What is sugaring? It is basically like waxing but so much better. The way it works is you have a warm sugaring paste (which is organic and vegan) that removes your hairs without sticking to the skin. The paste is constantly rolled on the skin and stripped in the areas of unwanted hair. The process is fairly quick and a lot less painful than waxing. Now getting to Sugar Bee can be confusing but just look for the Sola Salon next to the shopping center where IHOP is located, near the Tyler Mall. Once you get there, you'll find yourself in a hallway with a couple studios but keep walking until you find #9. The studio was very clean and organized. I made an appointment and did not have to wait (I've had some bad experiences with waiting an extra 30 minutes at other spots). And don't worry, there's curtains for those who need the privacy! Service was on point; Krystalin is awesome and made sure I was comfortable especially since I've never had hair removed this way before. First, you'll get sanitized and powdered up. Next, the sugaring process begins. You just need to lay there and take it. It honestly just felt like I was getting gently massages with slight stings here and there but painless for the most part, even in my sensitive areas! After Krystalin was done, she asked if there were any spots she missed so she can get them for me, now that's what I call good customer service. Great experience at Sugar Bee, don't think I'd ever want to do waxing after trying this. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get rid of hairs or get Brazilians! UPDATE: FACIAL SERVICES ARE NOW AVAILABLE! If you are looking to have skin that looks and feels amazing while getting pampered, try a facial! The facial begins with a steamer that opens up your pores. Then Krystalin does a series of treatments using cleansers, masques, toners, scrubs, serums, moisturizer and a hydrating facial mist. She determines what type of facial is best for your skin based on what you've got so everyone gets a personalized experience. I had a pumpkin enzyme peel done and it felt amazing! You can feel your skin tingling (in a good way). I also enjoyed the Vitamin C on my skin. In between the treatments, a hot towel is placed on your face. Don't worry, you will still be able to breathe because it doesn't go over your nose! Towards the end of the facial, your face gets massaged for a couple minutes. Your arms get some lovin' too! The entire process was so relaxing, you won't even realize that an hour has passed. When I got up to look at my face, it looked beautiful. It was glowing like I was pregnant. My skin has never felt so soft and refreshed! Definitely a great experience. read more

Krystalin is a wonderful sugarist. I've been going to her for a while now and she's beyond amazing. She's incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, which plays a HUGE part in making you feel more comfortable and keeping your mind off any pain. During every appointment I've ever had with her, she's been very professional.. so it confuses me that many people have left her reviews stating otherwise. I've been late to one of my appointments before & she was beyond understanding, which not many people usually are. Her website is easy to navigate & lists very explicitly what actions she's taking during this pandemic, such as: no one else being allowed to come to your appointment other than YOU. Every time I book an appointment using her website, I receive multiple texts and even emails to remind me of my appointment, what to expect, the changes she's made, and again.. the rules she has implemented. I'm honestly confused by the multiple negative reviews she's received all in one day, which is a little sus if you ask me lol... but believe me when I tell you to ignore those reviews (especially bc they were pressed enough by my *honest* review to mark it as "funny" lmao) and book your appointment with her, because you won't be disappointed. read more

Sugar Bee - Sugaring Near Me - Riverside, California

I've been a faithful customer to sugar bee since I started, and although I was satisfied with the sugaring service I decided to not return do to their poor customer service. I had scheduled an appointment a month ago for a certain time slot and saved it on my calendar. Sugar Bee then changed my original scheduled time to an earlier appointment (15 mins earlier) and never called me about the change. They apparently sent an email which I never saw because I was traveling abroad. I was sent a text a day prior to confirm my appointment and I missed the time change on there (my bad) since I was not expecting it. I showed up to my appointment on time according to my original schedule, but late (15 mins) according to the new schedule and I was charged a later fee (50% of the cost of the service), which is a lot considering how expensive the service is in the first place. I asked for my late fee to be waived due to the fact that I had not noticed my appointment was changed and because I was willing to reschedule my service that same day and pay full price for it. I also brought up how on my last appointment I was seeing 45 min late due to a mistake on their end and all I was asking was for the same grace to be offered to me in this situation in which I showed up 15 min late to an appointment that was changed without me noticing. When they made a mistake, there were no repercussions, I understood that mistakes happen and I accepted the apology. They didn't offer me a discount that day and I also didn't ask for one or acted offended that I had just lost almost an entire hour of my work day. But when I made the mistake of missing a notification of a change on their end, they were not willing to wave my late fee. Caring more about this late fee charge vs. keeping a loyal customer. I told them I was most likely not coming back, and their response was " OK have a nice day". I left sad and disappointed. read more

