The property is beautiful, horses are clearly well cared for, and the ride was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Do note that you likely won't have cell phone service out there but there is wi-fi if you need GPS directions to leave. Prices were very reasonable too! Would definitely recommend for a nice way to spend an afternoon while you're in the area.

They will all teach you more than you can possibly learn anywhere else. Trail Rides are also great never a complaint there. The best thing about RREC is the passion and commitment to what they do and who they are. No one stands alone. Not only is it a team it's a family. Giving it 100 plus stars.

With my experience level, we were able to do decent bursts of cantering uphill, and Waffles has quite the motor for a draft! there is such a variety of horses and sizes that there is likely a personality to fit any person (within reason). on the hilltop boogie ride, the farm we passed through was beautiful and it was fun to see the other animals. The trails were beautiful as well, with red-tailed hawks soaring overhead, bucks leering at us warily through the trees, and various other critters to spot from the trail. All the staff was friendly, sharing jokes and quips before and after the ride when we passed by. The solo fee is extremely reasonable, as was the price of the ride itself. For those who haven't experienced it, the creek crossing would be fun! I guide beginner trail rides for work in Pennsylvania, and I learned a few helpful tricks and ideas to implement over there. I can confidently recommend this facility, and Zoe as a guide!

So be sure and take the time to let them know in the online questionnaire how you are with horses and riding. I'm a confident rider and got a great horse for me where my husband isn't as confident rider and he was paired with a sweet easy going horse, Faye. Actually all the horses are sweet and wonderful. We did a one hour trail ride. The trail was fun - not too challenging and we even got to stop by a beautiful creek so the horses could take a drink. It's absolutely magical & no better way to see the beauty of this region. Now the horses: They are all beautiful, very healthy and thus happy. This is basic care for any animal. This facility is falsely advertised. I was very disappointed to say the least. I didn't care so much that it was over grown with weeds and dirty floors as I was looking for BASIC care, hat, grain, and turnout. I didn't receive. The owners come across as knowledgeable and very caring, however, this is NOT the case. Owners would prep the facility when they knew you were coming out so that it looked nice. Meanwhile, stalls not bedded, no hay given, no nothing. It wasn't until I made myself very present and at different times of the day that I noticed what really goes on. It's all an act, and at the horses expense! Barn owners talk a good talk, flat out lie to you about everything. But, if you are a knowledgeable horse person, look at the condition of the horses under barn owners direct care! It's awful that the rescue horses come in and look better when they first arrive, then they do after being there for some time. Everyone is losing weight, dehydration is huge there because of the lack of either clean water troughs or water supply at all. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. It doesn't take much to provide the basics, but any true animal lover knows how to feed and water any animal. This is elementary care. Please look elsewhere for your fur baby.
