Ugly cupcake that the company did not take accountability for. No quality control or respect from the company.

The company thought they could deflect their problem instead of taking accountability and when I brought up my complaint with them they immediately blamed it on me. How is this ugly cupcake my fault?! This is the type of product that they want to represent themselves with, terrible performance on this brand. Not only are the cost of these desserts very expensive but they don't put any care into customer service or into their work. They tried telling me that this cupcake was meant to look like that which makes the case even worse for them. The cupcake looks like someone bit into it and then shoved a half eaten egg into the hole and filled it with icing. When I called the store they did not have any resolution for me besides blaming the problem on me and saying it must have tipped over. No way. This company does not run quality control at all clearly or help their customers with their valid concerns. The company did not even offer to replace the cupcake and drop it off to me since it was an Easter gift. So incredibly disappointed and will NEVER be purchasing from here again. The service and quality control is absolutely terrible for a brand that should be putting their best care and effort into every product.

Our wedding cake served 25 and everyone raved about it!

Finding a great gluten-free wedding cake is not easy! We were fortunate to find Sugar Suite in downtown Oakville and on fairly short notice we were able to order a gorgeous two-tier butter cream frosting cake. They decorated it with some fabulous fresh flowers. Kenzie had us try several cake flavors including vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream and red velvet, and made the process very simple. The cake was so beautiful when it arrived and the guests raved about it. I don't think most people realized it was gluten-free! I highly recommend this bakery! It is a totally gluten-free environment.

Fortnite cake! Cookies and cream filling with vanilla and chocolate layers. Peanut free and gluten free.

Really sad that we asked if everything we bought was vegan and the mini pizza had cheese, not good the staff doesn't know.

Every time I come here I find that the average demographic leans a bit older so I'd like to share with younger people especially if you like to cook with hard to find ingredients. This place is especially great if you love making Italian dishes and baked goods like me and don't want to drive all the way out towards Mississauga and spend more than anticipated at other specialty stores, or even somewhere like Fortino's where you get charged an arm and a leg for certain produce and meat. Everything here is so fresh, and I love that they sell their prepared handmade pasta at the hot table for CHEAP. I got one serving of their handmade tortellini in alfredo sauce for just $6.99 and I was able to make two meals out of it without any extra sides or drinks. I haven't tried anything else because they had already closed most of the hot table when I got the tortellini but what was still out looked really good. Their desserts are pretty good too, I prefer their cookies over their cakes as I feel I've had better elsewhere, but nonetheless have a great selection with good pricing as well. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, I feel like even if you came in without the intention of buying something, you'll still manage to make a purchase of some sort lol.

It looks really tired and dated, in desperate need of a refresh. Interior is more small town general store as opposed to French patisserie. The refrigerated display was covered in condensation so honestly, it wasn't invited and difficult to see the cakes/tarts that were hidden behind the water droplets. I felt as though this did a HUGE disservice to the baker 'cause this definitely prevents people from being able to properly see the products. Adjacent to the display case, were croissants (chocolate, almond, plain) and pain aux raisin. Clearly some items were in demand because there were less of certain items. Plain Croissant was $4 which, based on the size isn't too bad. "Fancier" croissants were closer to the $5 range. I didn't see any fresh bread, but they had frozen bake-at-home ones in the fridge. Not sure if it was because they were sold out. I got the pain aux raisin and it was pretty good! Not super flakey, a bit more moist, but not dry either. Not super buttery. This was in the early afternoon. And the pain aux raisin was DEFINITELY better than the poor example that I had at Gouter (Etobicoke). That was tiny and not very fresh! Overall, Patisserie D'Or could've been better, but if it's in your neighbourhood, it's probably a bonus.

However, the size was definitely smaller than before. In the past, 1 box can only hold 3 pieces of eclairs and now 4 pieces can fit in. Same price as before. Since I didn't see Monica in the store for a couple times, I asked the lady who served me the whereabout of Monica. That lady told me that Monica and her husband (the French chef) are no longer working there, and she is the new owner now. That's why I noticed a few changes there. The TV was gone and they now have breakfast menu for dine in. New changes are good. Hope they will have more new baking items soon. Unfortunately, since the French chef Mr. Jean-Luc no longer the owner, why they still keep the original website from the old owner. That is misleading.

Let me start by saying there are not many authentic French bakeries outside the downtown core, so it's such a relief when you finally find one in the GTA. In comes Tradition de France. Right when you walk in, you are greeted with a "Bonjour!". They offer a wide variety of items but I mostly just come for the croissants and more specifically now, the almond croissants. I'm not gonna lie, they're pricey. It's $6 for one almond croissant BUT, take a look at my pictures. The size of one of these is my face+. You're insane if you think I personally, could finish one of these in one sitting lol. This is defs a two-part pastry lol. This croissant is so big and does not look like your average croissant but boy is it GOOD. It's buttery, no fake almond extract taste present and the almond filing texture is just right. It's filled to the point where the bottom of the croissant gets a little soggy, which is exactly what I look for in an almond croissant. The plain butter croissant is also perfect. Flaky and buttery with all the layers. Again, it's so hard to find authentic French bakeries outside of Toronto, so Tradition de France is a good place to start, if you're looking to get your croissant fix.
