It's such a lovely space, I love that they sell amazing local, jewelry, and other crafts (that make great gifts). The menu is ample and diverse, I love recommending this place to my vegan and vegetarian friends. If you're in a mad rush, they've got a cold case full of ready-to-eat sides, salads, quiches, and fabulous desserts. I'm typically a tuna melt girl, but decided to order the salmon melt panini and I'm fully converted now! The creamy dill sauce and havarti give a rich and tangy flavor to the smoked salmon which altogether made for a truly finger-licking lunch! My partner ordered and loved the roast beef sandwich. He's not a man of many words, but a thumbs up from him is as glowing a review as any. We shared a cup of their split pea soup, which we had no trouble finishing and pairs nicely with our sandwiches. PRO-TIP: While it may look out of the way, if you're driving from Reno to Tahoe, it only adds 10 minutes to your total drive time to stop here and grab a quick breakfast, some sandwiches, potato salad, and a sweet treat on your way to the beach! Combined with a 7am open and online ordering, it's a win-win for those early Tahoe visits!

We had a falafel pita wrap, a veggie sandwich (personal fav), a tasty tuna sandwich (personal fav), a cup of the (Joy)soup of the day (always delicious), and a pre-prepared chicken salad from the grab and go area near the check out. Everything was super fresh, tasty and amazingly delicious. Service was friendly, and the ambiance is bright, warm, and welcoming. I noticed for the first time today, that you can also pick up pizzas and pies to take home and bake. I'll be back for one of those soon! https://labakerycafe.com

Stopped in here to get coffee and breakfast before going out on the boat all day. I had planned on…read moregetting a breakfast sandwich and one of their specialty coffee drinks, but the line was so long and it would've taken so much longer to wait for those things that by the time I got to the front after waiting 25 minutes or so I just ordered things that I could take and run out the door with. The drip coffee was OK, not the best coffee I've ever had but the pastries were really good. We tried a veggie frittata, a maple bar, an iced lemon cookie, an iced oatmeal raisin cookie, and their yogurt parfait with fresh fruit. The doughnut was ridiculously good. The cookies were fantastic. The yogurt parfait was delicious with fresh homemade granola and peak of the season peaches and berries. My buddy said the frittata was excellent as well. So just a couple notes: there's only one person taking orders so the line moves very, very slow. If you are waiting in line, plan your order ahead of time so that when you get up to the front, you're not one of the idiot tourists standing there being a jackass, making it longer for everybody else because they didn't pay attention to the menu board or the pastry case before they got up to the front. That was the most irritating thing about this experience. One group had to bring their whole six kids in (even though they didn't let them order anything) they were just in the way and the people right after them did not plan and took forever to order. So be cognizant of other people around you and pay attention. It will make the entire line move faster. Plenty of seating out front, but not a ton of parking. Planning to try and go back and try some more pastries before I leave this week.

We decided to walk around the other shops instead, and as we were walking we both looked at each other and said, "Do you smell cinnamon rolls?" The amazing smell led us right into the bakery. We ordered a cinnamon roll to go because we were still full, and the staff suggested warming it up for about 40 seconds when we were ready to eat it. That was the perfect recommendation! Once I got home and warmed it up, it was absolutely delicious. The roll was soft and fresh, and the frosting wasn't overly sweet--it had the perfect balance. My only regret is that I didn't buy more! We'll definitely be stopping by again.

I ordered the Frangipane, a small gluten free treat. First, I don't like almond paste and didn't make the connect that's what this was. That's on me. But let me tell you, I devoured this dessert. It was so buttery, the texture spot on- crisp and moist at the same time, and there was the nicest little taste of raspberry. I guess I do like almond paste. I got the bacon breakfast sandwich to go and reheated it the next morning. Very filling and wonderful flavor in the biscuit. Can't wait to stop by again later this summer.