This was my first time coming to sugar and bee super friendly staff , krystalin did an amazing job definitely recommend!

I love coming here. It always smells delicious and everything is clean. Definitely recommend.

I have been coming to Sugar Bee for approximately a year now, and the service is amazing. They are clean, efficient, and respectful. Definitely recommend to first timers seeking a good experience with their first wax experience. read more

Omg!!! Krystalin is a magic worker. I got the spring bloom facial, and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is always excellent and peaceful, and the facial was such a great time. I feel so good, and the results speak for themselves. It did wonders for my hormonal acne. Recommend to anyone in need for some self-care and glowing radiant skin. read more

Always top notch service. Krystalin is the best. She is professional and courteous-- the best in Riverside.

Hello! I wanted to write a review on the unprofessional owner "Krystalin". I got notified 30 min before my appointment time of it can be moved . I'm sorry but if I book a certain time, it's because I got other stuff to do and MY time should be honored. When I tell them no, I get notified of an upcharge because now I'm gunna be scheduled with another leveled sugarist. That's not my problem and I should not be charged lol. The owner notifies me it's because the original sugarist is no longer available at the time I booked for. Again not my problem. Krystalins whole demeanor was just plain rude and she doesn't know how to talk to customers . Will not be returning. Look elsewhere. Based on other reviews, they're ALWAYS messing up and rescheduling. read more

My full Brazilian service with the owner Krystalin was amazing! I have been going to her for some years but hadn't gone for a service and quite some time and today was such a pleasant experience and wonderful vibes as always. Sugar Bee treatment spa is so nice and pleasant and smells great. The staff were super accommodating and helpful as well as knowledgeable on products. Sugar Bee is a must if you're looking for any type of spa treatments. read more

I've been coming here approximately every 8-10 weeks for about the past year. I had nothing but positive experiences until my last appointment with the owner Krystalin. She was arrogant to say the least. Talked the entire time about how she happily fired all her old staff because they weren't up to par and that's what her business partner or mentor advised her to do. Talked about a training program she was making and how she was going to be charging for it so people don't waste her time. Also bad talked other larger/local sugaring companies. Inappropriate conversation to have with a customer in my opinion, but whatever I just needed my sugaring. So I stayed quiet during my appointment and that was that. Fast forward to yesterday, I try to book on the website... there's NO staff available. I call and got an appointment with the owner, but was told they needed to confirm later because the internet was down. Also found out the price was now $95 (a $15 increase from my recent appointment) but whatever, I have vacation coming up and need my sugaring. Today I get an email saying I was "previously restricted from booking." Sooo my review is simply to say... use this place with caution because I do think it's possible to find better customer service and professionalism than what Krystalin is offering. I also will now tell my friends, family and coworkers to skip this place as well. read more

