & shoulder massage, etc. As labor intensified and I locked up with anxiety, she helped to include me with suggestions of what would be most helpful. Without her, I most likely would have remained isolated and closed off when my wife needed me the most. Whatever I paid Summer for her services, I assure you that it was worth much more than that just to have her there. If not for Summer and April (who was present and instrumental in the final stretch of delivery), I would not be able to look back at that moment with fond memories. Their calming energies and positivity helped my wife succeed physically and me emotionally. Getting a doula is a good decision. Choosing Summer makes it a great one. read more

If you have never done watsu, do it! This was my first time and Summer was super informative and helped me feel safe and comfortable.

Summer provides a soothing and relaxing massage that leaves you feeling exceptionally invigorated. The combination of yoga and massage is very beneficial in working out tension and sore muscles. I met her post baby when she was a gifted teacher at yoga Yoga, but now she is working at Sundara Yoga Therapy up off 183/ Oak Knoll. Summer is an amazing bodywork professional. I've been going to Summer (massage, watsu, doula services) since 2013, and I cannot overstate how important her work has been for my well being. I had been to a countless number of chiropractors, physical therapists and massage therapists for my chronic back pain (sciatica) before I met Summer, and I'm glad to say my search ended here. She listens, both to you, and to your body, and treats problem areas holistically. I had a prenatal massage with her and it was AMAZING. It was my second prenatal massage, and I thought the first one was pretty darn good but this one blew it away. She did a guided meditation as part of the massage that was really beautiful, and also as I was a few days shy of 40 weeks did acupressure to help induce. I gave birth a few days later on my due date! Anyway, HIGHLY recommend her, and I can imagine that she is an amazing doula and yoga teacher as well. read more

Doula, massage therapist and yoga leader. Summer is a perinatal specialist that does infant massage as well as mother prep and recovery. She has lately been exploring embodiment yoga. I am not exactly sure what that is, but I'm sure she would be glad to explain it to you. I use summer for her exquisite massages. THEY DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS. Summer Greenlees is an amazing, multi-talented, incredibly intuitive, and holistic practitioner! She was my doula, prenatal massage therapist, and post-natal yoga teacher. Her attentiveness and instinct for the needs of her clients is bar none! During my pregnancy, I had a lot of back pain, tension, and anxiety. I can sincerely say that every session with Summer, whether it was a massage or doula service, gave me such calm and relief. I attended my sessions with confidence that she would be there to meet both my physical and emotional health. On one occasion, I believed that I was going into labor, and I called her frantically in the middle of the early morning. Since it was my first pregnancy, I was scared and overly anxious. When Summer arrived not too long after my call, she immediately put me at ease with a diversity of healing techniques. She even took care of my husband's questions and helped to support him , so that he could better support me. During my labor, she instilled confidence and assurance that I had everything that I needed to get through the experience with grace and ease!
