Perfect position, easy parking, the beautiful heritage building and the simple clean interior gives you that cool colonial feel about the place, love the big windows. Seating arrangement wasn't ideal this time as we have 9 people, I reckon the best setting is for 4 or 6 on the long table, but then it would be hard to order the many wonderful food they dished out here. There is a bigger table for 6 or 8 if your squeeze a bit. Anyway, for the many times we have patronized this Thai restaurant we've gone home happy with their offerings; the signature dish Sugarcane Mussaman Curry Beef is just terrific, the serving is small, not too many beef cubes, lots of potatoes, carrots, and everything else, the sauce on top of the steam rice is "close" to heaven if there's a Thai restaurant there, watch out for the serving bowl with a warmer underneath, is not as stready ....Basil Stir Fry Vegetable and Tofu is just sweet & spicy ... Seafood & Pineaple Fried Rice is must ... Pad Thai Prawns is NOT a 9 but a great 7 ... a bit disappointed with the Ginger Steam Rockling Fish Fillet and Pla Sum Rod (Sweet & Sour Fish), no Snapper so we settle for Barramundi. I'll give it a 6 which usually a 8 or 9, probably the supplier didn't supply them with the right stuff being an Easter Holiday. All in all, is one of the pricey one, but still one of the EXCELLENT one in Melbourne. read more
