Yeah, well it closed down but No Shop has risen through Thrift Towns ashes and the legacy of vintage lives on. The staff is exceptionally stellar!!!!!!!!!! They were so nice to me, gently letting me know that my YSL bag was a counterfeit, to educating me on why a diamond studded red velvet dress is a hard sale in the middle of summer. They don't take brands you are familiar with, but I did see some Nautica and American Apparel in there...but for the most part no H&M, Forever 21, Hollister, Abercrombie, zara etc. Beautiful collection of vintage clothes, from a Jacqueline Onassis inspired pink dress to a Save the Earth vintage denim jacket, and a planet on it's back studded with sequins. Beautiful merch.

I have to admit that I didn't really go through the racks here as I enthusiastically did a couple shops before this one, so this is on our list to revisit a next time. The space itself is super funky, quirky, and fun, tucked below an art gallery with artwork throughout, which gives it a really unique, creative vibe. There is a bar downstairs and they have a great selection including mocktail options It's one of those places that feels a little unexpected in the best way, and every event I've been to there has had a great energy and is intimate. The only downside is that there's just one bathroom, which can lead to really long lines and wait times during events. Otherwise, no complaints definitely a spot I'd keep coming back to.

The bartender was chill and quickly served our drinks. The drinks were from pre-batched and cans, but still served their purpose and because they were fast, the vibes kept vibing. Majority of employees I've had a decent experience with except time and time again I keep getting profiled by this older lady in the store(the only one). Getting followed ruins the shopping experience, makes me not want to buy clothes and overall she is not good at fake sorting clothes. Let's sell vintage Americana but she should keep out the faux sf hippie/punk hybrid to culturally conservative surveillance vibes out the store. Don't lose out on money from profiling people! I had an experience very similar to another reviewer's: two female staff closely followed me around…read morethe store and hovered near me while pretending to adjust racks. When I paid by credit card, I was asked for ID and told that "credit card thefts are very common here." I have lived in the U.S. for years and never get asked for ID for ordinary retail purchases, so in the context of being watched throughout the store, this felt like racial profiling rather than a neutral store policy. What made the experience especially upsetting was the contrast between the store's self-presentation and how I was treated. This is a vintage/counterculture-looking space in San Francisco, with a sign at the entrance advertising itself as the city's "No. 1" vintage store, yet I was made to feel like a risk object rather than a customer. I did not feel welcome or trusted as a non-white customer, and I would not feel comfortable returning.
