Nick recently serviced the Sub-Zero 356 at home. The Sub-Zero's 27 years old and virtually in excellent condition. Ice started forming in the interior back wall of the fridge as many fridges experience during its lifetime. The fact the Sub had nothing done to it professionally for 27 years is a testament to the build quality of Sub-Zero. I don't know what the new computerized ones are like but this "old school" version is a well built machine. Nick replaced the compressor and other parts including a detailed cleaning of the vent section above the Sub. He was very communicative via text message and had a professional, friendly demeanor. Nick was amazing. When I called for a service call, he answered the phone himself and allowed me to explain the problem. I had cleaned the condenser myself, but the problem persisted. My wife sent Nick a photo of the serial # and Model # so that he could bring any anticipated replacement parts with him. We just moved to our ne house and our model 532 stopped reaching an adequate cold temperature , we called another company who charged us $500 to refill the Freon and clean the coils with a statement it should most likely last a year, well 1 month later it no longer reached a cold enough temperature to keep our food cold without spoiling. This is the second time I called Nick to repair our Sub Zero. Nick replaced the compressor on the freezer first time around and this time the refrigerator compressor needed replacement. It's an expensive repair but it's a $12000 sub zero so you rebuild them! We obviously feel great about Nick to call him back and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Nick saved the day (not to mention a refrigerator full of food). I have a 30 year old built in subzero 550 that I realized wasn't cooling around 4p Saturday. He showed up soon after, diagnosed the problem (evaporator fan and cold control), had replacement parts ready, installed and finished by 7:30p. I called the company and Nick answers the phone. At first he seemed helpful and then after a few diagnostic questions about my Sub Zero, he quoted me a certain price including tax, labor and parts. When he gets here he decides to raise the price. On top of that he wanted to charge a diagnostic fee, which I understand is standard but when I specifically asked him about that fee, he did not answer whether there would be a fee or not until he showed up at my home. I find this practice to be deceptive. Be upfront with the customers and don't try a bait and switch after you get your foot in the door. read more

Nick and their tech have repaired my Sub Zero Fridge two years ago when I moved into our house. They did an excellent job. I reached out to them last night since my Fridge side was not cooling anymore. To my surprised someone answered on a Sunday night and was told a tech will be reaching out to me the next day to schedule time. Nick went above and beyond to text me personally and let me know there will be a tech coming in on Monday from 10am - 1pm and the tech will reach out 30 mins prior to arrival. Gary the tech came in around 10am to do the diagnosis, thank god for Complete Home Warranty who let me use my preferred vendor. Our cool controller needed to be replaced, Gary reaches out to our warranty company and they authorized the repair same day. It was completed within two hours and our fridge is now in working condition. Invoice was emailed complete with pictures of the repair. My SubZero model BI 36 U/O is about 9 years old. Five days ago I heard it making beeping noises like a door was left open, but there was no door open. The temperature inside went way up because the compressor had switched off because it thought the door was open. Luckily, this was just an intermittent problem and disappeared after about 30 minutes. I called several SubZero repair shops, most of whom quoted me days to get there and I didn't get to speak to the technician, just the answering service. In contrast, Nick called me right back and we discussed the problem. He was able to make a tentative diagnosis from my description and order the necessary part. Honestly, it still took him days to get to my house but he kept in contact with me letting me know his progress in getting the part. Let me start by saying repairs on a Subzero are not going to be cheap. I'm new to the brand as I inherited from a previous owner so I did lots of research before deciding which company I'd go to and whether it was worth it fixing it or not. I called Subzero Repair Group and explained the issue. Within minutes Nick, send me a complete error code list and parts that needed to be replaced a long with an estimate. It's hard these days to find companies that are so upfront when it comes to estimates and costs. Nick came to my house and did a detailed inspection just to confirm his initial diagnosis over the phone and the issue was exactly what he had told me. He was very knowledgable, professional and patient. He did an amazing job! and guess what, the final bill was slightly cheaper than his first quote! I would just encourage Subzero Repair Group to offer a better warranty on the labor (especially for major repairs) as it's only 30 days. Other than that, I highly recommend them.
