This is not an inconsequential sum of money. I recognize that I can't hold John accountable for Greg leaving the company, but working with Canine Trade Group means there will be absolutely no oversight over your trainer. Regardless of whether the trainers are independent contractors or not, someone in business with them should be culpable and take ownership of the situation. Efforts made in John's comments to characterize this as a misunderstanding between Greg and myself about "events that transpired" could not be more disingenuous. I paid Greg and got nothing for my money. I fail to see how this could be a subjective dispute. As for Gregory J. Stewart, he has seemingly vanished off the face of the earth, after indicating that he would return a comical fraction of my initial payment and failing to deliver on even that. I don't know if he's training dogs elsewhere but wherever he may be employed I can't recommend hiring him or working with him in any capacity, as he has shown me that he has no ethics as a professional or even as a human being.

She is so patient (with humans and dogs) and has a way of explaining things that just makes sense, to both of us. We worked entirely via Zoom, but I never felt like trainings were impersonal or unproductive. She's extremely flexible and really takes the time to understand your family, your pup and your situation and implement strategies that work best for YOU! And without any guilt trips for not doing things 100% perfect or "by the book" all the time - she's totally understanding of what it means to have a dog you love and a busy human lifestyle. I feel like I learned HOW to train Rocky as much as what to train him, which has been invaluable! Now I can apply what Heather taught me and make new progress on my own. I called to check on him about halfway through and received a very reassuring update. I also arranged for him to get a bath before I picked him up and was pleasantly surprised when I received a text and pictures the night before of him looking clean and happy right after the bath. I usually worry about Jack-Jack coming home with kennel nose, but that didn't happen luckily. Everyone was so friendly at drop-off and pick-up, and I will definitely be taking Jack-Jack back.

One of the biggest differences I noticed between Stellar Pets and the other places we tried was that Crystal was the only one who actually customized her behavior training to the specific personalities of our dogs. July 24, 2024, I took my 7# Yorkie to the Dog Stop for grooming. The groomer had 2 1/2 years of…read moreexperience, which concerned me, so I asked him if he thought he was good with some hesitation he replied yes. When I picked her up, they told me the groomer couldn't finish the job because she kept biting the groomer. I replied that she has never bitten or nipped a groomer & I was certain the reason for the behavior had to be because of the groomer. The manager and I argued back-and-forth. He held his ground and insisted it was my dog, and I insisted it was his groomer. After getting home, I noticed that my Yorkie kept licking herself. I looked more closely and saw the reason why she was nipping the groomer. He had injured her with a large clipper burn near her belly. I took a photo & went back to the Dog Stop to show the photo to the manager, Caleb, who offered such a lame apology that I felt it necessary to tell him that it was no apology at all - a further disappointment, and I told him so. I asked for a refund, which he did give me and then I went directly to the Vet for ointment.
