When considering where to buy glasses this is the place. You got your prescription now you want the glasses. They text in couple of hours to come back and get them. They take most insurance. The prices are good. The people were trained the same so they are interchangeable. Wait time is short, if at all. They have a good selection. Free case and microfiber cleaning cloth. I purchased a pair of glasses on 12/31. Although I took my original pair in the store with me, they didnt check to see (or verify) my frame size. When I went to pick them up, they practically throw them at us.... no "fitting" or adjustments at all. In the store I pointed out the left nose pad was terribly bent. Without asking the worker grabbed them up, and attempted to "fix" them. As you can see in the picture, its still not straight. Anyway, got to the car and notice the whole frame is twisted!! (After getting home there was a small scratch on the lower right lens too.) I called the Topeka store and asked to speak to the store manager. I spoke to "Rich". I explained the situation and was told I could bring them back and they would replace the frames if their "integrity was compromised." I went to the store and tried to explain they sold me a 49mm size frame when my original glasses are a size 54mm. They continued to offer to exchange the frames with the same model. I requested to speak with the manager and told the employee I would need a frame that fit.... I asked if they had the same frame but in a larger size? He returned and said he didnt have a larger frame in that model, but I could pick another style frame and exchange them. (Maybe we were on the right track?..... well...) I said I had looked at the small selection and I didn't find anything I liked. Because if this, I again asked to speak to the manager.... and requested I be given store credit so I could return at a later time and hopefully find something. The employee returned .... (once again without the manager) ... and said they credited my copay to the account, and returned my insurance payment to the company! Wtf!? ‍ I requested the manager once again, and asked why he was hiding? I said tjat wouldnt work and IF needed I would just take the original bent glasses with me and return at a later date to exchange them. The employee returned with the glasses (and no manager! ‍) and gave them back. I have decided to contact the District manager (has proven to be extremely difficulty to find anyone... hmm) as well as the BBB, Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, FB, Yelp, etc. read more

After my experience at Success Vision Express, I may as well be blind. THAT is how bad the customer service at Success Vision Express is. I don't know if it was sexism because I am a woman, the inability to count business days, or the blatant disregard for other people, but I am very disappointed after my most recent visit to this establishment. I went to Success Vision close to 1 month ago to pick out a new pair of glasses, and hopefully see the world in a new light. Upon purchasing, I was told I would receive a call in 5-7 business days. 5 business days, one week, 7 business days, TWO weeks go by... and NO one at Success Vision has contacted me to inform me of my order completion. I came in to Success Vision one afternoon after my long wait, and was given attitude from the workers that "The order has been done for quite some time. It's surprising you didn't come in sooner." As if I should've known and been able to compensate for their lack of communication! I then tried on the specs they gave me and, lo and behold, my left eye prescription was completely incorrect and I could not see through them without extreme discomfort and loss of depth perception. The store was closing, so I was told to inconvenience myself and come in later with the glasses to get them fixed. I came in again (my next mistake!) and went to the counter to have them repair the damage they had bestowed upon me, and I was told I had to wait THIRTY minutes while they helped other customers pick out glasses. Once receiving service, I was told I must wait ANOTHER 5-7 business days for them to change the prescription in my glasses to the correct one. I urge everyone to take their service elsewhere & save yourselves from the upset that Success Vision has caused me. read more

Success Vision in Manhattan Kansas was freeeeekn AWESOME!. They r kind and polite. Take MOST insurance. They dont make u hurry up thru the paperwork. Get ye eye exam next door. Get your papers go to other door. Same building. Pick out your frames and what u want done grab some lunch across the street. Pik up yr glasses and zoooooom yr off and not runnin n2 stuff. I got prescription sunglasses. Exam frames fitting and out the door with my purchase under 2 hrs. Place nice clean friendly. Lets u try on frames off the wall and dont complain when u cant find how to put them back. They dont follow u around. They even put your "i dont know if these work 4 me" frames back. I went to my regular optometrist office to get replacement lenses for my glasses, knowing that my insurance would only cover new frames every two years, but would cover new lenses. I was told that the lenses would be $239 with insurance. I knew that I could get them replaced through an online company for $139 without any insurance, so I left. As I was leaving I remembered seeing an ad for success vision express, so I stopped by the Paducah store. They replaced my lenses in less than an hour for only $139, and they're perfect. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I did have to file myself for insurance, but that was no problem. I'll definitely use them again. read more

Got my glasses picked out and paid for on 12/14. Paid ~$150 out of pocket after insurance. They text me that night that the glasses were done. Went to pick them up the week of 12/16 and they had a large scuff mark across the lens. She said it was from the machine and disappeared in the back for a few minutes. She comes back and says they can give me a cheaper lens. I asked about what I already paid for and she said they could order it for sometime in January. So my glasses which apparently could have been ready in an hour may now take a month... Nothing was offered to make it right. The lady was pretty unapologetic. They didn't seem to care that a customer would be put off by their poor service. I've used them several times without issue but this will probably have me find a new glasses provider. read more

