Drs sudbrink and vakkasl, i love you. after reading all the great reviews on yelp, i thought they might just be the guys to consult in about the removal of my four wisdom teeth. since i just moved here to from chicago with my husband, i was kinda dazed and confused on where to go and who to see about this surgery which i've been putting off for years. i am the baby of all babies. anything with teeth freaks me out. i am not kidding you, before this experience, i was PETRIFIED of the thought of having to be put under. we are talking bad dreams, cold sweats, mental breakdowns, sleepless nights, you name it.... i did not want these things to be out. sudbrink oral surgery was a eye opening experience for me. after booking my consultation appointment, i was put at ease about all these fears of mine involving being put under for my first surgery involving anesthesia. this office is no joke, VERY professional and dr. sudbrink is renown in his field! my husband and i both agreed that this would be the place i would go for the removal. the day of my surgery (yesterday) i was extremely nervous. i was up all night anxious and not knowing what to expect about being put under for the first time. when we arrived at the office, after filling out some paperwork, i was immediately called in to get this thing over with. this is when i really started freaking out. what was going to happen!? i looked around and all i can say is this place is very clean and sharp yet very relaxing and almost tranquil at the same time. they were going to be playing me some sort of music to calm my nerves. this was another plus in my book. i closed my eyes to try to relax. the assistant hooked me up to some heart monitor sort of thing, and she started the laughing gas. (i've never had this either) dr. sudbrink came in, reassured me everything was going to be okay. popped the needle in my arm and after that i don't remember a thing. 25 minutes later....(only 25 minutes?!) i woke up and it's like nothing ever happened. trippy. my husband surprisingly didn't try to film me like david at the dentist but i was feeling good. my mouth was numb and i was in a different world. i look back and think why was i being such a baby about this procedure? it was so simple and in my eyes the best dental surgery experience i have experienced. and i still haven't really felt any major pain. dr. sudbrink even gave my husband and i a call later on to make sure everything was going smoothly. thought this was a nice touch to his professionalism. thank you dr. sudbrink for making this such a great experience! i would highly recommend you and your staff to anyone looking for an amazing wisdom teeth removal experience! Back in November, I set up an appointment to see Dr. Sudbrink. The atmosphere was quiet as I entered the office and checked in. I filled out forms and before I knew it I was entering a room to discuss my wisdom teeth. Before I knew it, I was setting up an appointment to get my wisdom teeth removed. Fast forward to today, I woke up following the directions of not eating from midnight on and so fourth. I arrived at the office, greeted with and smile, and signed my forms. Time seemed to slow down. I began to get nervous and when they called my name my heart raced. As I walked back the corridor the nurse was fantastic and took her time to explain everything that was going to happen. This help calm my nerves. She went through the paperwork to make sure I knew everything as well. Before I knew it, I was getting my iv put in and they were very kind, gentle and caring. Next, the doctor came in and told me what was going to happen and the process began of putting the general anesthesia in. Only a few seconds past and I was out like a light. I woke up to a numb face but no pain. The Dr had done an amazing job and I was in and out within 20 min. I never imagined getting four teeth out would be so easy. I've never had any type of surgery done, until my Dentist recommend I get my wisdom teeth out- because they were impacted and starting to poke through.. nervous enough about the word "surgery" she recommended the BEST facility, Subrink Oral. She explained she tells all her patients to go to them because they really know how to care for their patients. And of course at first I thought it was all fluff. Until I called their office and spoke to the lovely front desk woman who asked me a few questions and helped me set up my appointments, she even added me to all THREE of their locations so I would get the soonest appointment. (God bless). I went into their Ephrata office for my consultation and I had the sweetest assistant who made sure I had an appropriate timed appointment with the cutest doctor! Lol. I felt so very taken care of! And the day of my surgery I came in the Lititz office and it was so quiet and peaceful, the relaxing setting did just that- relaxed me! I was walked into my room and was sat comfortably and they explained everything to me step by step and I felt so much better about it all. They put me to sleep and had me awake in no time! I recently got all of