I tried 3X before (circa 2019 - 2023) getting lash extensions at different places and every time my eyes got irritated, swollen and puffy. Every time I had to go back the next day or 2 to get them removed. My friends say nowadays there's better options, technique and sensitive glue available. I found sumi and saw their new client promo price ($55 for a regular full set) and decided to try them since it would be a low price risk in case I have a reaction. There was some confusion over the new promo price with the first girl telling me after my first set it would be $95, then my tech telling me that for what I wanted today it would be $95. She was able to explain and clarify the promo so today's set was $65 because the 2 tip hairs was +$10. Great. I knew I wanted a very natural, light feel with adding just a bit of volume as my lash line is light and cannot hold much (also having sensitivity). I learned from experience. My tech showed me the lengths and it was go time. I knew how simple of a style and shape I wanted based on how I wear my strip lashes. The best part of my experience is that she only took about 35 minutes to apply my extensions, that's what I'm talking about! I know my set is not as dramatic or voluminous but it came out really great and so far they feel comfortable. I really hope they last and don't give me problems the next days ahead. Regular (signature sumi) full set: 2 tips, natural C curve, 9-11 mm, cute style I hope they do well so I can come back for a fill in the next few weeks. What would be nice, especially for those who are on the table for 1 hour(s)+ are either rolled blanket or towels /pillows for under the knees while laying down. It helps with comfort. read more

Best part, they have a massive discount for first time clients-- especially if you're doing a classic set. If you're thinking of doing something a little extra, they always have a seasonal lash style for a heavy discount as well. If it's your first time coming in, I highly recommend checking out their website or Instagram for inspo because bringing photos is the best way to communicate what you want. Sometimes the technical lash terms can mean different things to us versus the technician, so a picture clears everything up. They're pretty busy every time I go but it doesn't feel chaotic. The vibe is peaceful and quiet while they play serene and meditative music. The full sets I've gotten take about 2.5 hours or so and the fills take about an hour. For someone who gets pretty antsy, I'm happy about the timing. Bottom line, whether you're going for something soft and natural or bold and dramatic, you'll leave feeling obsessed with your lashes. read more

Great service and experience but MAKE SURE to read the fine print for pricing! At Sumi Lash, ask for Natalie!!! She is literally the sweetest, and addressed all my concerns. This was also my very first time getting eyelash extensions, and she did a great job of explaining the different types of eyelash extensions. I have one monolid, and one double-eyelid and she did an amazing job with making my eyelash extensions even. I got the wispy hybrid set, in the long length. I personally am a big fan of big, long, bold lashes, and at first, they suggested short/medium. But, after I showed them a photo, we agreed on the long length. I highly recommend bringing a photo of exactly what you want (I showed them a photo of my regular strip eyelash look) I ended up paying $123, including tax and tip. I too, like others in the reviews, felt a bit misled regarding their $55 first-time customer deal. From my understanding it is ONLY for the classic style. If you want bigger/bolder/different style of lash, expect to pay around $100. When I booked on their website, with Vagaro, The 'Gropon/Yelp Deal Lashes( Wispy volume)" listing, which cost $55, as you can see in the screenshot below. So I came, expecting to get a wispy volume set for $55. But, after we discussed the set, they said it would be $110 instead, which confused me. There was some explanation offered, but frankly it confused me more, and I just asked natalie which was cheaper, and to let me know what to do. So, just be careful with pricing, call them if you want a direct answer. read more

Ok here is the good: you will love ur lashes and the glue they use last. Ok here is the bad: don't use the Groupon or promo on website. They will always try to upsell and not agree to the pricing offered. I got a Groupon for classic lashes. They tried to upsell me saying they don't do the classic lash . I said then I just want whatever the Groupon covers. She asked rudely how much I paid for the Groupon and I showed her... that was rude. I don't like being upsold forcefully. In the end I like my lashes and I tipped her $20. But I felt uncomfortable using the Groupon, having her upset that I had a Groupon. If they don't want to service Groupons then don't offer it. read more

Now reading from you that it was indeed $55 makes the whole situation very disappointing again. This is definitely an issue I think people should avoid. I'm writing this as I am in the waiting room and I have to say I'm sad this isn't a higher review. The vibe is nice, but what good is a vibe if the service is mediocre or below average? This is my 4th time coming and second time where there have been issues with this place being under staffed or late. The last two times I've been in, there's never a receptionist and Alice is playing both role of lash artist and secretary. I usually go to her for service since I like her work, but she's been notoriously pulled out of my service to help another customer or running late to my appointment. For example, my appointment is at 1:30 and she is still with another client.