My nephew traveling from over 500 miles away broke his glasses. "Success" as they call themselves, refused to replace the frames for a 12 year old boy so he can wear his glasses! I was more than willing to pay for the frames and reuse the lenses, but they require a prescription for frames. Yes. What an "un-successful" business!! During COVID, I thought anyone would want business of any kind, but apparently "Success" is restrictive about taking people's money for only frames. This was the first time I have used success vision. I needed a pair of glasses, got quotes from several places in town, and found I could get 2 pair of progressive bifocals for less than the the price of one at the other places! I was somewhat concerned about the selection and quality of frames I would find, but found several sturdy,comfortable and stylish frames( I will be back because there are more frames I like! ) Chris,one of the staff, sold me the glasses,told me the best deals, and was even the technician who ground the lenses.I got them tinted,and Chris said if I was unhappy with the tint he would darken or lighten them.I went in to get one pair lightened, and by the time I walked around the store trying on other frames, they were done! I've never felt like a bigger inconvenience as a customer. After calling on the phone ahead of time and being quoted and told they could replace my lenses on an old pair of glasses(because the newer frames I got from them don't stay on my face and they had told me that what happens in the frames I chose there's not much they can do).. I informed them what time I would be there... show up on my lunch break in hopes this would be a quick confirmation and drop off... I wasn't acknowledged once, informed I had to sign in to be helped, told "hello I'll be right with you" when there's a total of 3 people in the entire place, anything... I wonder around a bit, waiting for the girl sitting with a customer to become free, or maybe the one reorganizing the glasses on the shelf to become available, or possibly the other girl handling a customer on the phone to be ready... so about 20 minutes go by and two of the three are now free.. I'm sitting waiting for someone to even look at me. Finally I see I'm supposed to sign in, so I do and sit back down. Another 10 minutes or so.. finally get my name called and explain the discussion over the phone and try to see a total cost so I know what I'm expecting just for her to simply say they can't replace my lenses. I have wasted 50 minutes of my hour lunch break to feel like I was in their way and not get anything solved. I could've saved a trip there and went somewhere else if I was simply told this over the phone. I bought a pair of glasses from SVE about two years ago. The experience at that time was ok. I was surprised that the advertised priced frames were very limited and was told they get different styles in from time to time. I asked if they could order a specific style, like small rimless that would be at a lower price. The representative said no, they do not know what they will get. This made me think the frames they receive are discontinued styles or slow selling. Not great but I did pick a frame and picked them up a little over an hour later. About 2-3 months ago I ran across an old pair of glasses. Since I am retired and I liked the frames, I started to sho around to find a place that could and would replace the lenses. Some places said flat out no. Other place in Lawrence asked me if i had insurance when I asked about lens replacement and when I said no, they said the cost would be $500....wow! This week I decided to go back to SVE in Topeka close to Diamonds are us. After a wait and then seeing the sign that required folks to sign, was seen. I showed the frames to the representative and asked if they can put in new lenses? She said she thought so but had to check with the "tech". After about 2-3 minutes the rep returned and said the tech said they could not because they are afraid they would break the frames when trying to snap in the lenses. I said B...S... there are screw that loosen the rims! I do not mind folks says the can but will not. I do mind this kind of response. It makes me wonder if the techs are that inept or the rep did not want to say they can but will not replace the lenses. Needless to say I will not set foot in a SVE ever again. read more

This was a HORRID HORRID place to go, especially for ANY specialty glasses (progressives, bifocal, etc). They couldn't get my glasses right, they attempted to fix them. STILL NOT RIGHT! So since they couldn't get it right, took them back to get money back THEN because of THEIR screw up, I GOT CHARGED 20% restock fee. Because THEY SCREWED UP! NEVER EVER EVER SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! Went to Walmart (of all places) and they are PERFECT! My suggestion is wait to get perfect glasses, don't rush your vision. There's a reason they are a 1 hour place, you get what they have in Stock and its closest to your script, not EXACTLY what your script is. Their selection for the glasses, 2 for $99 was a bit sparse. However, for my daughter and myself, we have found success in finding affordable and great looking glasses. Two pair for my daughter was about $150 after all fees and charges. Very happy. It can get busy, so at times customer service is less than adequate due to high customer volume but everyone has been very helpful and friendly. We have gone in to have our frames adjusted and they took a lot of time to get them just right to suite my daughter's needs. read more

Almost a serious case of false advertising, misleading to say the least. You can get 2 pair for $99 if you choose from about 20 frames (that are obviously no longer manufactured anywhere because they are so outdated, may as well been horn rimmed and cat eye frames). Also, was told it would take about 4 hours (what....? that's not what the misleading commercial said!).
