I ordered a footlong oven baked Turkey sub. The sub was pretty good. The staff didn't seem very friendly.

There aren't many places you can get a sub and fries or chips, but this is one of them. It is a true mom and pop shop. Steve and his wife are usually around somewhere. If they aren't there then their son is. Give it a try if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.

It used to be that I would have to struggle to get my mouth around those delicious meat balls. But over the past three visits, the meat balls are subpar! I seriously thought they were just running low on meat the first time my sandwich had two meatballs. The last two times the meatballs have been the size of marbles. I really would love to continue eating here but I can't support the lack of food that I've been given the past three times. It's been a hard and sad decision because I loved their meatball sandwiches but honestly "Where's the Beef?" If you fix the issue, please shoot me a message because I really do love the food. I just can't validate spending $10 plus my gas to get a sandwich full of sauce, two micro meatballs and a bunch of sauce. Please make it right again. Please!

Our friends ordered a small onion ring for the table to start. I must say they were great. The onion did not pull out at all from the batter. Very hot and probably among the best I've had. I ordered the Mama Henry Burger with no tomato and crispy wing chips. My wife ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and Tots while our friends ordered the Fried Chicken sandwich with crispy wing chips and the Club Sandwich with Medium wing Chips. We all agreed that the wing chips were some of the best we've had. Perfectly done. My burger was very good. Fresh lettuced, red onion, cheddar cheese/bacon and on a nice bun. I'd order it again! My wife's Philly cheese steak was also very good. We all liked the meal. We had to ask about the home made ice cream. I'd been here once before and had a hard time believing they really make their ice cream here at the restaurant. They had (I think) 18 flavors. The waitress brought three of us a couple of small spoon samples to try out the flavors. We ended up each getting a scoop in a small bowl and it was excellent. I don't think I can resist not getting the ice cream when I go back here. And she did confirm that Mama Henry does make the ice cream at the restaurant. We were all pleased with everything! Great service, food and atmosphere. Definitely will go back.

Mama Henry's Restaurant - A great find!…read more Our ROMEO group of nine went to Mama Henry's today for the first time. None of us had ever been here before--or, for that matter, even heard of it. Since last week was our 200th restaurant we've visited, which we celebrated at Hall's, I figured we'd go in the opposite direction for today's luncheon and try a good old-fashioned local home-cooking establishment. I had seen a review of Mama Henry's a couple of weeks ago, and it piqued my interest. We arrived around 11:15, and our waitress, Mahkinzey, set us up in the back area by pulling several tables together. She took our drink orders and gave us some recommendations. When asked what she would recommend, she said the 16-hour pot roast was great, along with all of the burgers. She also recommended the catfish Po'Boy and another dish, and then told us to check out their homemade ice cream. Of course, we never order dessert at lunch! The menu is extensive, and we had quite an assortment of orders: two roast beef dinners with mashed potatoes and vegetables, two open-faced roast beef sandwiches, two different types of hot dogs, a Philly cheesesteak, a club sandwich, and a Mama Henry Burger with some great home fries. There was plenty of conversation about how great the menu looked, along with some discussion about what a trip it was to get here from Northeast Columbia. But just like last week... when the food was brought to the table, the talking stopped and the eating began! Mahkinzey was an excellent waitress. She brought extra ice for the iced tea, kept an eye on our table, and did a great job keeping everyone's drinks filled. When we finished our meals, she brought out the extensive list of homemade ice cream flavors and told us we could sample them. Now picture this: nine ROMEO guys who NEVER order dessert suddenly piling up around the front ice cream counter. We were checking out the flavors like kids at the ice cream shop. One member announced, "I just can't order the ice cream." He had worked out that morning and apparently still had some willpower left. He watched as eight of us returned to the table with a scoop of ice cream. Between us, we had sampled about five different flavors. The comments started flying about how good the ice cream was. Well, apparently the peer pressure--or perhaps the ice cream--was too much. Our workout-conscious ROMEO finally stepped up his game, went back to the counter, and ordered a scoop himself...He didn't regret it When it was time for the official ROMEO rating, and we already knew this one was going to be good. What we didn't expect was just how good. Mama Henry's received a 9.71 out of 10, which tied the rating we gave Hall's just one week ago for our 200th restaurant celebration. Not too shabby! This is the highest rating we've given any restaurant before (tied with Hall's) But here's the kicker: Mama Henry's cost us about half of what we paid at Hall's--and that included ice cream! For a group that visits a different restaurant almost every Tuesday, finding a place this good that none of us had even heard of is a pretty special discovery. Mama Henry's is a true hidden gem, and apparently, a place where ROMEO can be persuaded to eat dessert.

Nice looking restaurant and by noon had quite a few customers. The menu had a great selection of Sandwiches, Meat and three choices, burgers, salads, chicken wings. We asked the hostess what she recommended and she gave us several options. The waitress did the same. The Tuesday's special was Meatloaf and three and the hostess and waitress recommended it, along with several other items. Three of us ordered the meatloaf with a choice of black eyed peas, collards, potato casserole, cabbage and a biscuit (corn bread). We also had an order for the Philly Cheese Steak, a Chicken wing and home fries and a hamburger/fries order. The hamburger order got the highest rating. It was a nice bun and the burger/cheese and condiments were proportional to the bun. He gave it a rating of 9.0 which was the high for the group. 2nd Favorite was the Philly Cheesesteak which looked good (rating 8.5). The order of chicken wings was a bit disappointing as he thought the wings could be crispier. The rub was good. The three of us that ordered the meatloaf weren't really impressed. It was okay but not great. The potato casserole was simliar. I did like the Collards, cornbread and black eyed peas. The meatloaf was just ok in our opinion. Waitress and staff were very friendly and took good care of us. Our ROMEO scale of 1-10 rating was a 7.8 out of 10 for the restaurant.

It is raining outside, I am otw to a meeting and needed these medications. Appears they could fill it right then since they were able to get it to me so quickly. I looked at the drive thru and there were 6 cars back after me. I explained I had already be in the drive tru for 35 mins and there were 6 cars which means another wait in a line and I had an appointment. At this point I am far from upset and raised my voice. I was told to come inside, move my car, or the cops would be called. The pharmacist then came to the drive tru and took my payment and ID and stated she will get my meds ready and bring them out to my car in the front of the store. - within 15mins my meds were deliver to my car. 1. Medications were not ready 30 hours after told they would be ready. 2. Why was it not stated in the beginning they will bring my medications to the front as soon as they are ready? Situation was escalated that could have been avoided. I moved from CVS years ago because of issues with meds not being ready. I have a few issues but to be expected but never like today.
