We had a wonderful stay at the Quay recently! We stayed on the 20th floor. The woman in the office was very helpful and quick when it came to checking in. We had to purchase a second car pass and that also was very easy to do. Our condo was very clean and decorated so nice! We had two bedrooms, one had two beds. Easy access to the beach and a pool were definitely major bonuses for us! There was a cute little convenient store, CJ's, that also served food. This was the second time I've stayed at the Quay and it does not disappoint! I recommend the Quay for your next Ocean City booking. read more

This review is directly related to our experience in unit 1501. We were a bit nervous about our stay after viewing some of the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised with our stay at The Quay. As soon as you walk into #1501 you can feel the strong sense of pride in ownership of this unit. The owner is meticulous and organized and has gone above and beyond to make sure his/her visitors are comfortable. The until is not completely updated but has been well maintained over the years. The furnishings and decorations in the unit are ones I would have chosen and we loved the shutters in the bedrooms. The beds were also very comfortable! We felt very safe and comfortable in #1501 with our children. There are child locks on all the cabinets and step stools available as well. You can tell the owner has thought through everything. Everything is labeled and there are even pictures to show where everything goes. I hope that one day I can be this organized! The owner includes internet access and has all the info posted on a bulletin board in the unit. There is also a welcome packet and extra supplies of random things if you forgot something. The only issues we had with the unit (and why I took off one star) is the microwave is old and didn't work well. There were instructions posted on top since it is old, and I did follow them. The kitchen and bathrooms could use updating but are functional. The water wasn't heating up in the second bathroom so we just used the master but the drain cover was not attached so we had to be careful with the kids. As for the Quay directly, all the staff was very friendly and welcoming to myself and my family. We did not get to use all the facilities so I cannot speak to those. The view and location of The Quay is perfect and we had no issues with parking. Overall we enjoyed our stay at The Quay #1501 and would definitely return if the opportunity arises. The room looked very nice in the photos but once we got there, there was so many dirty and broken things . The bed broke, which was only being held up by one small wooden board. We stayed in Unit 1804. Never again. After getting all kinds of emails from Coldwell Banker about all the extra cleaning happening on high touch surfaces, we felt confident to try the Quay this year. The entry from the parking lot is a total turn off.. dirty walls and floors, beat up entry doors. Headed upstairs. Hallway carpet is dirty and probably 35 years old. Door handles, key plates and knobs looked like they hadn't been cleaned in 5 years. So much for extra attention to high touch surfaces. The unit itself was not what it appeared in pictures. VERY dated, lavender stained laminate countertop, stained white sink, dried food in the sink and countertops and same on bedroom dresser top. We used almost a whole roll of paper towels cleaning I'm the first hour of arrival. Dust everywhere as if it was not cleaned at all before our arrival. Couch was new and leather, so was clean. Chair in the living room was wicker and super dirty (nasty stains) as was the kitchen stool. Bathroom tile was moldy and dirty. Game room was musty and stuffy, multiple games took our money without playing the game. Management office could care less. Told us to call the number on the machine. No response; never got our money back. Pool was fine but had zero shade and had reduced hours per COVID, but after arriving in the afternoon to swim, we were there 20 minutes and they did a chemical test, then announced that the pool wouldn't be open rest of the day. Super annoying when you pay extra for a place with a pool. Stay elsewhere. read more

Unit on 9th floor - This was the worst experience I have ever had staying anywhere. Although the unit looks beautiful online, the pictures do not show the true condition of the unit. It could be a very nice condo, but the bathroom was so disgusting we couldn't even use the shower, mold, dirt. Disgusting . The bed made you feel like you were on a waterbed, it did feel better once they sent someone to come in and repair the broken bed, but it was still not acceptable as something you charge people to use. The person who said they cleaned, may have walked through and "straightened up", but they did not clean. We advise you to visit the unit before you stay, the building is in need of repair on the bottom floor, grocery carts are your mode of transportation to move your luggage from your car to your unit. Although it is a good location, it is not in any condition to rent to anyone. read more

We recently stayed in unity 2509 in the Quay, and paid $3500 for 1 week. our friends were in 2503 and it was BEAUTIFUL, and the price was not much different. 2509 is a total dump. Not only is it (and everything in it) extremely old, it is FILTHY and in terrible condition. The carpet is extremely stained. Outlets don't work and several were hanging out of the wall. The bathrooms are FILTHY. The furniture is all falling apart and stained. The plaster on the walls is all cracked and the paint is peeling. The only 2 nice things about this unit are the view (amazing) and the counter top in the kitchen. Whoever set the price for this unit should be ashamed of themselves. We had to cover all of the furniture with sheets, and the dining room table was so filthy, I wouldn't let my kids sit there! Do not waste your money!!! read more

We stayed here about 5 years ago and had a nice experience. This time wasn't horrible but the building has not be kept up very well at all. Our room had some nice upgrades in the bathrooms and kitchen, but the carpets were stained. The walls were beat up and one spot had some patch work done to it. The TV in one bedroom didn't work, and the remote was missing from the other. The game room had the same games in it from 5 years ago and half of them didn't work right. This place could be so Mich more then what it is. Our room was ocean front and it could have been a really nice experience. Unfortunately the lack of maintenance outshined the view. We more then likely will not stay here again, unless they get some new management to start caring about the building. read more

Came back to OC for lax tournement and decided to try the Quay again. Much nicer condo this time, and an all around better experience. The security team seemed a lot more organized for arrival day and the little store on the 2nd floor had the things we needed (solo cups). The elevators are an issue during prime time so had opted to take the stairs down 9 floors several times...good workout (taking the glass half full approach here). read more

