Prices:$-$$ It really depends on what you get here as to what the price is. Candy selection: They have a very small selection of candy which is very sad as it's supposed to be a candy store. The candy in the cases look old. Nothing is made fresh here which is extremely disappointing and disgusting. You can get boring tasteless prepackaged candy that you can get pretty much anywhere else. Our Selection: We got rainbow licorice twists, black licorice twists, cotton candy, peanut butter fudge, and peanut butter truffle fudge. The licorice twists were hard as a rock, you could seriously break a tooth on it. The fudge we got were stale and tasted absolutely horrid. Toys selection: They have more toys than candy so I guess if you want a toy this is the place for you. Overall Experience: Our experience was horrible and we will not be returning ever. It's a nice little shop with plenty of sweets available. I got a pound of vanilla and chocolate as well as 4 molasses taffy's. The fudge is fudge. Sweet and soft, it hit the spot. The molasses taffy's are covered in dark chocolate and were very affordable at 2.25 each. Maybe that's the going rate in OCMD vs OCNJ prices. All of it was delicious and I didn't share any of it with anyone!

They have cute fixtures outside of the building that my kids enjoyed taking pictures of and with. Upon entering it was a very large space and bright! They have all kinds of toys, souvenirs and a larger variety of candy than a Candy Kitchen. They have plastic bags (pay per weight) that you can fill with candy or even small buckets. They also have shelves filled with a variety of candy. They have ice cream and a counter filled with different specialty chocolates, etc. Overall, I thought it was WAY better than a Candy Kitchen. The variety from sweets to sours to chocolates was awesome! I also thought the pricing wasn't bad considering it's a tourist area.

Candy Kitchen is more of a 'Candy Pantry'. I don't think anything is made in house (at least not by…read moretaste), though it is fully stocked up on all sorts of gummies, fudge, taffy, and stuffed animals of various types. It's a fantastic place to practice telling your toddler 'no.' I can't begin to tell you how many reps we got in, while still absolutely spoiling him. On the 'wanting to be here' spectrum, kids definitely occupy the top tier. From the 3 ft high perspective, it is thrilling. So many toys and so much candy and chocolate stacked and sorted wall to wall. Next, after skipping a tier or two, are the parents. We unfortunately can read prices and, if we wanted to, nutrition information. Both of those sort of spoil the fun. Dead last, another tier down, are the teenaged staff (with a few exceptions though). I get it though. I also would much rather joke with my friends and flirt/sulk, rather than listen to a dad tell his kid 'no' approximately 800 times in 5 minutes.
