First off Frank seems like a nice guy, came out to do the estimate right on schedule we agreed on the price. We picked out our tile , vanity & counter top very smooth so far. Frank provided the start date and they were here to start right on schedule. Demo went ok ( no plastic hung up to prevent the dust bowl) nothing that a few days of cleaning won't take care of. Sheet rock / electrician very nice, but the walls were not ready for paint and it shows. Then enter the tile guy, this guy was the absolute worse. Didn't seem like a bad guy but he had more issues then sports Illistrated, used all my Home Depot buckets, left them full of hardend thin set. First day on the job he put down 13 floor tiles then called it a day, comes back on Sunday puts down 15 wall tiles and calls it a day.Monday was a full day and he had to remove 1 uneven tile and replace it but he said it was complete. The threshold was so uneven you could see it without a level, he comes back on Friday to level the threshold. I forgot to mention I lugged the floor tile in from the garage and helped him get the saw setup in the garage and you had no idea who he was going to show up with for help. The crew returned to finish up, Frank jr and the other 2 guys were also very nice.....but the vanity has a blemish in it . So here's the thing, I didn't hire all these contractors....I hired Frank. Frank needs to do some serious quality control and be more present on the jobsite. What we expected was a turn key bathroom project, add our paint / curtains and call it a day. We didn't beat them up on the price but we got a Lowes /Home Depot quailty bathroom remodel at a preimum price. We hired Summa Construction for a bathroom remodel. My husband and I were so pleased with their work. They were so helpful and professional from start to finish. Frank and his staff were on time worked hard and went the extra mile to make sure everything was installed perfectly. We had a new bathroom installed in 2 1/2 weeks. . Their subcontractors for tile work and shower glass door installation also were excellent . The convenience of having everything ordered and scheduled directly through summa construction who were the project management for all subcontractor scheduling made our lives much easier. Frank Summa's company recently completed a bathroom remodel in my condo. The job consisted of removing the bathtub and replacing it with a walk-in shower with glass doors and replacing the ceiling fan. This is a family business and everyone was very professional and friendly. Frank quoted a price and timeframe and it was done like clock work. He told me that they would be there by 8:00am to start and the job would be finished by the end of the day. They were there at 7:50am ready to work. Each part of the job was done exactly the way it was explained, including the time frame. The workers were on time to complete their part of the job and I had a new walk in shower by 3:30pm. Don't go with this company. They did both our bathrooms and the upstairs shower was too small so he moved a wall to fit his shower. Then it leaked and we had to cut away part of the wall, Downstairs we don't' think they took out the rotted floor. The tiles have been down for 5 years and now the grout is coming out and the tiles are all loose. Had to hire a new tile guy to tear it all out and start over. Biggest waste of money for a very shoddy job! read more

The job consisted of removing old jacuzzi tub, replacing moldy sheet rock walls and rotted floor. Install walk-in style shower stall and all hardware, add white tile and touch up popcorn ceiling where needed. Went to two big names in my area: Fiderio & Sons, which was your typical corporate style set up: fancy show rooms, slick brochures and smooth salesmen. And Blue Ribbon Plumbing, which I found the lady who I dealt with to be a little bit on the smug side. And belittling of the competitors that I said I was considering as well. Not to mention their products were the same ones found in Home Depot although they denied that. Super glad I went with Summa Construction! No middle men, the person I originally spoke with (Frank) was the one who worked on the job along with his team. Straight up, no hassles or peer pressure as so many other companies do. And at huge savings over the other quotes I had received, and without any of that sign now and we'll deduct x amount or coupon b.s. (Blue Ribbon said it was impossible for Summa to do the job at that price). Very clean, professional, and completed within a couple days. That was over 1 year ago as of this review, no problems of any kind. Highly recommended. read more

STEER CLEAR. they were hired to replace a complete tub enclosure. I picked out a tub enclosure, then per their advice, a 2nd choice tub enclosure...incase the first wasnt available.. They installed their 3rd choice. I Hate It ! but I own it. their "sub contractor" who did the sheetrock is a HACK, and only sanded enough to make a complete mess of my house. bathroom walls are horrible, and the patch is so thick it cracked off the wall. faucet they installed was also junk, and on the 3rd trip back to my house to fix the drips The owner "Warned me" not to complain, or 'get in' the workers face, cuz that worket has a temper! ...ALso had to Recaulk the tub cuz they did a lousy caulk job and it had dirt and saw dust in the caulk,. I got ROBBED. Dont know how these guys stay in business. read more

Summa Construction has done several jobs for me and I couldn't be any more satisfied with their services. I bought a 100 year old house and completely remodeled it. Summa Construction took care of all the plumbing permits and inspections for the town. Frank and his team of experienced plumbers did extensive plumbing work including, moving kitchen sink piping, moving bathroom piping, all new pipes, etc. They also installed the kitchen appliances and the entire bathroom. I trusted them to do the repairs when I was not home and I always came back with a clean work area. Since my remodel, they have done 4 bathrooms of family members and performed my smaller jobs including faucet repairs, pipe repairs, new valves, and replacing the water main valve to the house. There work is of the highest quality and I recommend them to all of my contacts, and all have been extremely satisfied.
