In 22 years of getting tattooed, Suffer City is the best shop I've ever visited. Great staff, super fucking talented, and always exceeding my expectations. I consistently have random people ask me where I get tattooed and it's always fun to share Suffer City's greatness!

My wife and I came in as walk-ins and were hoping to get a couple of tattoos right then. Chris just had a cancellation and could work us in right away. Not only was he extremely cool and chill, he took the time to listen and talk through design options. He was extremely refreshing from most tattoo artists not pushy and not talking to us we didn't understand tattoos. Dude was a blast to sit with during the process. My wife and I will 100% be back for a tat with him! Shop was very clean and very welcoming! I would absolutely recommend him and Suffer City to anyone and have!

I went to Suffer City for my second tattoo and I'll definitely be coming back for more. The parlor is clean, and the artists are friendly. I came specifically to get a piece done by Daniel Gerbis and he did a wonderful job taking the time to help me bring my idea to life. The line work and color that he brings to tattooing is really amazing and he's such a humble person as well. The other artists that work here all have really great work as well!

Suffer City Piercing has returned. We are a titanium and gold jewelry retailer. Our chief piercer began in 1995. She has received many certifications. All barbells are internally threaded or threadless. We have a large variety to choose from. We also use a top of the line Statim Autoclave that is spore tested monthly for your safety and sterility. You may walk in or make an appointment. We do follow the Texas Department of Health guidelines. A legal ID is required for all piercings with additional proof for minors.

Owl and roses done by Andy at Suffer City. It's perfect.

I was here last Saturday for an appointment with Andy and this shop is honestly amazing. Super clean and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Andy was great I told him a vague idea of what I wanted (an owl on my forearm with roses) and what he drew up was perfect. I could not be happier with it. It's healing up nicely and I pretty much can't stop staring at it because it's so pretty. Since Saturday I have gotten so many compliments on the piece he did for me. I will definitely be coming back here for more work in the future. I have heard they are doing some renovating so I can't wait to see what it looks like when they are done.

I had an amazing experience getting my first tattoos at Suffer City with a guy named Santi! Firstly it was very easy for me to book an appointment with him, through instagram of the Tattoo Shop, I chose the artist that I wanted! I talked to Santi (the artist that I chose) through direct message, and he made very simple for me to schedule my appointment, I could send to him the ideias of my tattoos and some pictures, and with those informations he told me more or less how much they would cost. My appointment was scheduled within 5 days and when I got there he had my drawings on hands, and particularly I felt more comfortable because it means that he was ready to receive me! He was very patient when I decided to change the spot of my tattoo, he heard my Ideas and after explained very well the care that should take with them! When I got home I saw that I forgot something on my tattoo (that was in my language) and he told me to go back there to get it fixed with no charges! About the quality of the tattoos? Well, They are AMAZING and I loved the fine trace!! The price was fine (the price of a Good Tattoo...) IF YOU WANT TO GET A TATTOO, GO TO SUFFER CITY AND ASK FOR SANTI!!! Thank me later!

Great place. Came in for a small red ink tattoo with 2 friends, and was helped immediately even though we were walk-ins. Ask for Jeremy!!!

A friend recommended this spot, and once I browsed their website and saw all the gorgeous jewelry options, we decided to go check it out in person. Merari was incredibly patient as I looked at (and then re-looked at) several styles. The piercing fee is typically $50, but since I mentioned it was a birthday gift to myself, they kindly waived it. Plus, I got 10% off as a first-time customer, WOOT! This gal loves a bargain, and let's be real, this is NOT a bargain kind of place (in the best way possible). I ended up choosing a dainty little diamond crawler-style piece that I absolutely love. Since they weren't busy, I only waited about 30 minutes for the ever-so-gentle Ivy to work her magic. The whole experience was smooth and super welcoming, I can totally see how these high-end piercing boutiques become addictive. Do I need a 4th one, maybe... My only wish? That more styles, especially the beautiful opals and zodiac pieces, came in white gold. Guess I'll just have to keep checking back...

Several years ago I had Billyjack do an improvement/cover-up to a tattoo I had got from a shop in…read moreNew Orleans. Then last week I went in for a new one. Neither of the designs were complicated or intricate...just some 3-5 inch ones. If you've seen Billyjack's Instagram page you know the man can do some pretty fabulous, complicated pieces so my stuff wasn't exactly anything that was automatically going to get his artistic juices flowing. And that's what I love about Billyjack. Even on when you give him a fairly simple concept, he'll make sure he makes it more and special. The most important thing he does in my opinion though is that he acts like a partner or a consultant, not just an artist who's going to execute the design you bring him. My experience down in New Orleans with the other shop was one where it was kind of like "whatever you want, man". I didn't need that, I needed a strong guiding hand and that's what I got with Billyjack. I threw out some ideas and he pretty much said what would and wouldn't work and then expanded on what would. Oh, and he's a blast to talk with. How many tattoos have you had where you and the artist have covered: dogs, kids (OK, those first 2 are pretty easy), rent relief policies during COVID and Roth IRA's. And laughing the whole time.

When I walked into the tattoo parlor, it looked clean, professional, and well put together. Based…read moreon the appearance alone, I felt confident I would receive good service. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience at all. The artist who worked on me seemed inexperienced, and the process didn't match what I was told. What should have taken around 30 minutes was discussed as taking several hours, which already felt off. In the end, I was charged $200 for a cover-up that I'm extremely unhappy with--especially since it's on my face. To make matters worse, the artist didn't follow through on what was promised. He said he would work on two tattoos but only did one, and even then, it wasn't what I asked for. I specifically wanted a design resembling stitches, but instead I was left with a large black feather on my head that I deeply regret. The environment also felt unprofessional. The staff came across as dismissive and made me feel judged for the tattoo ideas I wanted, which added to an already negative experience. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and unhappy with both the service and the final result. I would not recommend this shop. Are there any tattoo shops in the area willing to help fix a bad face tattoo once it heals? I'm worried it might scar, and I'm trying to figure out my options. If anyone has experience with cover-ups or thinks removal would be a better route, please let me know. I'd really appreciate any advice or recommendations--this is something I'm stressing about and want to fix the right way. I'm not trying to bash the entire shop, because there seemed to be some talented artists there. However, I do want to warn others about my experience with one specific artist. The artist I worked with--whose name may be Ivan or Isaac--came across as confident, but in my opinion did not demonstrate the level of knowledge or experience I expected. For example, when I asked about certain techniques like blood shading, he didn't seem to understand what I was referring to. That raised concerns for me about his training and experience. Again, this does not reflect everyone at the shop, but based on my experience, I would personally not recommend working with that particular artist.
