My regular gastroenterologist referred me to Dr. Desai because I guess I have unusual anatomy. I went in for an ERCP but my regular gastroenterologist couldn't complete the surgery and called Dr. Desai to come in and he suggested he try and do the surgery again later that day. I loved that he sat and explained everything that happened and would happen to me and my husband and even allowed my husband back in the surgery room for a few minutes as he knew I was pretty nervous. My husband said while I was in recovery he came out and explained again what he did and actually gave him his direct number with any questions we might have later. Fast forward a couple weeks and I went back to see Dr. Desai as I still wasn't feeling well and he suggested another surgery but he explained everything and why I needed it and totally calmed my fears about everything. He has a wonderful bedside manner and really listens to you and answers your questions in a down to earth way. The office is convenient for me too, located on Blossom in the same building as my primary care doctor so that's awesome! I also adore his office staff! They are so friendly and they get stuff taken care of! I was going to a different gastroenterologist and I like him ok, but I'm not going back to see see anyone but Dr. Desai now!

He would not listen to me. I tried to explain to him that I was sent there on a referral for some very severe problems. I explained to him what I have been doing the past two weeks. He basically told me to go home and keep doing what I was doing that I would be OK. Are you kidding me? If you don't have Covid you don't exist in the world right now. I wouldn't recommend this physician to my dog.

Polyps were found and one of a decent size. As I understand it, proctologist will take A biopsy to confirm whether or not the polyp is cancerous. OK, if the biopsy returns a benign result case should be closed. However, this humorless and emotionally detached imbecile caused me more than a month of pain and I mean gut wrenching, writhing pain. I found out after several days of severe abdominal cramps and absolutely zero energy, that I could've been very near to death due to bacteria breaching or entering the bloodstream from the location where the biopsy had been cauterized. This uncompassionate physician with no bedside manner did not answer his calls in a timely manner and brushed aside my concerns, stating that it was more than likely the Chinese food that I had eaten three days after the exam. Long story short, I seat consultation from several other proctologist in the area and they appear to be a network of individuals who could not provide an objective view. I finally opted to visit with Dr. Clemmons and was extremely pleased with his level and depth of knowledge, including his professionalism. Not only was Dr. Clemens able to correctly diagnose why I spent two days in agonizing pain in bed, as opposed to going to the emergency room for some indefinite period of time as Dr. Sohaib had stated, dr. Clemmons, true to his Hippocratic oath was also concerned that my brother had a higher than normal likelihood of also having polyps and recommended that he get tested as soon as possible. Sadly, but one last testament to Dr. Clemmons thoroughness, he identified a smaller Polyp that had been overlooked and undetected by the original hack, Dr. Faruqi. Dr. Clemmons, A very respectable, professional and knowledgeable physician with a wonderful bedside manner. I cannot recommend him enough. Marc

I will NEVER go to this place again. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and waited 2 hours after scheduled time in waiting room. Was taken back and waited another 45 minutes after undressing. When they came in the procedure room. The doctor got started. I did not recvd an IV. I was in alot of pain and told them repeatedly it did not feel right. The nurse, not sure if she was a nurse or not. I was still VERY alert, and she proceeded to give me more sedation (I did not ask for) and then Dr Clemmons entered and started the procedure. I felt the pipe tubing and lots of stomach pushed (literally) and I was screaming in pain. No one even asked me if I was ok. Horrible experience. With all the anesthesia I just blacked out and hours later in recovery my husband appeared. A lady told me the Dr would be in to talk to me, and I do NOT have any recollection of any. Upon meeting Dr Clemmons at first I thought he was a nice doctor but whatever his reasons where I felt literally like I was a number. No one followed up they gave me paperwork AND SAID THEY WILL FOLLOW UP IN A FEW DAYS. Never DID. I took the findings to another doctor he asks what this is. I'm so embarrassed hate that I allowed this office to do my colonoscopy. not even sure i trust the results. I called to speak with him, and it was way too many pauses, he was very disconnected.

Dear Dr. Ryan Barrientos, MD…read more I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unprofessional conduct I experienced during a phone call with your office on October 28, 2024. I was referred by my primary care physician, Dr. Kaveh Samani, to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ryan Barrientos for a colonoscopy. During the call, I encountered behavior that I found to be highly unprofessional and disrespectful. After disclosing the reason for my visit, I overheard laughter from the staff. When I inquired about this, the response I received was dismissive, and my subsequent requests for information on how to file a complaint were ignored. This experience has caused me considerable distress, and I am deeply concerned about the level of professionalism within your office. I request an immediate investigation into this incident and appropriate measures to ensure such behavior is not repeated. I anticipate your prompt response to this serious matter. I looked to see if my doctor's office group has a gastroenterologist and they didn't, so decided to call this office. At first they didn't have any appointments available within the few days that the ER suggested I see someone but then the nurse said that Dr. Subramanyam had one. Ok sure! The procedure is the same as everywhere: walk in, put your name on their list, pay your co-pay, take your seat and wait. Dr. S is usually pretty on time though, so I can't complain. He scheduled me for a series of tests and finally determined that the gallstone was in my bile duct not my gallbladder, and that I needed surgery. Surgery scheduled but although Dr. S said he wanted it done ASAP, for some reason his office nurse said I had to wait 3 weeks. I told her Dr. S wanted it done sooner but she wouldn't budge. Maybe there really weren't any available time slots but unfortunately in those 3 weeks I got pretty sick waiting. So I do like Dr. Subramanyam and I like his staff but they don't seem to get in as much of a rush as he does, so that's a little irritating. I would recommend his office though if you are in need of a gastroenterologist.