my wisdom teeth removed, and it was a really smooth process for me. My dentist had been telling me for years to get them out, but the whole thing just made me nervous, so I kept putting it off. The dental technicians, Patujga and Ashton, made me completely comfortable from the moment I walked in. They were talkative and friendly, and when I had to wait a few minutes for the procedure to start, they came back often and checked on me. In particular, Patujga was almost maternal in the way she compassionately cared for me. She explained exactly what she was doing, she squeezed my arm comfortingly, inserted the IV without any problems (and my weird veins usually give nurses problems). After the procedure, she made sure to carefully explain aftercare protocol to my husband, helped walk me to my car, and even tucked a blanket around my legs. The office followed up twice after the surgery to make sure I was healing well, and I had no problems at all. Hey, nobody wants to get their wisdom teeth out, right? Sudbrink Oral Surgery preformed my Wisdom tooth extraction for all FOUR of them. When I went in, I was nervous, my heart was pounding so much; then then some familiar faces met me. Even though I had been appointed in the Ephrata office for my surgery, Dr.Vakkas, Nurse Joanna and Katelyn were also there to greet me. Their very calm attitudes and confidence kept me relaxed and ensured me that everything would go great. Since my veins are hard to find, they had to put my IV in my hand and man it HURT. But they were by my side and rubbing my arm to soothe the pain. I felt very comforted and cared I even got a blanket to keep me warm during and after the surgery. When I woke up from anesthesia, I started to sing Christmas songs that were playing and it was great to hear them laugh and interact even though they were busy with other patients. When you do 12+ wisdom extractions a day, you know that they've gotta be the best. I recomend them this elite team to anyone who is unsure to where they should go for their surgery. Losing teeth and losing sleep by Gavin Scott It was a dark dark day when I got the news, my Orthodontist said they were coming out in twos! I asked my dad, "How can this be?" I need 4 teeth pulled, that's more than 3! As I left with the news I asked, "What now?" My dad said, "Son, you will be fine. I'll tell you how." We went to the place we were recommended to. When I heard the word surgery and I said, "With Dr. Who?" His name was Dr. Sudbrink. What did that mean? Was he a good Doctor or would he be mean? When I arrived I was greeted with a smile, the staff at Sudbrink explained the pain would be mild. Nikki and Maria said the procedure would go fast. They put me in a chair and gave me laughing gas. Dr. Sudbrink came in and put me to sleep. They pulled out my teeth, I didn't make a peep. When I woke up I was treated with special care. Thank goodness my 4 teeth were gone and it wasn't my hair! I have been extremely happy with the service I've received from the sudbrink oral surgery. My previous dentist referred me here. I received two very enthusiastic referrals to these oral surgeons. My friends were absolutely right. I've had no problem at all getting or moving appointments. In fact, they have called me when they have an earlier or better spot open up to see if I'd like to take it. They text me appointment reminders too, which is so helpful. Dr. sudbrink had a great chairside manner - very informative, very connected and very empathetic. I also like that we have a plan for my teeth, and he helps me make informed decisions. One of the things I noticed was the attention to detail. For example, they changed the plastic handle cover on the overhead light before he started working on my mouth. I had to have one of my wisdom tooth removed so I did a quick search on Google & the Yelp page for this place came up with mostly all 5 star, glowing reviews with good reason! This place is AMAZING!!! I called on a Friday and was given an appt. for the following Tuesday! I asked the receptionist to call me if an earlier appt. became available & within 1/2 an hour, she was kind enough to call me back to let me know that an appt. for tuesday morning was available! They are, hands down, the best oral surgeons ever!! The surgery to remove my wisdom tooth was quick & nearly painless! They prescribed me pain meds but I ended up not needing them! I didn't have insurance & the price was pretty reasonable for what it was! If I ever need an oral surgery in the future, I would go back without hesitation! My first experience with Sudbrink Oral Surgery was when I was in 3rd grade and had to get two baby teeth removed. This time, they removed my wisdom teeth and it was my first surgical experience. Katelynn and Pajicia were amazing and very caring for me after I was finished and even before; making me laugh and giving me a blanket to stay warm. When I came in for my initial appointment, Dr. Vakas was very welcoming of me and made sure I felt comfortable the day of my surgery. After my surgery, the nurses made sure I was all set