Standard FS location with same great subs as all their others. This one had an open dinning room. Masks not being required upon entry and half of staff wasn't wearing one, despite COVID numbers spiking in South Carolina. The dining room was large and mostly empty so easy to socially distance. Restaurant was mostly clean, but they did need to clean some trash from under couple of tables and clean the table tops. Staff was professional and made my sub pretty fast. The steak and cheese with added cherry peppers and Capt. Sorensen sauce (my personal fav) was really good. Seemed a little light on meat and peppers though, vs what I've received at other locations. The soda stream machine was working fine, and my Coke was tasty. Note that they were out of bacon when I visited on 9-1-21; I'm sure it was a temporary issue. read more

Service was fine and quick and all. I'm just leaving a bad review because I just did not like the food, even though I do consider what I dislike might be what others like. If you are looking for a crispy/chewy white bread for your sub, you won't like this kind of bread. It was soft as if not made with any gluten. Maybe toasting rectifies that? Secondly, I got a tuna fish sub- okayed all the items listed on it, including mustard. I was not expecting the mustard to be HONEY mustard. Usually that is a condiment that is referred to by It's full name, not simply "mustard". You say mustard, I think of good ol spicy or even plain old yellow. But honey?! Never. So it took me a minute to figure out where that unnatural, god-awful, sugary sweetness was coming from! Not ever would I think to pair honey mustard with tomato/lettuce/onion/mayo/tuna I feel bad like I don't want to waste food or complain, so I tried to eat the sandwich and it's the grossest tuna fish sandwich I have ever eaten- and tuna is one of those things that can easily be done terribly. But, tuna salad with honey?! I think relish is sweet enough. There is a time and place for sweets and it's not during lunch, but I don't have much of a sweet tooth to begin with. Mr Lawrence the GM running the shop was phenomenal. Very personable and welcoming upon entering. Efficiently got us through the line, food was great and hot. I hate to do this because the sub wasn't terrible but it also wasn't something to write home about. Holy moly the employees in this place are MISERABLE. They're so unfriendly and so unhappy. One of the better Firehouse Subs stores I've had the pleasure to visit. The staff was fast to friendly greet us as we arrived and take our order. It did take a while for our subs to come out after we order, but this isn't Subway; the food quality is much better. We got our sandwiches and they were delicious, fresh, and hot. read more

I love coming here to this location. They YELL "Welcome to Firehouse" as soon as the doors open. It is funny to me, and then they are so catering to your needs. I had stopped coming to this location for a while. The folks didn't seem as happy as they used to be. And oddly, while being out this way, I decided to swing by to grab a bite. It was a great experience. I hope that he stays around because the place was missing something without him. I arrived at 1030am Staff doesn't smile, no welcome to firehouse, acted like they didn't want to be here. I've seen work release inmates from jail or prison with better customer service. Last few times to this restaurant was unsatisfactory but decided to give it another shot today 7-7-24. Soon as walk in the customer service was horrible. Ordered our subs. Got the subs and found they were completely wrong. Approached the staff about it and was instantly met with attitude. Tried giving her my receipt to show how we wanted them and was told I know how to make subs. Got our freshly remade subs back or we thought. All they did was scraped off what we didn't want on one sub and just added what we wanted on the other sub. Bread was soggy since they didn't remake them like they should have. My girlfriend can't eat spicy foods and all she tasted was jalapeños since all they did was removed them and scraped off the Cajun mayo. I won't ever spend my money in this establishment again and I'll be spreading my experience around as much as possible. I believe the manager told them to just scrape off the subs because he was yelling at the employees because they were behind. Either way this experience was very unsatisfactory. read more

This place obviously has some serious management and productivity issues. I walked in. 6 people are working. One couple was seated. Besides them, no one was there. Upon getting ready to order, I was immediately told that it would be a minimum twenty minute wait. I looked around to make sure I was seeing things right. One couple eating their food, yet a twenty minute wait. Wow. I said ok, I'll go ahead and order. Upon ordering I was told that firehouse didn't have the toppings that came with my sub. One evening while visiting SC, my daughter and I wanted something quick, simple but also wholesome; not a typical fast food business. We stopped at Firehouse, as I had never eaten there before. For a sub place, the food was very tasty. The servers friendly, the atmosphere nice. Love that part of proceeds do go to local first responders. We both had the New York Steamer sub, which contains corned beef, provolone, etc. We both had our subs on the whole wheat sub buns. It was very good and really hit the spot. SLOWEST SERVICE EVER. Took 20 minutes to get my sandwich, absolutely ridiculous. Took 3 crew members to figure out how to charge a customer while others waited, won't eat here again! UPDATE: as I got the order to go, they finally called my name and the order, which was wrong. I told them that wasn't what I ordered, they looked at the ticket and told me "oh, it IS your order, we just called the wrong sandwich."