Sugar Bee - Sept 2023 - Sugaring Near Me - Riverside, California

Been coming here for a while, but I'm ready to move on to a different sugarist due to my last few visits. The owner is OK, she is informative and has great technique. However, she has a lot of problems with her clients and is constantly arguing with them on this page, so it's just not a good look lol. It makes me feel on edge at times during my visits. One of the times I was there, she was preaching on and on about how her late policy goes both ways. Then ironically at my next visit, she was 15 minutes late (the length of her grace period). I barely got an apology and she sped through my service. I had hair growing back on the second and third day when I've had my sugar last weeks before with her. I honestly wouldn't have cared if the quality of the sugaring was the same, but it wasn't lol. Other than that, I have to admit she's really good at what she does. My most recent visit I had my services done by one of her new employees (bc krystallin was not available), and it was the worst experience at sugaring i've ever had. I had my brazillian and underarms done. The employee was pulling at the sugar so much, and I have a high pain tolerance but that hurt too much. She couldn't get the sugar off of my skin so she constantly had to pull. There was sugar flying all over the room the entire time. And by the end of it, I had bruises under both my arms and on my brazillian area. I'm prone to ingrowns (however i stopped getting them since i started sugaring with Krystallin) but i've never had ingrowns like i did this past month. I was able to go to someone to help me with that, but it's really just been a terrible experience that i feel like i shouldn't have had to deal with in the first place. Not to mention, she left most of the hair on my underarms. I understand having to train new sugarists and having to give them a chance, but I would at least hope the owner makes sure that they're not leaving bruises and flicking sugar across the room the entire time. read more

Krystalin is so amazing! She's so sweet and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable at all! I definitely recommend her if you want sugaring done! read more

I love Sugar Bee! Long time customer, I've known Krystalline since she had a small space by herself. I went in for a Brazillian service today. I'm so happy to see how much business has grown and flourished. I love the space, vibe and energy everytime I go in there. I am always greeted with kindness, respect and the process is very easy to schedule appointments. I love to see new specialists being trained which allows business to grow. I received Brazillian service today from Ellen and honestly it was one of the best experiences I had. Hard to believe it was virtually painless, very quick, great recommendations for maintenance. I'm very satisfied and so happy that there is a place like this in my area. This is not my first positive review in the past few years which shows very consistent service. Wishing the business the best of luck, it's truly my secret getaway place. Thank you! read more

I requested a Brazilian and it did not disappoint. Krystalin did an amazing job making me feel comfortable and you can tell she's very experienced in her technique as it only took her 20 minutes! This is my 2nd time going to her. Based on my experience I will definitely continue to come back. read more

My first sugar waxing experience was two weeks ago with Sarah from Sugar Bee. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience- Sarah was amazing and my results after just one wax session will definitely keep me coming back to her. Since my sugar wax, I have noted that my underarm hairs have not grown back as fast as it normally would compared to my experience with hard/soft wax which is shocking considering how quickly my hairs grow back when I have gone elsewhere. Sarah took the time to educate me about sugar waxing and the after care, she is very knowledgeable about her field. When it was time for me to get up from the table after the wax, I didn't want to because I was so relaxed...LOL. I left the appointment feeling very satisfied so I booked my next appointment that same day. I found Sugar Bee through Yelp, so I would suggest it to anyone who is looking for a new waxing place. I have been getting waxed with hard/soft wax for about two years and none of the establishments can compare to Sugar Bee. I look forward to exploring their other services in the future. Can't wait for my next appointment with Sarah :) read more

Krystalin is one of the best sugariest I've ever been too. Very clean salon and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Never got a chance to go in for a service this is a review of the customer services over the phone. Called to make an appointment and individual who answered was very difficult to schedule appointment with, gave me an appointment and when she asked for my number and I said I was new she canceled my appointment because she could not fit a new client. I even explained that I currently get sugar waxed just moved and wanted to try out a closer place. Nope and just said sorry and bye. read more

Comfortable & Inviting The best facial I ever had! The team at Sugar Bee is awesome! From the time you are greeted by the front desk until your service you feel the love! Professional staff that will educate you as the service is performed. The studio is clean, sanitary and the products are amazing. I had my face "sugared" the first visit and returned for a facial I was so impressed by the education. No hard sell of products, however you will want to purchase based on how your skin feels afterwards. read more