to go home and even made me say some crazy things, such as calling myself Superwoman! I believe that Sudbrink Oral Surgery would get a 5 star and I will state several different reasons why. I am a 17 year old teenager and my biggest fear is Anasthesia. Even though I came in today panicked, all of the staff was completely supportive of me. The kindest people I have ever met in my entire life. The Dr., the nurses, and everyone was so supportive and nice to me before and after my surgery. They treated me with the upmost respect and care. They were so nice and caring to me that when I woke up I asked two of the nurses for a hug and both hugged me. The reason that I had hugged them was because of the outstanding performance and support that they had given me. I felt like they treated me like family at Sudbrink. This office should be ashamed of their business practices. Sudbrink attempted to charge a 10-year old $390.00 out-of-pocket for an x-ray. This practice lied & said the insurance company denied the claim. The insurance company exposed their fraud by stating an approval was never requested. When they were confronted with their lies, they agreed to finally submit a request for services. Upon submittal, they sent the wrong code & no medical documentation. Shavonne the Office Manager from the Ephrata office then smugly relayed it was denied. They will go to many extents to deny a child much needed services. That says a lot about their integrity. Sudbrink's scam didn't work on this child & they labeled us difficult. Due to their shameful ways, we will take the business elsewhere. read more

From the initial telephone call for an appointment to the actual surgery, everyone here is ahhhhmaaazzzingggg!! I was so impressed by the compassion that was shown to me and my daughter for just a routine wisdom teeth extraction. I had to admit that I was a bit skeptical because we do have medicaid and we are usually treated sub-par because we don't have high end insurance but that wasn't the case at all here. Everyone here from the receptionist to the nurses Matt and Maria to Dr. Vakkas were so accommodating and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and hoping we don't need their services again anytime soon but if we do, it is definitely worth the 45 minute drive!! read more

I was here with a friend who had oral surgery. She had her wisdom teeth removed and was very please with the staff and doctors and had no pain after the surgery. I was amazed at the amount of technology they have and the professionalism with the doctors and staff. They do Anesthesia and many any and many other things that you would expect from a highly advanced surgical office. Five stars to these people and he's healthcare professionals who seem to be dedicated to patients and their outcomes. We are lucky to have these kind of people in our community. Dr sudbrink and vakkas are awesome!! they are very kind smart patient and down to earth. I made an appointment about 3 weeks in advance to remove my wisdom teeth as they have been bothering me and I wanted to make space for Invisalign. This office can not take out all four wisdom teeth at once but can take two teeth at a time. This way you prevent infection and can eat solid foods on the other side of your mouth on the same day of the procedure. I have to say the procedure was actually enjoyable and I have been procrastinating on getting this done For no reason. It's been about a month now and I'll be scheduling to get the other two taken out this week. read more

Best experience i've had at any doctors/dental/oral office. We showed up 15 minutes late and they still took me right away no problems at all, i even forgot to take the medicine that they gave me so they gave me more on the spot. All the nurses, i believe their names were Patrycia and Katelynn, were extremely nice and funny. Me being very uncomfortable with shots and IV's i was worried going in, they helped me relax and everything went very smoothly. For my insurance I had to travel from Carlisle to Lititz about 45 minutes and I'm very glad that I had to the people at Sudbrink did more than just make you feel comfortable and not uneasy in any way or anxious. They had what they were doing down to a science and dr Vakkas office did such a good job that I am on my first full day of recovery and I already feel great. I would highly recommend this oral surgeon for anyone who has to have teeth pulled. I have to go back in 2 weeks to have more teeth pulled and I'm actually not dreading going to the dentist... can't say I've ever said that before! read more

My son just had all four of his wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Vakkas. We were greeted right away and taken back within minutes. The Nurse's Matt & Jen were amazing with my son. He was very nervous and Matt started talking to him about video games and it helped so much to ease his mind. After the surgery I was taken back to my son and was given detailed instructions and what to expect. It was such an easy transition and I felt at ease coming and leaving there.
