I also think this is why I have seen a huge reduction in ingrowns, so her kindness and willingness to give me a cheap exfoliation glove , 1000% means I am going back!! This was my first time getting a Brazilian and I was a nervous wreck. Rita took her time and calmly walked me through and made sure I was comfortable at each step which made the process as smooth as my Brazilian! Rita answered all my questions I had and made sure I had all the information I needed for proper after care and even offered some tips. Did I also mention how insanely clean the facility was? After 2 years of using their services, I balked at being "forced" to pay 20% tip each time because…read morethe esthetician told me it was the norm. Ok. I did that for 2 years. One session Cameron missed not 1, not 2, not 3 but FOUR areas that she was paid to sugar. They weren't even small areas. They were long rows down my left arm, down my left leg, an area around my right knee and a patch on my left hand. Each time I noticed I had to get the tweezers out to rectify. it took me about 15 minutes each for the arm and leg hairs. a few minutes for the hand and I did not even bother with the knee. So the time after I gave no tip. Cameron started bawling in front of me at losing the tip. Nice! Do your job properly lady. After 2 years my growth is sparse and thin and gets done in half the time allocated. Whilst I appreciate that, I end up paying $hundreds for a 60 minute job. Plus I'm supposed to pay a 20% tip on top? That seems excessive to me. When 5 weeks later and ready to book my next session, I asked the owner Renata about it, and could I please pay a 10% tip because it takes about half or less than the time allocated and she replied "tipping is always completely at your discretion, and we would never want you to feel obligated to pay a certain amount." Then only after I said I would only pay a 10% tip, Renata said her aesthetician Cameron did not feel comfortable with serving me and they could no longer offer their services to me. When I asked what behavior I had engaged in that suddenly made her feel uncomfortable, they did not reply. So much for "tipping is always completely at your discretion." The reason I told her I was switching to a 10% tip and basically asking permission, was because I did not want Cameron bawling because of the tip. Instead they refused my business after 2 years because obviously paying $hundreds each month and a 10% tip on top for work done in half the time allocated is not enough. How unprofessional! How lame is this company and the owner Renata who happily took 20% tips for 2 years but cancelled me when I balked at that. Renata operates a franchise and pays her employees $15 per hour. Who can live off of $15 per hour? They expect customers to pay their employees' salaries whilst sucking up $hundreds per hour. When you receive $hundreds of dollars for a 60 minute service and pay your own staff $15 an hour, that is exploitation. Nothing less. I already found me an independent provider. Support the local community! Get your services from independents not franchises who expect you to pay for their staff. At this time, Renata has already deducted $100 of my monthly membership and has not confirmed the refund due. Nor has she confirmed that they have stopped the recurring payment. I do hope Renata is professional and honest enough to do the right things on that. They happily took my money monthly for 2 years, then cancelled me without a care. I will update as necessary just for the record if nothing else.
