Her eye and intuition are very sharp which makes her a joy to work with but more importantly informs her work and lets her capture moments of humanity that elevate her work beyond casual photo shoots or portraiture. Ashley offers something unique and hard to find and for this reason I have flown her to multiple states on multiple occasions both for myself and as gifts. I have engaged her services or been along for casual shoots of family and pets, art house shoots, theater photography, headshots, boudoir, weddings, wakes and funerals. I was very nervous (I hate having my photo taken) but first on the phone and then in person, Karen's professional skill, warmth and kindness won me over. I was amazed at how quickly the time flew by. When I arrived at her studio, she put me at ease very quickly and told me what to expect (again!) She knew I was jumpy and was very patient and kind. She even helped me select a scarf -- I'd brought several options in my jitters! Karen encouraged me to bring a (quick) change of clothes so we had both formal/corporate photo and a business casual one. In no time at all, we were laughing and I was sssooo relaxed. We had so many different logistics for them to be at from the hotel, to the first look in another location, to the venue in a different location from the first two and they got their every single time even before we did without a million questions for "where should I park" or "do we have to pay for parking" etc which a lot of vendors kept messaging us about the morning of the wedding which was annoying lol... they just did it / figured it out which I was grateful for. They didn't make anything difficult for us and I had very specific directions that were prob unnecessary and annoying and hit every shot with ease. Their equipment was awesome, so many ppl said their lights they brought and things like that were so cool. I also used Angela for her bouquet casting business which was awesome because she was able to take the flowers and I didn't worry abt them and I even got a picture of the flowers the next day confirming she got them.
