    The twisted frame I received from Success Vision Express.

    I purchased a pair of glasses on 12/31. Although I took my original pair in the store with me, they didnt check to see (or verify) my frame size. When I went to pick them up, they practically throw them at us.... no "fitting" or adjustments at all. In the store I pointed out the left nose pad was terribly bent. Without asking the worker grabbed them up, and attempted to "fix" them. As you can see in the picture, its still not straight. Anyway, got to the car and notice the whole frame is twisted!! (After getting home there was a small scratch on the lower right lens too.) I called the Topeka store and asked to speak to the store manager. I spoke to "Rich". I explained the situation and was told I could bring them back and they would replace the frames if their "integrity was compromised." I went to the store and tried to explain they sold me a 49mm size frame when my original glasses are a size 54mm. They continued to offer to exchange the frames with the same model. I requested to speak with the manager and told the employee I would need a frame that fit.... I asked if they had the same frame but in a larger size? He returned and said he didnt have a larger frame in that model, but I could pick another style frame and exchange them. (Maybe we were on the right track?..... well...) I said I had looked at the small selection and I didn't find anything I liked. Because if this, I again asked to speak to the manager.... and requested I be given store credit so I could return at a later time and hopefully find something. The employee returned .... (once again without the manager) ... and said they credited my copay to the account, and returned my insurance payment to the company! Wtf!? ‍ I requested the manager once again, and asked why he was hiding? I said tjat wouldnt work and IF needed I would just take the original bent glasses with me and return at a later date to exchange them. The employee returned with the glasses (and no manager! ‍) and gave them back. I have decided to contact the District manager (has proven to be extremely difficulty to find anyone... hmm) as well as the BBB, Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, FB, Yelp, etc.

    Rich was really nice & got me my glasses that day. Plus they are open on Saturdays. Would recommend to others.

Their side hustle is to pretend they "accidentally" billed your insurance company incorrectly, then send you an extra bill and make extra money. This happened to me at a Topeka Eye Doctors 6 moths ago. When I tried to argue it, they threatened to send it to collections. When I asked why they were the only company I've ever done business with that does this, they said "we can't speak for other companies, this is how we do business". Stay away from ALL Eye Doctors...or you will be billed extra after the fact, just like I was.

In doing so, I felt joy in knowing I was supporting secondary education and career pursuits. Unfortunately, I was not given the quality service that I know Dr. Eisenbarth could have provided me with. Rather, I was humiliated by Dr. Ostmeyer. During our appointment, Ostmeyer BOASTED about how gifted her children are in chemistry (as though I asked??!) and spoke wonders of the high quality education they receive at Hayden Catholic High School. Having no children of my own, but family friends in the Seaman school district (& my own personal fondness towards the district for offering opportunities to children such as Sammy), I mentioned offhand that I had heard that Seaman was receiving some of Hayden Catholic's old teachers. Boy, that was a mistake! Ostmeyer immediately interrogated me as to WHO these teachers were, and after naming off the names I remembered, she stated that they must be no good because she had never heard of them. The nerve! To bash on a good portion of the local youths' educators! Ridiculous. I stayed quiet the rest of the appointment while Ostmeyer continued to rave about how she is the alpha human. If I decide to return to this establishment, I WILL insist on receiving the care of Dr. Lance Eisenbarth.

    I would leave negative stars if it was an option. Went in for eye exam and ended up ordering…read moreglasses from this overpriced company. Got notified that glasses were ready for pick up. Drove in to get them to only find out that they were broken. They supposedly reordered them. 2 weeks later got notified that glasses were ready for pickup. Drove in, only to find out that they hadn't even been reordered. Asked for a refund and I'd just go somewhere else to get the glasses. They refused. Horrible customer service and shady operation! Stay away!!

I didn't catch the name of the assistant optometrist but she knew what she was doing. Each of the workers were professional and put up well with my strange sense of humor. I was a little concerned about another appointment I had at noon but I didn't mention it, I just called ahead and said I'd be late. I found a very nice pair of frames and thought I might need frames for sunglasses. The sign said buy one pair get one free so I thought for any 2 frames and lenses, I would be paying for the more expensive pair. The free pair was for either sunglasses or reading glasses and there were about 25 frames to choose from that had stickers on them. I went ahead and purchased 2 pairs at full price and got the third pair for free. A couple hours later I got a call from EyeDoctors and I was told I couldn't get the 3rd pair for free unless I paid an extra $45 for non-reflective lenses on both the first and second pair of glasses. I thought about my purchase and told them I'd come back in to pay the extra $45. Returning to EyeDoctors, I weighed the pros and cons and decided 1 pair would be sufficient with some clip-on frames. I thought I would pay them $10 to change the order and found out it would be $40 to cancel the two unnecessary frames. I waited about 10 minutes for the changes to be made and ended up with a slightly higher bill than it would have been without sunglasses or "free glasses". I wouldn't rule them out as a place to go but a couple of changes to make it more convenient for customers to purchase glasses would help. I wish them the very best!

I showed up 20 minutes early, only to be told they were running behind because a staff member had recently had a baby. I was asked to have a seat. Five minutes before my scheduled appointment time, I approached the front desk to ensure I was checked in--only to find out they hadn't checked me in yet. I ended up waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time before being called back. Once I was seen, I was pressured with upsells for services I didn't ask for and didn't need. The doctor seemed competent but spent less than 10 minutes with me and then directed me to another person for contact fitting. The contact fitting turned out to be a joke--just someone handing me a contact and a mirror. No instruction, no guidance, no hygiene consideration (like offering hand sanitizer or asking if I'd washed my hands). For this, I was charged $72. Luckily I had worn contacts before. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I won't be returning, and I won't be giving this office any more of my business.