We stayed in unit 2007, renting through Long & Foster. The only reason I am even giving this place one star is because it is ocean front and the view is amazing and the building staff were friendly and helpful. This owner charges high end of the scale, we paid nearly $3,000 for only 5 nights, yet puts NOTHING into it. Do not rent here. We have been renting on at the shore for over 20 years mainly with Coldwell Banker, who always provided us with amazing rentals. I have to say that the standards of what is acceptable as rental is NIGHT AND DAY. I can not believe that Long & Foster rents units like this. The unit was grossly misrepresented, what a HOLE! Here is the list...and I will start by saying that this owner puts no money or thought into the condo they rent. For what what's being charged it should be properly maintained and set up. 1. The place is filthy 2. None of the blinds are complete or work properly, why, because they are the cheapest grade available. Nothing like the piercing sun in your eyes EVERY MORNING AT SUNRISE!!! 3. BEDS ARE SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE. So I guess the glaring sun wasn't too much of a problem because NO ONE could get a comfortable night's sleep anyway. So instead of being refreshed from vacation, we were all exhausted and couldn't wait to get home to our own beds. 4. Sleep sofas... you've got to be kidding me, has this owner ever laid on them? The kids had to take the cushions off of them and sleep on the floor or sleep in the chair. 5. General disrepair of condo and furnishings. Twin bed in back bedroom leg broken and slanting, thats super comfortable. Shower door in master was made worse after visit from maintenance. And the air conditioner did not work properly. 6. Absolutely ridiculous kitchen set up and filthy, we had a grease fire the first time we turned on stove burner. Not one decent pot or pan, I believe it's been stocked from yard sales. The utensils where so cheap, they should have just left plastic wear. It was pretty much impossible to cook a decent meal. Coffee machine and toaster have long since pasted their working days and not to mention I am sure the cheapest available when purchased. NO real bowls. 7. The is one of the most ridiculous things of all... between 4 beds and 3 pull out sofas, there were a total of 6 pillows, two of which were useless! 8. The general condition and the building is horrible, filthy and just in general disrepair everywhere. 9. The elevators are just SCARY AND SLOW! read more

The positives: room layout was great for a family vacation, view on the ocean front was perfect, convenience of the location was good. Negatives: bring EVERYTHING you need for day to day living right down to toilet paper. Don't plan on using the bedding or sheets as they are covered in stains. My family has been coming to ocean city Maryland for over 30 years now. This was the first year we decided to stay at a different hotel, which was the Quay. The minute we arrived we all immediately regretted it. The hotel is a complete dump. Everything was dirty, rooms and hallways alike. The pool was never open because someone "threw up" and "pooped" in the pool EVERY DAY. Not only was the hotel a complete mess, but the staff and security were highly disrespectful towards everyone, even children. The staff and security are the worst part about this hotel. They have no idea how to deliver quality customer service. We got noise complaints twice during the week for being too loud, mind you we are a large family with children. The staff handled the situation horribly and were very aggressive towards my family. If you are a large family trying to have a good time on vacation, DO NOT waste your time coming to the dirty Quay. Completely the worst management I have ever dealt with, and rather disgusted that there are people like Lily, the Property Manager, running a business. We paid $35 to park our car, the security at the desk forgot to write down our car in the book, therefore leading to our card getting towed. After their mistake, Lily insisted it was our fault. We responded by asking, "So your employee making this mistake was our fault?", her ride delusional answer was "yep".....what?! I couldn't believe what they just got away with. Terrible experience. My family and I stayed in room 2509 the pent house. It was dirty all couches and recliners were very stained and broken. There was only 1 small tv. The ac barely worked. Everything was very outdated. It looked like it was never cleaned. The beds were so outdated and used you can hear and feel the springs in them. The bathroom shower head in the upstairs bathroom was coming out of the wall. Wall paper was like from the 60's along with the whole building. Seriously the place has never been updated I swear! Mirrors every where. The place is small. Oh and stains everywhere in every room on every carpet. Very over priced. Only nice thing was the outdoor pool. Indoor pool was dirty. Game room was just sad. None of the security access for keys in the building to get into the pool or front door worked. You could just walk in. Please do not stay here the building itself is old and run down, but this so called pent house is an absolute dump and we should not have been charged what we were! read more

Boooo! Let's start with the fact that we couldn't check in till 3:45. The cleaning people where still in our room when we arrived at 2:30. The room was not clean. Very dirty. You only can park one car w the room, extra car $50. Wifi is a joke. If you have small ones that like to be on there electronics at night forget about it. The tv in our room is from 1985. Let me start by saying the only good out of this experience was we will NEVER stay here again. The view was good but that's about it. First of all, the money we spent to stay here the least you can do is give us a free parking spot ! The second car had to park a few blocks away. The kitchen was disgusting! Inside the stove was so gross! The counters were sticky and the refrig was disgusting! We complained so they set a cleaning lady up but should of been done before we got there. No A/C in 2 rooms. You ask what did they do for us....they send up two floor fans and never fixed the A/C. Bathroom was gross. No hot water in one of them. WIFI sucked! Elevator rides was always a scary moment. One would shake really bad! Very outdated. Owner did not put money into unit for any repairs. But charged so much to stay there. Arcade for the kids was nice, but half the games didn't work. Every time we would say something to front desk they referred us to the realtor. We have been home for almost a week and everyday I make a call to complain. I am getting nowhere. The sofas had springs popping out of them. You had to sit on a pillow. There was 9 of us so we had no where else to go so we stayed and made the best of it. If there was a button for less than a star i would be hitting it. Worst place even !! Don't stay at the QUAY !!!! read more
