She seemed okay and I liked the school because it was an accredited Montessori. So I wanted to enrol my child as soon as possible. She told me that she will let me know if there was any available space for Jan. she told me to call a week after the interview and I did, she said she still doesn't know what's going on and to give her some more time so I gave her another week and called her and she said she still had no clue what was going on and she would call me as soon as she finds out. Anyways long story short, I had called her 4 times and left 2 messages she never returned any of my calls. Which I find is very UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE!! If you run a proper Montessori school which parents would like to enrol there children and pay you to teach them, wouldn't you at least have the common curtsey to call a parent back and let them know what's going on ? She never called me back. If she can't call you back on a simple yes or no answer that shows me she is not running a proper Montessori school that I would like to enrol my child in. So I definitely do not recommend this school for any parent. There are many out there and I would like to enrol my child in one where they care rather then not care!

The teachers were not only supportive and communicative, but they would always be available for discussions or a bit of extra help outside of class hours. The classroom sizes were perfectly tailored to foster growth and discovery but also ensure personalized attention when necessary. The learning modules were innovative, original, and forward-thinking, creating such a positive learning experience. The YMS staff have always ensured my daughter was welcomed with open arms and hearts, a true testament to their caring nature, and I always felt they considered us as part of their own families. The teachers and their attention to detail were instrumental factors in expanding my daughter's willingness to learn, growth and maturity. They have built a strong foundation, nurtured confidence, engaged social skills, in a way that truly demonstrates how much they care. Our daughter has gained such a fantastic foundation to grow on going into grade 1. We are so thankful for her teachers in the things they have taught her and just the overall way they handle parents and students. When we started the school, our children did not even speak English, not to mention the lag in their overall development. We expected some progress, but what the teachers achieved exceeded all our expectations. They not only worked on our children's fine motor skills and behavior, but they managed to teach them letters, numbers, basic reading skills and mathematics - things that we thought would be possible much later in time. We are especially impressed that in I Am Smart S-Cool, in parallel with the therapeutic work, there is a lot of emphasis on academic learning. In many of the specialized schools that we had previously considered, the academic material was quite abbreviated (due to the reduced expectations for children with special educational needs). In I Am Smart S-Cool, however, the teachers are very dedicated, work with great patience and love, and manage to unleash the children's potential. The children feel the love and care, and this creates peace and security for them. Whenever a person enters the school, a calm working atmosphere is heard. We are very impressed by the principal and all the teachers and therapists at the school. By their hard work, their patience, their tireless care and professionalism in teaching. When our son was to start JK this past year we looked at a number of public and private schools to find something that mirrored our experience. We were very lucky to have stumbled upon Olivet. The sense of community, strong emphasis on being a good kind person, small class size and importance placed on outdoor learning had our attention. We went for a tour and were welcomed with open arms. In a city like Toronto and the large class sizes in our public schools with so much attention in "checking" boxes and treating all children the same we were very happy and impressed with the culture and principles practised at Olivet. I strongly encourage any family contemplating an alternative to public school to invest the time to tour Olivet. We are very happy with our decision and our daughter will be attending once it is her turn.
