The bathroom appeared to be the only area that had been thoroughly cleaned. The BEDROOMS and several other areas had a HEAVY BUILDUP OF DUST in places that should have been addressed before our arrival. We also found items and REMNANTS FROM PREVIOUS GUEST left behind in drawers, which gave us the impression that the apartment had not been carefully inspected between stays. There were also maintenance concerns. The wheels on the sliding screen door were visibly rusted, and the screen eventually came off the track during our stay. MOST CONCERNING, one of the guests staying in the bedroom closest to the front door experienced multiple bites that appeared consistent with BED BUGS. While the location and check-in experience were positive, the cleanliness, maintenance, and possible pest issue overshadowed those positives. The property would benefit greatly from a thorough deep cleaning, a more detailed inspection between guests, and immediate attention to the bedroom where the bites occurred.

Our main grievance was the mold in the bathroom baseboard and outside the bathroom in the hallway . The closet door in the hallway came off as we opened it . There are so many slats missing from the blinds in main bedroom on door to balcony that there may as well not be any on it. I complained to Rebecca in the Long and Foster office at the Plaza. I emailed Marlene (our rental agent) the second day there. to no avail. I also complained to Sandy in the office. I am sure these issues were advised by previously renters. Rebecca also confirmed that the cleaners "had not made it" to our room to clean it. The bathroom was disgusting with urine stains and hair on the rim. The free Wi-Fi was spotty at best It has soured our minds as to booking at the Plaza in the future or even with Long and Foster ever again.

As soon as you walk into #1501 you can feel the strong sense of pride in ownership of this unit. The owner is meticulous and organized and has gone above and beyond to make sure his/her visitors are comfortable. The until is not completely updated but has been well maintained over the years. The furnishings and decorations in the unit are ones I would have chosen and we loved the shutters in the bedrooms. The beds were also very comfortable! We felt very safe and comfortable in #1501 with our children. There are child locks on all the cabinets and step stools available as well. You can tell the owner has thought through everything. Everything is labeled and there are even pictures to show where everything goes. I hope that one day I can be this organized! The owner includes internet access and has all the info posted on a bulletin board in the unit. There is also a welcome packet and extra supplies of random things if you forgot something. The only issues we had with the unit (and why I took off one star) is the microwave is old and didn't work well. There were instructions posted on top since it is old, and I did follow them. The kitchen and bathrooms could use updating but are functional. The water wasn't heating up in the second bathroom so we just used the master but the drain cover was not attached so we had to be careful with the kids. As for the Quay directly, all the staff was very friendly and welcoming to myself and my family. We did not get to use all the facilities so I cannot speak to those. The view and location of The Quay is perfect and we had no issues with parking. Overall we enjoyed our stay at The Quay #1501 and would definitely return if the opportunity arises. The Carousel is in a good location, with great views, in walkable Ocean City. You can see, and can…read morewalk right on to OC's beautiful beach. The boardwalk is beyond walking distance, so you will have to drive and pay to park there, or buy a bus pass. Still, there are other attractions in the immediate area. We stayed in Condo 602, at a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo on the 6th floor of the Carousel. The living room and master bedroom have fantastic ocean views. The master has a king bed, the second two queen beds, and the third 2 singles, so it sleeps 6 comfortably and children can share the beds in the second bedroom. The beds in this particular condo were firm and comfortable. The condo is great for families, extended families, three couples, and groups of friends, but not cost efficient for just one couple. For groups of at least four, the number this condo accommodates makes it as cost efficient as you can get in the current market. We were three couples who are friends. The couple who took the master bedroom paid more of the bill than the other two. You can also walk to a Food Lion supermarket right across the street, and to a range of restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped. You can cook from scratch, store food, and supplement a takeout order, thus making dining over a week-long vacation convenient and cost efficient. The common area is enough room for a group of people to hang out in. There is an open plan with kitchen, dining area and living room, plus a furnished balcony that runs the length of the entire condo (living room and master bedroom). You can access the balcony from both rooms. The east-facing windows are floor to ceiling, comprising the entire eastern exposure. This adds to the ambiance and provides a great ocean view. You can sit at a picnic table on the bay-side deck. You can watch the sun set in the west if you get tired of looking at the ocean in the east. There are negative reviews that note that the Carousel is older and noisy, but most of the these relate to the hotel rooms rather than the condos. I read that the lower hotel portion is noisy with various activities going on, but the 6th floor is above all that. Still, there are some caveats: The hotel is boisterous and seems geared for families with children, but not for romantic get-aways. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms lack views, unlike the master, which has an ocean view. The internet is slow. During busy times, the elevators get busy. We occasionally walked down 5 flights. The boardwalk is beyond walking distance, so you will have to drive or buy a bus pass. Still, the Carousel is a good base of operations for a beach vacation. The 3-bedroom condo on the 6th floor at the Carousel was convenient, comfortable and as cost efficient as you can get in the current market. If we can get another group together, we will happily return.

The view was absolutely incredible and made waking up every morning worth it. The only downside was that there are only two elevators for the condos, so there could be a wait during busy times. Was there some sand on the carpet? Yes-but you're staying at the beach, so that's to be expected. The hotel is definitely showing its age, but it was clean enough for us, and every employee we interacted with was friendly, kind, and accommodating. We also appreciated that towels were available at both the indoor and outdoor pools, and having the indoor ice skating rink was a fun bonus, especially for families. If you're looking for a luxury, newly renovated resort, this probably isn't it. Also it's a drive to the boardwalk. But if you want an affordable beachfront stay in a fantastic location with great views and friendly staff, the Carousel is absolutely worth considering. We'd stay again.

That said, during the week of September 7, 2025, there was a deeply unpleasant incident with renters on the third floor. A family staying there was loudly screaming racial slurs. It was disturbing, offensive, and completely out of line with the spirit of the Capri. Incidents like this not only make residents and guests uncomfortable, but they also harm the reputation of the building. Management should take a hard look at screening and rental policies to prevent situations like this from happening again. The Capri deserves better, and the people who call it home take pride in keeping it a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly place. Overall, I love this community and everything it offers, but I hope the necessary steps are taken so that everyone's experience continues to reflect the best of what the Capri has to offer.

The blinds in the living room and dining room were missing or thrown behind the couch, there's exposed wiring in both bathrooms upstairs, there's no toilet paper holder rolls in any of the bathrooms, and multiple other things within the condo were broken or were overall damaged. My family and I tried to contact the local team at Capri about it, and either they wouldn't come fix it, would respond at 3AM, or would literally offer duct tape as a solution to fix blinds. If you're looking for a condo or hotel to stay at Ocean City, MD, DO NOT stay at this one!
