I understand time is money but the immediate intense pressure applied caused my forehead to immediately sweat and blood pressure to spike. The gums and area around the extraction have been painful for what has now been a week. I believe that more time was needed to properly remove the tooth with more coercion and less force. The facility was nice and the office and support staff were very helpful.

I did see another doctor, Dr. Hallinan, for my initial consultation, but he was not available for my oral surgery timeline. I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Chambers for the next day. Dr. Chambers and Gaige (dental assistant) are the best! Extremely professional! Dr. Chamber's was very thorough and made sure I understood everything. While my procedure was occurring he constantly made sure I was ok and explained everything he was doing and any noise I was hearing. He even called later that day to make sure I was ok! A member of the office staff, Daisy, also called the following day to make sure I was doing ok. Dr. Chambers assistant, Gaige, is an outstanding assistant! He is very professional and extremely articulate for such a young man. I thought he was older and had been working in the field for several years. He has a bright future ahead of him and is a great asset to Conestoga Oral Surgery. Dr Chambers and Gaige make an outstanding team. I am over the moon that I was able to get them for my oral surgery.

5 stars for Conestoga. I had a broken tooth and went to another large dental provider in my area,…read morewhich I will not name here. Upon seeing my tooth I was told it needed to be removed surgically, and that I should have general anesthesia because it could require a lot of drilling and the root could break off. After finding out they mishandled my paperwork and going a week of hearing nothing about scheduling a consultation with their surgery team, a friend recommended I try Conestoga. I called Conestoga on a Wednesday, had a consultation with an oral surgeon for my tooth the next day, and the tooth was out the following Wednesday. The kicker? The oral surgeon (super guy) gave me local anesthesia and had the tooth out in 60 seconds...no broken root, no pain at all. My experience was great from the first person I spoke to on the phone, to the dental techs, to the surgeon. I recommend calling Conestoga for any major dental work.

The front office was nice as well as the nurse who took me back. I forget her name, but I do remember she said she was polish, anyways she was amazing and kind and happy. I absolutely loved her. Then I met Dr. Vakkas and was totally cool and down to earth and just explained to me what the procedure was going to consist of. I felt at ease and comfortable. *The day of surgery. My daughter so happened to wake up with a swollen face I took her in with me so that Dr. Vakkas could give me some insight on her cheek and see if it had anything to do with her teeth. (mind you, she didn't have an Appt and I was just wanting some professional insight) He was more than happy to check her. He never once said "I'm on a time crunch, make an appointment" for that I'm beyond grateful. So thank you Dr. Vakkas you could've easily said "no" but you didn't. Lastly, my nurses Ashton and Maria were amazing. Ashton was super cool and helpful and was my initial nurse and Maria was the one to recover me after. Both amazing and I have left with such a great experience. I am now 3 days post op and I feel amazing. I have not taken my medication once. I am not in any type of pain. I feel sore, but no pain. I really thought I would be out and not able to do much. However, I feel amazing and I didn't even get swollen. My husband said " the Dr. did a great job, is why" and I couldn't agree more with him. Dr. Vakkas I can't thank you enough for being awesome and having a great team by your side. Cali Fam thanks you. God Bless You.

Cliff notes - run far away!!!…read more Went in as a new patient with bad tooth pain. Office staff were okay. Spent their time chatting to each other. One telling the other her hair was really sticky from getting stuff in it while painting. Gross. Dental assistant was kind & did xrays & scan. Dentist came in, asking what was wrong, so explained my toothache. He replied curtly, "You need a root canal" I was surprised as less than a year ago I'd had a very comprehensive exam & crowns, no cavities or root canals were mentioned. I asked if he could tell that from these xrays. His response was, "no, I don't need xrays I go by the symptoms a patient tells me." What??! I should have ran out from Dr Quackers there & then. Sigh. He then blew air on the tooth & tapped on it. Nothing. So he then says,"your issue is you have a crown there & the surface is too flat." I know it is meant to be bumpy, so kind of made sense to me. He got a drill & was grinding at the tooth for a while, no questions as to if I was okay with that, doing fine? Afterwards I commented that the same tooth on the other side was probably the same as it was also a crown. Dr Quackers response, "well that isn't the issue is it, so we're not going to touch that." Okay then. Then a final sweet goodbye from this gem, "now don't chew on that side of your mouth for 6 months, then come back & see me. We'll see how it is going then." I looked at him wondering if he was serious, he was! He said just learn to push the food over to the other side. 36hrs later & I am chewing on the other side of my mouth! I had a cold drink & no issues. Then had a yogurt though & that caused sharp pain that lasted for about 10 minutes. So now I am left to look for another dentist. This time hopefully not as pretentious, haughty or flat! So there goes a few hundred bucks to Mr Quackers. Beware & be aware!!!
