I received immediate medical attention from a very kind and caring Nurse Practitioner. Diagnosed with sinus infection, got a shot and meds for a very low price. The visit was only 45 minutes! Two sweet smiling Jennifers will be there to help get you in as quickly as possible! There has never been a time that Ive called and have not been seen THAT DAY!! They will work you in as fast as possible!!! You will not have to wait long before being brought to the back to the nicest exam rooms, full of great working toys and original artwork adorning all of the walls! The art is created by Lana Griffith herself, and it has such a cute and whimsical feel, as well as pictures of her family! (Which makes me feel so at home!) The ladies checking your vitals are always so friendly and smiling, making you feel like family. After a short wait you will meet Lana or Randall, who are genuine and wonderful people who actually care to spend the time getting to know your story, history, medical issues, etc! When walking out, you will feel thouroughly taken care of, and satisfied. For the kids, there's a great treasure chest full of goodies to choose from while mom or dad is paying! They don't even accept my insurance but I will go there every single time because of the happy feelings I have upon leaving! I have literally been in and out in 20 minutes before!! It's amazing to me! I've never had any problem they couldn't help me with, and all the while, giving me the care and concern of a family member. After sitting in waiting rooms for hours on end, waiting in the exam room for another hour, and feeling rushed the whole appt at most other dr offices, Griffith Family Health is a refreshing change! She took us to an exam room and weighed him, then checked his blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. She left and said the doctor would be in shortly. After a long while we noticed that office activity had gotten quieter and quieter. We had been in there almost an hour and it was right at closing near 5pm. My wife finally stepped out and asked if the doctor was going to see us! We weren't the last patients to check in, as there were a couple after us. But we were the last to get to see the doctor and the last ones to leave. We felt like we got out on the back burner while others were moved ahead of us. We were pleased with the doctor on prior visits, but after this experience with the staff personnel we have elected not to go back and found a different pediatrician. They were not THAT busy and we felt they were being just a bit predjudiced.

I visited this facility early March 2020. Before all the news about covid-19 hit the USA. I told…read morethe nurse practitioner that I was short of breath, had a cough, low fever, fatigue, loss of taste and smell. She told me I had a virus to go home. No tests were needed. I asked if she could order a chest X-ray and if I could get tested for covid-19 - or at least the flu. I tried to tell her I had recently took a flight to Miami, Florida to see family - but she cut me off, saying: my symptoms were not consistent with covid-19 & that she was not going to "waste a test on me". My husband and I were stunned at her response! She made me feel as if I was "acting" or "seeking attention". It was a HORRIBLE experience! The worst one I have ever had - To feel that sick & be treated so poorly by a medical professional. It's not right!!! In the end, she did order a chest X-ray, but did not do any other tests. She smugly told me that the x-ray was clear, "as she knew it would be". I went to work the next few days - I'm a high school teacher. Four days later my husband had to rush me to the hospital b/c I could not breath. I tested positive for influenza A, influenza B, Epstein Barr - & COVID-19! I was sent to Houston and hospitalized immediately. My husband had to contact the school. By God's grace, none of my students tested positive for covid-19. Hindsight is 20/20. I should have questioned her... gone to Beaumont for another opinion. But I trusted her b/c she is a medical professional! I've debated writing this review. I live in Mauriceville. My children have grown up here & I love my small town. My PCP is in Orange, my dentist in Vidor. So I did not want to cause problems. However, the lady that treated me should be aware that she was dead wrong & that her negligence could have caused an unimaginable amount of repercussions!! I could have died, leaving my husband and children alone. I could have infected all of my 157 students. I could have infected my family, friends... So many things could have happened. If she was tired, she should have gone home! It is my hope that the correct people read this review & that steps are taken so that this situation NEVER happens again!!!
