HOWEVER, her front desk staff are unfortunately a poor reflection of her office and the standards she sets. The communication is always extremely poor and sometimes combative, especially from Natasha, (if needing to reschedule, running a few mins late, needing questions answered before spending thousands of dollars, etc.). I've not once gotten an apology for any inconveniences or discrepancies and they make it really difficult to reach the doctor unless you're paying over $100 to see her in person (and good luck with getting that appointment any time soon). As a person who has been a patient since January, I feel like I deserve a little more respect with regards to my time and sensitivity with regards to my needs. Thus far, the only person I can compliment is Brittany. She seems genuinely nice/helpful. But she is rarely the person that I am communicating with.

Harley (blonde hair) is sweet, kind and will remember your name from every appointment on. The longest I ever had to wait to be seen was about ten minutes and this is only because they were backed up. Dr.Spilane when he walks into a room will first ask you about your life and how things are. He takes his time and truly cares for his patients. Before finding Dr.Spilane, I had seen over three dermatologists who all misdiagnosed me and said my symptom was untreatable. The second he saw me he said with a stern voice: "WE ARE GOING TO WORK TOGETHER AND CURE THIS". I can now say I am cured and it is all thanks to him! I have dealt with Long Island Surgical PLLC for about 18 months now. I recommend them for…read moreProfessional Services, Sense of urgency, putting the patients care first, and positive mental attitude. I had an emergency surgery in December 2024. I went to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, NY. I could not move. I called 911, and when I was in the hospital, I was told I needed surgery because my intestines were blocked. Dr. David Ritz performed my surgery. I am sure there was a team there. But, I believe Dr. Ritz was the leader. When I woke up after the surgery, I had a Colostomy pouch, and I was unable to walk. Dr. Ritz came in and told me what happened. He was also very clear that I should sit up and get to a point where I can walk around as fast as possible. He was very positive about this, and I respected that. It actually took me about 3 days before I could even get around with a walker. Then, I went through Cancer Chemotherapy. Dr. Ritz was very clear that my Colostomy could be reversed, but only after the Cancer was cleared up. He did not give me a date. Last month, 18 months later, Dr. Ritz performed the reversal. Again, he was very clear of the procedure before my surgery. I had a lot of confidence with Dr., Ritz. His positive mental attitude helped me so much. Today is about three weeks after my Reversal surgery. I had my Post operation appointment with Dr. Ritz. He explained the typed of stitched he used. He saw the wound. The scars are healing well. I am confident. I know this is a long review. But, I feel it is necessary because I have been to a support group for the Colostomy. Believe me when I tell you that I heard some horror stories about people's surgeries. I also want to let you all know that if you personally have a surgery, there are two important things. #1. Be proactive in your operation and healing. don't just put it all on the medical team. It is your body. #2. Be careful of the information you put in your mind. Don't just accept the word of a few extremists. Look up respectable sources. And if you do not feel confident in your heart, go to another source. If you are on Long Island, I recommend Long Island Surgical PLLC, 5 Stars. They are in the area of Mercy Hospital, in Rockville Centre.