Absolutely the best place I've been to for sugaring! The atmosphere is inviting and has a relaxing ambiance. The treatment process from beginning to end, is amazing. The owner and fellow veteran Krystalin is attentive and awesome!! Also Lenae who I go to regularly is AMAZING, her sugaring skills are on point. If you've never been sugared, TRY IT, you will love it, especially if you have sensitive skin like mine, this is the way to go! read more

I booked an appointment as a new client for a Brazilian wax maintenance. I added on the comment box that I was currently pregnant and when my last sugar wax session. I am not new to sugar waxing have been doing it for 2 years with both of my pregnancy's . Recently moved out to the I.E. from Orange County. I drove 30 mins to this place to get told they couldn't see me. I never received a call or anything regarding me being pregnant they offered to do a bikini wax instead for 60$ . I turned it down because I didnt need a bikini wax, and yet They wanted to and tried to charge me 50% when they were the ones that turned me down, and absolutely no one called me or told me anything after booking about being pregnant at 37 weeks and them not being able to see me. So unprofessional If that was the case I would have not made the drive. So upsetting! And felt discriminated. Never coming here again. If you are in the OC area I recommend downtown Sugar. They r amazing read more

Had an appointment made somehow i ended up at another place with the same name. I gave a call and spoke with the lady that was supposed to do my service. She was very nice and understanding and said she would give me a 15 minute grace period on my first visit. As it would take me 30 minutes to get there from the wrong location i was at. I saw earlier there was a later appointment. I called her and asked if i could reschedule to the later appointment since i would be late and it would be better for her. She agreed. Shortly after the "owner", i did not know who i was speaking with no name given..called me and said because i moved my appointment to another time she would charge me for BOTH services for BOTH appointments. I said because of misunderstanding and my first time there can there be some kind of leniency as it is my first time. She started to get mouthy with me, very rude. I tried to explain to her that the employee agreed to move me as it would be better for everyone and she still insisted to charge me on 2 services instead of the 1 i wanted! She said she informed her employee that she had done wrong in rescheduling me and informed her of policy. (So why is it my fault when you had to tell YOUR employee of policy??) I have never been treated like this. She started talking childish saying I need to get recommended somewhere else and i am not allowed to come there. Do not worry i would not give my money to you anyway. On top of all this the service here is double the price of any other wax place, i only wanted to come because i had a last minute event. So ladies and gents look for someone else, my goodness. So decided to not come at all, as i will not give my money to such an unprofessional place. And lady if you are reading this review do not message to this review, i do not care to read what kind of BS you will come up with on this one. Obviously there are many bad experiences with you in general i think it is enough. read more

Claudia is amazing and sugaring has changed my life, but I can never return to this place. The scheduling system and the customer service of the front desk is the reason why I gave this establishment 1 star. I have had two appointments here and they were both rescheduled. The first one was rescheduled 4 times and I was not called or text the new time. Luckily, for me I checked my email because if you miss an appointment they will charge you 50% of your service. The second appointment was also rescheduled without notification, then when I tried to reschedule I was told it would be a same day cancellation. I went begrudgingly only to find out that because THEY rescheduled my appointment I know have to pay more? The literal worst. I feel really bad because like I said before the ladies actually doing the work are amazing. Do better management! read more

Was able to get a sugar appt with Karen and it was great! Would recommend sugar bee and her services!

The esthetician was professional, considerate of my privacy and made me feel comfortable.

Service was good I been coming here for some time and it's always my go to when I need a wax

I have been getting sugaring wax at a different place for a long time but I got tired of the driving. I found this place on Yelp. My sugarist Lenae was amazing. Very detailed in explaining the process and constantly in checking in to see how I was doing, pain level, and making sure I was comfortable. She was also very knowledgeable on products and gave amazing advice on how to treat ingrown hairs. Online booking was easy as well. I will definitely be returning especially since it's only a 10 minute drive from my house. Exceed all expectations. read more
